Great review Andy... I was just told about Artist guitars the other night. I was thinking of buying a JET guitar after watching their reviews... but now... well maybe both JET and Artist! Love your playing too, have subscribed and now watching your lessons.
Awesome review. Paulownia is a very light wood i think second only to balsa. Grows very fast too. I wish more builders would use it. Varies in quality i guess can sometimes be too soft. May cause issues for a strat style or lp style with the studs not holding in. I used Paulownia in a tele build and its great. My lightest guitar by far. The brad paisley signature fender has a paulownia body sandwiched between spruce.
Many thanks for your comment. Since making the video have have come across an issue with the guitar that I think relates to the lightness of the body. That is that the balance of the guitar is slightly wrong. It is slightly neck heavy and causes the neck to drop when using a strap. I love the guitar and have corrected the problem using tyre weights attached to the back of the guitar.
@@AndyDrudy Locking tuners are often responsible for neck dive. I found this out when I put LTs on a guitar that had no neck dive before. I've since become no fan of locking tuners as all they do is make string changes a few moments quicker. They do nothing for tuning stability as wood still moves with temp/humidity changes. Split shaft tuners are much better imho. Nice playing with the Artist. But I have to say, I don't get why people buy pre-damaged guitars 🤷♀
excellent review! was wondering about your thoughts on the thickness of the neck? possible even measurements on the depth if possible? I can be a bit picky on that kind of thing and am very much considering purchasing this but just cant find any specs online. thanks a lot!
Don't you find it disconcerting that all the AT53 relic models, no matter the colour - have the exact same relicing pattern? Obviously it's machine replicated, so you have nothing unique at all there. Neither is it t a 'natural wear' relic. The guitar sounds great and the hardware specs are excellent, but I'm sorry - that relic look is really bad. And what's with the pickguard bridge cutout being so far away from the bridge? Looks poorly cut...
Very pleasant to listen (and watch. of course), thanks for sharing!
Fantastic 👍
I hope I could get this in Canada
Very Cool, Thankyou. Stunning looking and sounding guitar and playing. Nice Work. Cheers
Many thanks for your kind words.
Sounds awesome Andy. I am waiting on the same guitar, but non relic version. Thanks for the demo
Beautiful version of Teardrop. Only came for the guitar, but got a nice thing too :)

Hi can you tell me is the fretboard really flat or have a reasonable arch. I know the measurements but I’m a chord guy is it ok for that

How is the 14inch radius? Too flat?
Wow, its beautiful. Ive got 3 artist guitars and i would not buy a fender again
Pls review the artist as72. I really want them to release them in the USA soon😤
Also the review, playing, ambience, and literally everything about this earned yourself a new subscriber. This is amazing!
👍🏻👍🏻
Great playing. What song is this? I recognise the melody but can't place it.
Many thanks. Its by a band called Massive Attack and is featured on an album called Mezzanine. For me that album is an almost religious encounter.
How are you not getting a copyright strike?
Well done.
There are lots of Massive Attack covers on UA-cam.

It's a very inexpensive guitar. Myself, I really love the finish. The colours are great and very cool.
don't like the locking tuners
