- Hello there people. This video is a little on the different side. For this video, we will be comparing The Way Of The Hunter by Nine Rocks Games - THQ Nordic and The Hunter: Call Of The Wild by #AvalancheStudios and #expansiveworlds

I play both and tbh, CoTW has better graphics and framerate, and Way of the Hunter feels more gritty and realistic with animal Ai, gun sounds. I just wish they'd update the graphics and fps on Way of the Hunter.
Hey on cotw when you shoot something and go to harvest it click down on right stick for console to inspect the animal and then push the shoot button down, r2 trigger and it will show the bullet, trajectory, and organs highlighted that where hit!

Woth makes me slow down and I actually enjoy the hunts better. Cotw got old quick because there’s always a ton of animals everywhere so it’s not as rewarding. I’m sure after some time woth will have a lot more content.
Plus I was walking towards a new area and a thunder storm came through n it was so immersive.
What is most rewarding is finding Diamonds, Great One, Rare Furs, Diamond with Rare Furs, Etc.
Dissect them and have your trophy pavilion with the Rarest Animals.

so far what i have seen, their both about hunting yet decently different games, although i have only played COTW
I hope they add in tents in woth you can set up and fast travel to. I loved that feature in COTW. And the hunting blinds.
callers work fine you just have to get the skill up on it to unlock the better perks at the start they are meh but after 10 kills with it you can call in bigger bucks and from farther away just takes some grinding i recommend hunting female moose they are easy to kill and call in and they are big so it's hard to miss them if they are hiding in a bush hope this helps cheers
I just picked up WOTH five days ago because bows will be in game next month or less I only bow hunt hunting games , I also play COTW and The Hunter game a lot . I only have 15 hours in WOTH What I have seen In game have amazed me. Animal behaviors are way better the way they move and forage and way they look and act way better around the map the way they act are really good dam near realistic and this game is only a year old or less. Only thing Call of the wild and the hunter games Is tru racks and great one skins keeps there game alive because tru racks sells this game and great ones and skins . If WOTH had some thing like that more new antlers styles or horns and skins , to be honest I would play WOTH a lot more than COTW I love the mountains they look like the Sierria mountains In California . This game Is young can't wait to see what they plan on doing in a year or two. I still would not count COTW out they could always build a new hunting game from the ground using a new graphics' engine, now animal behaviors look like crap in regard to deer like look like crap and move like crap in game, the new map is pretty nice ,I really enjoy it. I will support all three games . Ultimate Hunting I hope Is getting close to release at the end of the year It looks stunning . Another California map to hunt based In Cailfornia I can't wait graphics' are out of this world and animal behaviors maybe even better than WOTH time will tell.
You know it has a "trueracs" thing right? Think it's called thropy system or sum because most of the my whitetails are all different although same star rating and what not
@@slarnie5396 Is it like trueracs though? Or is it just a few different preset antler 3D models per trophy rating per species? Trueracs really randomizes the shape of the antler in a way that's kind of how nature does. Very natural looking and varied

I'll be fully honest, I do port towards The Hunter Call Of The Wild as apposed to the Way Of The Hunter. Both are good games mind.
Woth is an objectively better game, at least in terms of actual hunting, animal genetics, and animal behavior. It's the best game that's ever hit the market when looking for a realistic hunting simulation.
However... that's basically it. It simulates a hunt, waiting around and all. Once you get a trophy animal for a species, you're basically down, since where woth lacks is in content.
Comparing a single hunt to a single hunt, woth absolutely blows cotw out of that water. But cotw has SO many maps, weapons, gear items, etc. So even though the animal behavior and hunting simulation sucks in cotw, it has an absolute MASSIVE amount of content and items, and animal variation (racks, fur, etc). So it gives you ways to switch things up and reasons to keep hunting the same species.
Call of the wild to run and gun more like a FPS with deer but that’s just my opinion

Realism wise classic still beats those two anytime
Expansive Worlds knows how to optimize their game. Even their 'low setting' still looks so beautiful and it runs well on older PC.
I can't even get more than 30FPS(Lowest setting) on WOTH using my 2018 medium setup PC.

this game is overrated and stupid(the way of hunter),,,,,even on Hiker mode hunting sucks,,,,I shot a mule deer in the back of the head with a 300 win mag and it was just a flesh wound...let that sink in,,,,
