A lot of you guys love Fenty Beauty just as much as I do so I figured this review on the New Pro Filt’r Hydrating Foundation would be helpful to those with oily skin and are considering this foundation.

I wanted to like this foundation so bad but it was way too light and I got the exact shade as my matte one. Idk if it’s because the hydrating formula doesn’t oxidize? But I couldn’t do it, sadly I’ll be returning it 😩

I'm oily skin and I wore this foundation with black radiance mattifying primer in black tube and this foundation last 10 hours looking amazing didn't break up only blotted once

I've watched a lot of these videos from various people. I really enjoyed yours the most. The highlight part always looks weird to me because I don't really do that (just minimal makeup for me) but when you did it, it was absolutely perfect. I hope Fenty does see you!! You are awesome. I have combo skin so I'm def thinking about getting this foundation. Probably will get it lol

Yeeeessss!!!! New subscriber here and I’m so happy I found you because we’re a match as far as foundation/concealer/contour/bronzer. It makes it so much easier matching when you find a beauty influencer who’s your shade match!! Also, I am an oily girl who bought the Moisturizing Fenty Foundation and I like it a little more than the original believe it or not. However, I will admit that I’m mostly oily in the T-zone area and pretty normal around my perimeter. I use the original Fenty Primer in my T-zone and the Milk Hydro-grip Primer everywhere else, which makes my foundation last all day and keep my oil pretty under control. I think I blot maybe 2-3 times a day which I don’t mind and also use the Fenty blotting powder, which I absolutely 🖤.

Now I do agree on the orange undertone. 390 look orange on me! I just can’t get the exact shade unless I conceal with a more golden undertone to help balance out! But totally agree with the brightness to balance out the color!

This is how I feel buying this foundation in the summer time when my skin is oily. But come winter time I hope it will be perfect since I have dry skin in the winter.
I think it definitely stands a better chance on oily skin during the winter months.

That's the MAIN reason why I STILL don't own any Fenty foundation; What they call "warm" is what we call orange. And my undertone is ALREADY extra on its own (golden neutral)!
Some of the shades definitely have extremely warm undertones. I need something that’s like yellow golden. Less of the orange lol.
Omgg I thought I was the only one. The problem with undertones is that it’s a spectrum and we just fall somewhere between golden and neutral. Literally everything they tried on me looked was either too pink or yellow/orange 😫

I’m oily and 60 yrs old I like the soft matte but find that it also makes me dry I plan on trying the hydrating formula to see if I can add some radiance to avoid looking too flat thanks for your content it was helpful to see how the formula works for oily women

Yes. I totally understand. I, too, keep buying Fenty stuff I don't need. In fact, I buy makeup from all brands, that I don't need. My daughter says I need an Intervention, like I'm addicted. I keep telling her I don't have a problem. "I can stop any time I want to." That's my story and I'm sticking to it. I don't need to go to a MA (Makeup Anonymous) meeting, but I do need to go to Sephora before I go to Ulta. So there!

I used the Morphe “anything creamy” brush for concealer. For bronzer I used a real techniques blush brush

Ok so 385 is my shade in the matte. Now 385 in the hydrating is a lil light for like the first 10-15 min then it settles just fine. So maybe try a sample of 385 and compare. I can wear 390 also but it’s a lil orange. Tell you the truth I have yet to see anyone shade match to 390 🤷🏽♀️. I think that color might need to be reformulated to be just a hair less orange/red. But anyway thanks so much for the review and taking one for team oily gurl!!!
I agree. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone that matches well with 390 😩. I usually mix 385 and 390 in the original formula for my perfect shade.
@@briaunna4738 I've had issues with 390 as well. When I first bought the original 390 worked, but it eventually became too orange. I use 410 but I think that's a little too cool. I think 385 is perfect and lives up to it's neutral undertone (for me personally). I feel like the warm undertones tend to be too warm.
I felt the same way about 385 being too light but this foundation oxidizes to a nice shade so it ends up looking great

I'm combo and the og one was dry on me, this one actually works better 🤷🏻♀️ with setting powder ofc, but it lasts🙌 I've noticed mostly oily girls love this foundation oddly hahaha but hey our oily asses still need some hydration ok 😂

I really think you should try the 370 that you were matched it doesn’t necessarily mean lighter but the undertones are different. I struggled with 385 and 390 as well but was matched with 370 in the store so that’s my next color
It always looks orange a Little I’m 385 as well and I waited for the dry down. Soon as it dries down it’s almost like it the color begins to calm down . I think it looks good on you but 390 wooaaaaaah!!!! Yes it is orange cause I tried that too lol ... 385 looks good on ya girl . The monitors always throw me off so I usually go to a window after applying and the natural light doesn’t lie 🥰😬

It’s the same amount of product just different packaging. So I think the quality is the same for the products they just went with a more travel friendly packaging.

I'm very drawn to these products too. I wont buy this particular foundation because it has fungal acne trigger ingredients but I have alot of the other products and matte foundation.i just got the powder puff brush the other day.....oh myyyy it feels like heaven. It feels light as air, softer than cotton and get this.....I dont like or use makeup brushes. But I might/ will probably use that one, i guess
I think u should just try the 385 because it the color sets into your right complexion
I feel like it’s best to wear this foundation in the winter time due to the fact it’s hydrating. I have oily skin as well and this is just my logic lol. Imagine wearing a matte foundation in 5 degree weather 😬. I rather wear a hydration foundation with a matte primer beneath it, than to use a matte foundation on top of a matte primer. I need my skin to BREATH and look like it’s breathing around that time of year!
