Penelope is such a sweetheart. Even after the judges ruined her audition by laughing hysterically before she could even get 3 words out, she was STILL willing to graciously accept any 'No' votes she got from them. She just kept smiling and laughing with them, even after waiting nervously for HOURS just to have 2 minutes with 3 people who have the power to change her life forever, only to have those 3 people make a big joke out of it. BUT, I think Louie and Sharon both realized they had screwed it up for her, plus she did have a great attitude about it all, so I'm glad they decided to put her through that year, I think she deserved it, too. :))
I honestly would not be able to keep from laughing if I was in her place, I wouldn't have thought it was rude to be honest, just hilarious

Penelope, without a doubt, had the best attitude and the sweetest disposition of any contestant I have seen. She took the judges in stride and managed to be pleasant to them even as they laughed at her. I hope her singing brings her happiness in the future. She's not hard to look at either!

The Spanish girl at the end was a really good sport and played along with it instead of getting annoyed, she seemed like she had a sweet and light-hearted personality, that's probably why they gave her another song. It is a good trait to have in life to be able to laugh at yourself.
