When I was learning how to checker wood stocks we were told that the purpose of linseed oil is to harden the wood. It must be completely dry to prevent clogging.
I'm not sure if the bark will stay on or not. I tried to make sure I got epoxy around the top. I've heard if a tree was cut down in the winter it has a lot better chance of keeping it's bark. No idea when this was cut though.
@@LastLeafStudioVideoi hadn't heard that the time of year it was cut affects it but i couldn't remember if I'd watched something before and the bark came off after a while . Time will tell i guess lol.
