Nah, it was all staged. You have to make it through a series of auditions before making it to this level so she and her mom know they're there for entertainment.
She was pretty and nice, she shouldn't have been lumped together with some of the crazies on here

The judges were unnecessarily mean to those people. I get that they couldn't carry a tune in a bucket, but they didn't have to bully them. One day they won't have the money and security protecting them and they will have to answer for all of it.
my family and i wouldnt miss a single episode of american idol back in the day and i do not remember it being this brutal 😂 reality tv really didnt mind making fun of people back in the day, everything is so different now

I mean, you guys say it’s because the world is soft now, but I look at it as a safety precaution. You can’t tell me you don’t see potential murderers in some of these people, especially when they’re being laughed at like that. Some of them look like they’re right on the edge.

As bad as some of these auditions actually were, you gotta admit they weren’t just being judged by a few judges, they were straight up being bullied on TV
I notice that the judges ask the bad singers if they are good singers and never ask the great ones if they could win American Idol. They must get the screening reports before the audition.
