Thrown out of our lodgings due to Derek's rather erratic and excitable behaviour 🤣 Look at that, it's started to revolve!! .... Do you know, I've never seen anything more amusing. That really is a lot of fun ain't it? 🤣🤣🤣
It wasn’t a lot of fun really Derek was it and it was a bit brief. LOVE this, makes me cry with hysterics every time I watch it. Its the bit where the glass smashes that makes it
I remember Vic being in a few episodes of Coronation Street and him saying had always been a massive fan of the show. His character’s mannerisms here are a clear lift from a classic Corrie character called Mavis, who’s husband was called Derek and she would always talk to him a childish way.
@buttpipe7 Someone called Hank Mizell. It was a top 5 hit in the UK charts in 1976! No accounting for taste is there. Classic clip too. Isn't that fun?
I remember the first time seeing this as a kid - I couldn't breathe, I was laughing so much it made me genuinely worried.
Same! 😂😂
It's my 50th soon, I very much hope it's as fun as this 😁
Presumably you have to be northern to find it funny then
These 2 have always been overrated
@@fluggaenkoecchicebolsen Nah. Just have to not be a miserable git
I can't even say "one pound" now without instantly going to a derek voice

We can have a lot of fun with one pound!
@@ruthduarte5194 aha !
"put yer 50p in, we could be in for the treat of a lifetime". haha, the dialogue is just brilliant with Tom and derek.
Half hilarious half heartbreaking
Nothing comes near to British comedy. 👏
Love these scenes, hilariously funny and depressing, celebrating your fiftieth birthday with a pound to spend.
360 degrees which is a really fun amount of... degrees
Vic & Bob are one of those comedy duos whose brilliance & genius will only be truly appreciated once they are gone.
You couldn’t be more wrong.
