Ishowspeed is only 4 years younger than me, but he seems to be a good representation of something I felt in high school. When I was a senior, I noticed myself finding a lot of the new freshman class (who would now be the same age as ishowspeed is) the cringiest bunch of people I've ever seen and couldn't relate to them in the slightest. And of course, they were somehow the popular kids among their class. And yeah you can say part of high school is upperclassmen hating the freshmen, but man I never had a problem relating to them and being able to buddy up with them up until that year. It really hit me like a truck and I was not expecting it. Seeing ishowspeed become popular online and him being a part of that same age group tracks in my mind.
Now Speed had the flesh chandelier fall off the ceiling due to a robot on the screen and he doesn't get banned, if S1ap did the same thing with Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing being the hottest team in NASCAR, S1ap would be nuked off this platform, UA-cam needs to fairly enforce it's policy
At this point, I'm waiting for somebody to go full Joaquin Phoenix Joker-mode and murder someone on a livestream for the views/infamy/"clout" and the channel broadcasting it to do eff all, while said murder somehow becomes EVEN MORE POPULAR than they were before it happens... Like, in this current entertainment climate I could see a modern-day Charles Manson make BANK and that thought both sickens & terrifies me.
