I don’t see how Martha, the Army Girl, can be labeled as “Untalented”. She has a great voice and has a nice personality, too! More talented than a lot of the people who get through. You can tell even Ryan thought she was good ♥️
MARTHA was a little shaky on her pitch, but she has a vibrant voice; you couldn’t really see a lot of range in that song, but she has a great personality and certainly she’s better than many people who made it through.
I think she just needed vocal training cuz some of what she sang was out of tune and I think it was thin sounding, but I think some inherent talent is there.
The Mr Koxi She had a sweet voice and great performer ....maybe not Spectacular or “American Idol” material but Disney or broadway shows I think she’d be SUPER, my opinion.

I took my daughter to an American Idol audition. What these show clips do not tell or show you is that you must audition for a tiny, 2 person group of judges. If they like you, you then go on to another group of judges and another group of judges before EVER even meeting the real judges. The problem I have with this is that for ALL of those people you see on TV in front of the judges that are so horrifically bad, they went through a minimum of three (3) other judging panels that told them that they were good enough to move on. THAT is BULLSHIT. Those people are made fun of on national TV for the whole point of making ratings for a show that set them up to look like idiots in the first place pretty lame. My daughter did not go all the way, but we watched HORRIBLE people get put through, and we KNEW it was because they were goofy or bad. Sad...
I feel your pain mate. I auditioned in here in South Africa. Myself and 3 others in the group of 10 were the best singers (1st panel), however the girl that couldn't be heard through those thin walls got put through. Only 1/10 contestants make it past the 1st panel :/
The army girl is perfect for cabaret. The Hawaiian girl really can sing. Lonnie Hightower can actually sing. He was great. And William Hung was saved for the most inspiring. He made me cry. Just too darn sweet of a fellow, and positive. ❤️❤️❤️
That's an opinion, not fact. There have been people who made it well into the competition you could maybe say weren't "relevant" for the market. Even some of the winners. It means something that maybe the only contestant or winner who has been maintained any relevance in the music industry is the first one, Kelly Clarkson.

Because when you’re just singing it you’re not putting your throw on it, when you come on shows like this people don’t understand they’re not looking for people who can copy songs or just sing.. they’re looking for artists, people that know their voice range. You can’t get mad at a judge for picking someone who makes the song their own rather then copying. They only have so many spots and you see how many ppl come to the show? Yes they were rude back then but when Simon left and went on got talent I never thought twice about what he said. They’re not looking for average, they’re looking for people who can connect their emotions to the audience, also someone who doesn’t need years of training ( which is reality to be a great singer you can’t just get there in 4 months some people are blessed of course but let’s be real it’s not many of us, many singers started singing at 3 years old and have had many classes in between their years to get them where they are today, like hours of practice every day for years..)

Yes, they could do that but then that might start a fight with someone who is good. The bad singers and good singers would be kicked out for fighting. That would loose their chances of auditioning. No one likes to be told they are no good. If family and friends been lying to them, telling them they are good when they are not, the bad singers won't believe the others telling them they are no good. They will think that the others are trying to make the competition smaller for the other person will win.
The army girl sang bugle boy quite well actually, and I liked Paula's song too! Wow! Had to come back to say I loved Lonnie's singing of America! I thought he sounded great and should of been sent through on that one!

I heard there were girls that were interested in him after he was on the show regardless of his inability to sing. I heard there were girls that were interested in him after he was on the show regardless of his inability to sing. I find it hard to believe the people who cannot sing well have not ever been told they are not good singers

Love the Hawaiin lady. Hawaiian's have musical souls. She does have it when she sings her own music. No1 can actually sing the Hawaiian melody unless have the ancients with em. She does have soul! Ppl would love her, esp for the fact the majority of contestants are laterally mental.

When I saw the title I thought it was gonna be another opportunity to shame people for audience views. I'm glad I watched it. It's good to see people with talent- but not enough talent for Idol - to have a chance to shine. At least, some of them :-/
