Thrown out of our lodgings due to Derek's rather erratic and excitable behaviour 🤣 Look at that, it's started to revolve!! .... Do you know, I've never seen anything more amusing. That really is a lot of fun ain't it? 🤣🤣🤣
It wasn’t a lot of fun really Derek was it and it was a bit brief. LOVE this, makes me cry with hysterics every time I watch it. Its the bit where the glass smashes that makes it
I remember Vic being in a few episodes of Coronation Street and him saying had always been a massive fan of the show. His character’s mannerisms here are a clear lift from a classic Corrie character called Mavis, who’s husband was called Derek and she would always talk to him a childish way.
@buttpipe7 Someone called Hank Mizell. It was a top 5 hit in the UK charts in 1976! No accounting for taste is there. Classic clip too. Isn't that fun?
You wouldn't get away with that today.. The woke crew would insist that the chimp is a gay. No straight chimp should be taking work away from the gay chimp. 🤣🤣🤣
I remember the first time seeing this as a kid - I couldn't breathe, I was laughing so much it made me genuinely worried.
Same! 😂😂
It's my 50th soon, I very much hope it's as fun as this 😁
These 2 have always been overrated
@fluggaenkoecchicebolsen Nah. Just have to not be a miserable git
Me too 🤣
I can't even say "one pound" now without instantly going to a derek voice
For me it’s “Is it Giro day?”
We can have a lot of fun with one pound!
@@ruthduarte5194 aha !
Same lol
Same in our house
Nothing comes near to British comedy. 👏
"put yer 50p in, we could be in for the treat of a lifetime". haha, the dialogue is just brilliant with Tom and derek.
This scetch left an indelible impression on my memory. Great to see it again- thanks for uploading
Half hilarious half heartbreaking
Love these scenes, hilariously funny and depressing, celebrating your fiftieth birthday with a pound to spend.
Must have watched this dozens of times, yet i'm still pissing meself laughing.Funny as fuck.
My kids grew up watching these two, they quotes lines from it every day

Vic & Bob are one of those comedy duos whose brilliance & genius will only be truly appreciated once they are gone.
You couldn’t be more wrong.
Nah, that's you. @@TheDGAF06
Nooooooo no no. I spent my childhood screaming because of them 😅
Bob's voice is amazing so rich.
James Field As rich as Christmas pudding

I wonder what makes it so cheeky?
Perhaps it uses course language at passers by...

Is it giro day?
BRILLIANT. Up to date music hall type humour and British too. If that does not make you laugh then go to the doctor...you are ill.
It was a lotta fun.
Was it filmed in Dymchurch? The place looks really familiar :-D

Well that certainly proved to be...... a lotta fun!
Priceless
You don't see old women wearing those rainhats anymore... Maybe its inventor took out an injunction against their sale.
Women are more interested in shaving off their eyebrows nowadays (then drawing them back again with a Sharpie pen)
