@@youeatshowieategg You can tell they had a great laugh doing this, how Vic kept a straight face is beyond me!!🤣🤣🤣 I still piss myself laughing when I watch Cox and Evans proposal for the Helicopter landing pad!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@shaunpenne1840 that sketch is pure genius. I laugh till I'm nearly sick watching that, it gets me every time. We just don't get comedians of that caliber anymore.
@@wayneharding6594 We don't my man, I miss those days! Everything is too PC and sanitised! I absolutely love Vic and Bob!! And just like you, they make me laugh till it hurts!!🤣🤣😊😊

Just realised this, after thinking it's pretty much spot on in recreating a conversation between the guy who owns Hastings Pier (Gulzar - played by Vic), Gulzar's minion (Played by Bob) and Amber Rudd.
We need more innovative councillors like these the country is going to rack and ruin because of so many run of the mill types in local govt. My vote is assured gentlemen - well done.
So lucky to have Vic and Bob be on telly in my adolescence. You fwat bastard, the Paul and Debbie twin bin and can I I just stop you there Coxy, you can bloody try mate are still etched in my brain
Thats a great sketch regarding councillors, fast forward a few yrs & check out the councillors sketch done in "Little britain" where councillors are trying to wriggle out of being caught in gay situations ( played by David Walliams) quite true of today's councillors/ M.P's.
Reeves and Mortimer - Councillors Cox & Evans - Fun Bins 1226pm 12.9.22 aye..................... proper chaps. i allus wanted a selection of shirts with unmatching cuffs and collar... coming home drunk from pubs one would find mz x or mr t sticking her or his foot in any old bin expecting a buffing. p.s my older brother is robson breaking everything.
After all these years, a shoe buff on Marine Way!
This sums up councillors so well
What took 'em so long?
Bob Mortimer almost starts laughing after the bin explodes!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Brilliantly well spotted! No way they could've done another take. You know they only had the budget for one explosion!

@@youeatshowieategg Mayor, d'you have any idea how much them explosives cost?!?!
"Nay man, it's Geoff Capes, the shot-putter!"
They should made a whole series about Cox and Evans
My all time favourite R&M sketch!
The production values for 1990s British comedy are absolutely wild.
Haha what does that even mean ha

IT'S GOT A SHOE BUFF!

Loads of local counsel leaders like that round here in Yorkshire !
"would you care to put a pound coin in the slot?"
"a pound??"
townsjim
that’s quite a lot for back in 94
So funny when Bob starts laughing🤣
So Funny - Reeves and Mortimer seem to really love filming in Hastings !
Ironically southern, and thanks I was wondering.
Classic sketch. This was filmed at St Leonard’s on Sea, East Sussex.
Just realised this, after thinking it's pretty much spot on in recreating a conversation between the guy who owns Hastings Pier (Gulzar - played by Vic), Gulzar's minion (Played by Bob) and Amber Rudd.
One of my favourite bits is how these bins look like they're coloured in with the one small pack of felt tips, that doesn't have a pink skin colour!
A pack of "the Simpsons" felt tips.
Ahhh Ray man, it's Geoff Capes the shot putter! Haha! They should install fun bins in dumps like Blackpool as it would be a huge improvement!
It looks like Gerry Adams!
RIP Geoff Capes. They should build this in his honour.
A fitting tribute.
A pound?! Fantastic!
The Paul! The Debbie! The Paul and Debbie twin bin!
We need more innovative councillors like these the country is going to rack and ruin because of so many run of the mill types in local govt. My vote is assured gentlemen - well done.
The first time I saw this I was crying laughing. Finally, a shoe buff!
first saw this about 15 years ago, and its still fuckin hillarious!
This was filmed in St Leonard's on sea.
Filmed in my hometown, Hastings.
2:30 Them both flinching when it explodes, Bob starting to laugh and then him calling Vic 'you fat bastard'. 🤣😂🤣

Classic Vic and Bob - excellent!
YA HAIR MAN YA HAIR!!
Opening a big yellow slipper 😂😂😂
I wish my local council had as much brain as these two lol
Councillor Evans has got a touch of Dave Hill, hasnt he?
Bridlington seafront now has "funbins"
2:25 --- Matt Lucas reciting "I'm Henry VIII, I Am", a music hall song from around 1910, revived in 1965 by Herman's Hermits.
The Paul and Debbie twin bin....
"Have you heard the new Groundhogs album?" Nice plug for TS McPhee.
IT´S A GORRA SHOE BUFF!
I know, I love that little final touch.
That bin looks more like Gerry Adams. Imagine that...
Accurate depictions of 70-80s council
Oh, there's still some like that.
Genius! A shoe buff on Marine way!

Hold up, thats Ant, the SAS guy!
"Come on Coxy, 'alf of that's mine."
"Nor!"
Pearly you fat bastard!
What did you call me? Right! Get here!
So lucky to have Vic and Bob be on telly in my adolescence.
You fwat bastard, the Paul and Debbie twin bin and can I I just stop you there Coxy, you can bloody try mate are still etched in my brain
love it
"Have you heard the new Groundhogs album?" haha
I used to think he was saying Grandads, and wondered if there was some novelty band of pensioners.
Accurate right down to the grey pvc slip ons 😝
Where's the helicopter trajectory clip? I can't find it any more :(
It'sa got a shoe buff!
I thought it was Gerry Adams lmao
It's got a shoe buff!
I did not know that Brian Potter lost the use of his legs in a terrible Fun Bin/shoe buff Geoff Capes accident. You live and learn.
What are those props! Were they especially made for this clip? Who's got them now?
every sketch from R&M could have been a series
Laughing like a nutter ..brilliant
Ahhh...the wonderful and bizarre world of Vic & Bob
keir Starmer appears after one minute folks !
Love how grey and gloomy the coast is. Proper grim mate.
Which epiosode of The Sweeney is this? 🇬🇧
Could be Brighton & Hove Council!

Brilliant.......coxy for PM
@caturn88 Unlucky you mean. And they still exist and they're still councillors.
ha ha; great outfits !
Coucillor Cox looks like Fred Trueman in the late 1970s / early 80's
Is that Matt Lucas playing the mayor
Anyone know the actual resort?
St. Leonard's-on-Sea, at the bottom of London Rd. Ironically now one of the hippest places in Britain.

A shoe buff on Marine way,

I really do wonder what drugs they were on
Pidda Powell.
Bet they were Labour councillors.
At least we'd get a celebrity shoe buff out of it. With the tories all the money goes to Boris's chums
