The problem with Phil Helmuth is he frequently gives away too much information as to the strength of his hand on the turn. Why would you labour over a call on the turn? Then make a clearly crying call, because you have another street of betting. He has done this sort of thing many times, he gives away his hand. You should only ever do this when it's on the river and the call is final and closing the hand. That said, Helmuth is often touted because his tantrums are funny to watch, however, he is a great player, and always loses with grace in the end.

Hellmuth is a great player no doubt but sometimes he has to realize he’s out classed and other pro’s are better. He’s better than 99% of players but the 1% of situations he has got himself into have cost him millions of dollars over the years.
He's a great short stacked player, awful deep stack cash player most $5/$10 would felt him. But Tourny with increasing blinds there's not many better than him, especially considering the longevity of his success
He played that AJo pretty much as bad as humanly possible. The fact that he's done well in tournaments is just a testament to how much of a joke the format and fields are. And he must have run exceedingly good overall.

Hasn't cost him shit. It makes him more fun to watch, drives TV deals, they stake him in tournaments, so he's always losing nothing, and winning half. He is genius for keeping people emotionally involved in the broadcasts.
(Yes, I know Helmuth has his OWN bankroll as well, just bringing up, its TV guys. You don't get cameras pointed at you unless you've made some kind of deal.)
