Ohhhh Thanks Lord, I found picaso of Van Building before starting my own van.. Thank you bro for this so much detailed videos about van build. Love you work. Your videos are much informative and easy to understand. Keep doing this magnificent work. Really want to see this beauty you are creating on roads.
It's been done before on a campervan; using LizardSkin’s Sound Control coating, premium Ceramic Insulation and TopCoat coatings. Wheelwells in- andoutside, total inside of the car and engineroom, both sides of the bottom of the car, both sides of the firewall. No condensation and oh so quiet........ Used 4mm Bruynzeel plywood for the inside walls, quality A/B 20jr garanty, bonding: Exterior - outdoor application
Hey Dares! I saw you videos SO SO many times that I start remembering them like I was there with you. I receive my van by te end of the mount (2022 4x4 v6 sprinter). And I cant wait to start working on it. Hope you are ok, no news from you here in YT for the past year. or I'm missing a video.
I did the entire outside with lizard skin thermal and sound deadner. Sanded it smooth and painted the exterior. Want to do the inside as well. Its quite quiet I can Only imagine how much more quiet it will be when I do the interior.
It seems that you did the coating a while ago. What do you think now after using the van? It is what you expected? Is is worth or not? Would you do the same again or...
Can this sound control paint work as effectively if it is coated by another type of paint? Is it intended to deaden the sound from the paint side of the surface that gets coated ? Do these questions even make sense?
I’m still prepping the paint \ scuffing with scotchbrite and sanding as well - was wondering how u handled the anti rust coating Mercedes sprays on the very lower portions of the back ( kind of a waxy coating ) did u scuff it or just spray over? I can’t tell but are there little drain spots on the bottom of the walls that allow moisture out? And curious how you handled them? Keep it up, u have a beauty
Hey thanks for watching, I just scuffed as much as I could reach, not able to spray all the way down in the seams so bottom drain holes are left open to drain any moisture. I assume it is good for a little bit of venting as well.. Thanks again!
Has anyone used rattle can UNDERCOATING on the inside of van for noise reduction? I wonder if it has any insulation factor? Any response will be appreciated.
Fellow Canadian here, mix and matching ideas from different builds. This is definitely getting added to the roster
Nothing ever goes as planned! Nice attitude shift, great to see that the dares train isn't slowing down

Just got your channel, great content thanks for sharing.

Interesting. Seen lots of stick on SD vids but never a spray on product. I could hear the difference when you knocked on it.
What did you do about the factory sound dampening that is on the panels
Thank you for the great video. I am ready to order Lizard Skin. Any advantage to using black over the white???
Hey buddy. I'm new to your channel. This is awesome 👌
So what was the total cost to put that stuff on the entire van? Was it really worth the cost and the effort? Especially if you're on a budget?

What was the reason for not spraying the floor?
Unfortunately i ran out of product and it was quite expensive so I moved forward. Thanks for watching.
@@DaresDrives Do you find that the lizard skin keeps heat IN the van as well as OUT? It goes both ways?
Has anyone used rattle can UNDERCOATING on the inside of van for noise reduction?

Any response will be appreciated.
Polyurethane paints emit hazardous gasses, for years. Not recommended.
Paint it black
Arthur Quinn it is black?
@@DaresDrives I know
Arthur Quinn color was not a concern it is just how it comes.
