You need a bigger grinder. I grind my own as well. I use a Cabelas #42 which will do whole rabbits (skinned of course). Considering quail just for dogfood. How many quail for 8 lbs of grind? Those feathers plus bones might make them a little constipated. I notice with mine, if I don't add more meaty cuts, then he has trouble going. Mine is all animal though. 40# Chicken Leg qtrs, 8lb chicken livers, 4 bigger cans sardines or mackerel, 10 eggs shell and all, 2 skinned rabbits without stomach/poop side. Use the same containers you do and a meat Lug to mix (a kitchen rubber glove to mix it all). Good stuff!
I use a slice of bread to push through the leftovers in the grinder. Would you recommend this grinder for doing whole rabbits (on a budget)? Thanks for showing this specific grinder in use as I have been contemplating on getting it. The Weston butcher series #22 would be my dream grinder but just can not justify that big of a cost.
Thanks for sharing.

Does he get other veggies sometimes as well? The canines are the least carnivorous of the carnivores.

@@ClearwaterFinches Yah I like it, works great, a alternative is crushed ice if you have that easy available .
For some reason you remind me of vince vaughn....😂😂
What about fruits and veggies? Apple, banana, carrots, green beans ect.
But when do you grind your dogs for food for you?
How long have you had that grinder? Just Making sure it lasts.
