Years ago, I used to like reaction channels. Now I can't stand them because more often than not they don't credit the creators of the videos. You made great points S1ap!
Whole heartily agree about reaction channels. If you are actually adding information or discussing/critiquing the video, you're doing it right. And they absolutely need to tell people to actually watch the og video with links. It's also why I try to be cautious with tictoc, reels, or shorts since the vast majority is just people ripping off others content with no value added. And as futile as it is, I try to hit "do not recommend" if it's a blatant ripoff.
I find it interesting that you didn't know who XQC was, really shows how different areas of the gaming sphere can be. Crazy to think he was once part of OWL.
There's shitty reaction content, like xQc and others, and then there's really nice, thoughtful, constructive reaction channels like Vlogging Through History, who add their own knowledge and only react to video topics that they have at least some sort of knowledge or expertise in.
Kick is the wild west according to it's creators... I mean Adin Ross streamed the entire Super Bowl between the Eagles and Chiefs and the freaking Hub (and I'm not talking NASCAR Race Hub if you know what I mean)
Reaction content on UA-cam was cringe 10 years ago, it's cringe that Twitch streamers do it now. It's just feckless and lazy. I don't care how anyone tries to justify it to themself, it's just lame nonsense that spits in the face of Fair Use and the hard work of people who *ACTUALLY* make things.
Slap is putting more effort into his content by talking about random shit in his car than the entirity of xqc/pokimane watching youtube videos as they eat food
Maybe slap is just so good at making reactions to other peoples content. But it seems to me he just did an inform take on something while driving it can't be that hard right?
I absolutely love this form of car talking content. You are just able to phrase your stuff really well and convey information in an entertaining way!

Is one of those reaction creators Sniperwolf??? Can't stand her at all!

DarkViperAU has been calling out these “creators” for years, and has great explanations of why reaction “content” is bad for creators.

it's less effort than Ray William Johnson
Now that’s a name I have not heard in a long time.

You can't mention reaction streamers/channels without mentioning the Jacksfilms vs SSSniperwolf drama
Goin' hard by the end.... lol

There's an ethics to *casual* reacting because of the attention economy, and most reactors don't care. Those who do? They're real ones.

Mustang?
What car are you driving?
I think its a Hyundai Elentra Coupe
@@CanadianTreeFiddy: Frankly, I’m disappointed. I was expecting a Camaro, a Charger or a Mustang.
