@@Victor-Rojas I do, but am still shooting with my FS5 Mark 2s. I do not bill out full-time as I am also pursuing more than just film work. I thought the FX30’s might be a good way to get better low light results and really want better auto focus as I have been experimenting to create some of my own content this last year. The part that makes me keep up with my FS5s is the electronic variable ND. That is fantastic. If ai can squirrel enough cash away, I will go with 2 A7R5’s and this new ZV-E1 as a b-cam. It is such a huge expense to get new glass though as well.
I would say considering that there's the Canon R8, I feel this camera could be price more competitively at 1.8k-2k max. But people are still going to buy either way. For me, I'm just excited for the next version of the FX3 or might even try the Panasonic S5II just for fun.
Helpful I have seen a lot of videos abt E1 and I can't find anything abt photography things on in but you just cover everything and yeah it's also good for photography, we can do photos like Sony siii ?
Thanks Sidney. Question - Does it do APSC Crop Mode? If it does, what are the effects of a cropped lens with all the SMART AI functions like Auto Frame, Framing Stabilizer etc?

An Cybershot RX1r update would have been far more preferable and appealing. The 28mm Zeiss lens is still among the best lenses ever produced. Coupled with the 42MP FF sensor, the RX1r had great photo quality. Not sure why Sony dropped the ball with this one...
Thanks for the info! I am happy that Sony is now giving an option of their higher end tech for a more “affordable” price. I just don’t understand their overall strategy with their camera lineup. Like, they release the A7SIII then release a practically hardware identical camera with the FX3 and now this Sony ZV-E1. SMH
@youtubehandle4 of course but Canon is also known for crippling their cameras as well. The R1 might finally avoid this and be the ultimate super hybrid. We’ll see, hopefully.
Preordered mine. But I wish it had at least two dials and a 24MP sensor. it could've been the one to own for video/ photo...but again, gotta leave room for the ZVE2 :) One thing I noticed from your video is that the mic sounds great from the back but not so good in all the other modes. Omni and directional sound the same and not as good as when you are behind the camera. Great review.! Sidney
the good thing for me I am part of the ZV family, Just not that upper class, maybe they'll implement to firmware some of the e1 features, but other then that. I'll save my $2500.00 and continue to use my 1F, did not like seeing at 13 minutes the focus hunt or flare, maybe next time. SMILES
Definitely not for me in terms of it doesn't match my needs. Still like the idea of a hybrid shooter being able to do both photos/videos and a little bit vlogging at the side. Me being picky though, I actually wish this camera has two SD card slots. My vloggers friends like recording redundancy tooo ahaha. For the price, I would expect two slots. Being able to change your exposure (iso, aperature, and shutter) via touch screen makes me wish it was on my other cameras though haha ❤!

i wonder if the the a7iv has the ability thru firmware update to get better 4k resolution when above 30fps ... i feel like it totally can but they are just saving that to make people buy the next iteration of camera unfortunately
I don’t like the fact that Sony don’t release firmware updates as they should compared to other brands like Fujifilm and Panasonic. My A7RIV and A7SIII have not had any firmware update for long time.

It’s tough because the ZV-E1 borrows the best features from several cameras. FX3 is still better for professional production though.
Absolutely want this as a B/C camera to pair with my FX3 + A7IV for work.

You can clear image zoom to apsc format and it maintains all autofocus functions
