Epoxy Live Edge Bar Top With Arrow Heads
Переглядів 8858 місяців тому
I made this live edge bar top out of ambrosia maple and real arrow heads found by the client. She gathered these arrow heads with her dad and asked me to set them into the bar top so she can cherish them forever. I was a little reluctant to encase these beautiful arrow heads in epoxy at first but she assured me that's what she wanted. This was one of my first big epoxy projects and I am very ha...

Great video, some great ideas that will make things easier!
Thank you
How much for one of these
I'm not really selling them anymore.
❤❤❤❤❤❤THANK YOU FOR THE GOOD YOU DO TO SHARE EVERY STEP OF MAKING POOL DECK FOR A SMALL POOL, THIS HAS VALUE IN MANY WAYS, ONLY IF YOU KNEW OF THE MANY WHO ARE THANKFUL, AND THE JOY YOU GAVE THEM, MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU, THE VIDEO IS 3 YEARS OLD BUT PEOPLE STILL SEE IT AND IS HELPING MANY, THANKS AGAIN AND BEFORE I FORGET, YOU HAVE AMAZING SKILLS TO DO IT BY YOURSELF; WOW!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much.
Awesome build!!! What's the height inside? Enough to fit an AR with a light mounted on the side?
I don't remember. I believe it was 3 or 3 ½ inches. It was made for an AR but youtube doesn't like when you show that stuff. 🙄
Very impressive 👏🏽!!!
Thank you very much
Just wanted to watch the deck get built. To many damn chickens in the way.
I know, they are awfully nosey critters
Atta boy, came out beautiful!
Thank you
Where can I find your plan and directions? I’ve looked all over.
I found the plans and have purchased. Thanx a ton!!!
Ok, awesome. Good luck
Awesome job, that look and the great reveal at the end... candy bars. Lol. Super cute.
Thank you. It's King of Random's design.
Agreed
How do I get this plan
There's a link in the description.
How long did this take you in real time
I think about 6 hours but that included another trip to the hardware store.
Awesome man!
Thank you
Is it wobbly ??
It was a little bit, so I added some 45° braces on.
@@LastLeafStudioVideo yea I just did one recently and did the same thing! Looks good man!
Great job! ❤ 👏🏼👍🏼🤘🏼
Thank you.
Do you take orders?😂😂😅
I used to, but I don't really enjoy making them anymore 😕
Tighten that chainsaw chain jeeez
Probably not a bad idea 🤔.
Thank you so much for this video! I loved it so much I then make it but put a laser engraving on top just because why not. I make it in my high school shop class to enter in my local FFA AG mechanics action. It looked really good and I just need to do some finishing touches on it. Hope it sells well and again thank you so much for making this video.❤
You are very welcome.
My husband would be asking for the screws the planks, the drill, etc . I’m proud you did this alone 😅
Thank you. I like to projects like this when everyone is gone for the day so it can be a surprise when they get home.
@@LastLeafStudioVideo that’s awesome 👏
I don’t see a height for this plan anywhere? How tall is it? Our pool is 42” deep.
Bottom right. You will want to make it about an inch taller than the outside of your pool.
The slow-mo chainsaw cut near the end. LOL. Great project!
Thanks
Started at 9am and just warpped up at 6:30 to include (1) trip to the Home Depot. I did buy the $4.00 set of plans (worked out great). Thanks so much from South Texas.
Awesome, it's a pretty easy project, but the cut list definitely makes it faster.
This looks great and a nice and easy project.
@@LastLeafStudioVideo
This is beautiful. Do you have any advice for someone who does not have the tools you've used here? Are there places that I can request + purchase a machined plank to use as part of the table I am making?
I know of sendcutsend.com but not sure if they do cnc. How big is the piece you want done?
Need to add one clip.
I'd love to see a picture.
So when setting the posts in the blocks you use braces. This keeps the posts plumb as u build the frame, right?
Yes, that's exactly right.
$311.52 in June 2024
Nice, I was thinking it was cheaper now.
How would i go about making the hooks if i dont have a jig saw? Im going to try to diy this
What tools do you have?
Over a thousand bucks by today's prices. Well over.
Actually I think it's cheaper now. This was peak covid prices.
Where can you buy the plans
In the description.
I like the video, deck looks great! I was just wondering how stable it is being that the legs are not cemented in the ground.
I later added 45° braces, and it was rugged enough for us. The kids could jump off, and I didn't even notice any wiggle. Get a 250lbs man to jump around on it, and that might be another story.
@@LastLeafStudioVideo Thanks for the update.
How far apart are the joists?
16" O.C.
Wow that sander in the background is Chinese torture
$30 yard sale find. I believe it's a "Central Machinery". Thanks for watching the video.
Just built this was wondering if you had an issues with it shaking? Or moving slightly with everything on it
I added 45° braces. I guess I left that part out of the video.
Is that the price with pressure treated wood?
Yes, it's all pressure treated. It might actually be cheaper now, these were covid prices.
The comedy in this video is on point 👌🏼
It's not supposed to be funny. It's a very serious instructional video.
bought the plan a few days ago went to menards in ohio got everything plus a 5 lb box on deck screws for $301 only thing i changed is i made stringers for stairs and now i have to go back and buy 7 more 12 ft deck boards to finish it up and insted of a 2x4 for the hand rail im going to notch it out and put a 4x4 there , thank you so much
Nice. Yours sounds like it's going to be built better than mine. I honestly only expected to have this up for about 2 or 3 years so I didn't go all out on it. Our pool is gone now but the deck as been moved and became a back porch for the house.
@@LastLeafStudioVideo I would love to send you some photos thank you so much for the plans and foundation
@@OMGitzBiGMike that would be awesome. Lastleafstudio1@gmail.com
Nice
Thank you
I bought plans but it does not show what size/type of screws. Same with the wood is it pressure treated fir?
Yes sorry, these plans were originally just for me so I left a bunch of stuff off. I used all pressure treated with 3" deck screws for framing and 1 5/8 screws for the deck boards.
Thanks, one last thing what was the spacing used on steps roughly?
@@fishingwithnehemiah901 that's going to depend on the height of the pool. This might help www.decks.com/calculators/stairs-calculator?calculatorNodeId=1918&totalRiseFeet=3&totalRiseInches=6&totalRiseFraction=0&stepRunInches=8&stepRunFraction=0&treadType=212&joistSize=8&stringerAttachment=Outside
Quicker!? Easier!? Yea when you fast forward the video,it's quicker! Click bait like a mofo
I think it's a lot quicker and easier than the one with crown molding and magnetic lock.
I’d love to know exactly what to buy to build this. This is exactly what I’m wanting to build for our pool.
I have plans in the description that includes the material list.
Roughly how long did this take you to build?
I think it was about 6 hours
Last
Last ?
This is so nice. The only part messing me up is how’d you know the spacing for the reader.
There's a template that came with it and then a bunch of trial and error.
Love the videos!❤ You should post a video of a workshop tour. I would love to see what the whole thing looks like.❤
I have thought about that, but it's really sub-par and messy 😬
@@LastLeafStudioVideo you should do it anyways! Where I do my work is 🗑️. I would love to see how you built you amazing pojects. Wish I could do and make the things you do!
@@Andrew-Jones Ok maybe I will. I'm planning on redoing it so maybe a good before and after.
Yep, I like it. Thought you were gonna lose me on the stairs by cutting the stringers. Thanks!
Yeah, stringers can be confusing. They are definitely better than the way I did it, but this is only a "temporary" structure.
I was at 3/6 back in 99 Semper Fi
Awesome I was with them from 05 - 08
Did you have to put an x-brace of 2x4's on any side of the build to stabilize it? Or was it too low to really require it? This is exactly what I was thinking of doing, but I'd love to position it so all the equipment is underneath, and maybe I can do a small rain-guard/ceiling underneath the floor boards to protect the equipment further. I guess UV will be my primary concern, so this would help greatly with that as well.
Mine was low enough. I didn't have any trouble with it wiggling. That's a good idea to put all your equipment underneath.
Wow! Awesome. Can you to come my house around 5, looks like it would be done by supper(6) 😅
Oh yeah no problem, what's the address? 🤣
Never seen anyone do stringers like that ever !
It's not the best way, and in some places, it's frowned upon, but my family is skinny, and we like to live on the edge.
Finally. Been trying to find simple instructions to build a small deck like this for ages. Nice work.
Thank you. Pretty simple
Small decks building
It's not the size. It's how you use it.
