Olive is its own undertone, it should have an own range in foundations generally, SO MANY people are olive. It's so common and ppl don't know. I'm light-pale and really fucking olive but most olive shades are medium.
Queen biscuit, can you do a review video on Pixi? I hear it's a dupe for glossier and I am interested in dipping my toes in this whole 'no make up- make up' look but like...I need something a little budget friendlier.
I figured that 345 would work for you too. I've been using the 345 since it launched and I love it. You and I are pretty similar with makeup stuff (and birthday twins from different decades), so thanks for the 345 concealer swatch. I'm just going to take that directly back to the store when my order comes in. I ordered the 345 and 350 concealer, b/c I have undereye wrinkles and I don't go very light under there. I find that 1 pump of the foundation for my whole face is enough for my everyday looks. I really like the powder with the Too Faced concealer. But I bought the banana shade.
Have you tried putting oil in your foundation? It may sound weird but if you put a couple drops of jojoba oil, or vitamin e oil in your matte foundations, it changes the entire finish.
Yes!! It also helps if you want a natural skin look to your foundation...like, it will have people wondering if your skin is just that perfect. The type of oil may differ for each person, but I feel like one can never fail with jojoba. I used a cameilla oil blend(Brooklyn botanicals). But squalene would work too. I learned the oil/foundation mix from Wayne Goss. It seriously gives you a natural glow! And my face is already oily, but it still works! *For those interested:* Usually the idea is, Dryer oils for more oiler skin. Richer oils for dryer skin. Thinner oils do tend to mix with the foundation the easiest though. I would mix them together as needed on a clean surface (I use an old plastic lid), and not add the oil to the entire foundation bottle. As Reina said, just a couple drops. You can always go back and add more.
@@kerrythomson4586 I haven't. I'm just getting back into foundation, and it's just my cushion on days I don't feel like concealing each dark spot. Please let us know if you ever try it though! 😊
I would say using less of the foundation definitely does the job. I have super dry skin and I find that I Ioooove it with just the right amount. I’m in the shade 390 ❤️. Can’t wait to get my concealer and powder in the mail!
It’s so strange seeing your natural hair but like???? IT SUITS U SO WELLLL I LOVE YOUR NATURAL TEXTURE AND HAIR. But also slay wigs bc them cute too on you.
You look flawless. I like 1/2 pump for daily use, to even my complexion and look like I’ve been sipping my water & minding my business, and 3 dots of the concealer each eye to look like I slept well.
Oooh girl, you should try the shade "Banana" in the Fenty powder! It's instantly become my new favourite under eye powder for brightening! Has more of a yellow undertone to it!
I have dry skin as well and what I found works best with me is I mix a little bit of the primer into the foundation (1/2 to 1 full pump) and it helps a lot with the foundation not clinging onto my dry patches! It also works great with Mac’s strobe cream mixed in if you don’t wanna get the Fenty primer
I honestly only trust your reviews now Kennie! I have the most dehydrated skin and I only realized that after I started watching your channel. Thank you so much 😊
OH MY GOD you literally described my struggle. I have literally your skin tone except maybe a shade lighter. I'm neutral too and I have the same problem with foundations being too yellow or red or gray. Everyone thinks I'm crazy when I say that I have a hint of a green undertone and need that in a foundation.
I got matched to 345 today and I am so excited to have it match me better. You are totally correct in your advise to let the foundation sit and dry down fully to see the undertone come through.
THANK YOU! I’ve had these same life long foundation woes that disappeared when I switched to Fenty 345 foundation. I’ve been looking at the concealers but have been scared off by the mustard color of 345. I searched high & low for reviews comparing the results of 345 and 330 concealers on a person who wears 345 foundation.
okay this video is going to be the deciding factor on whether or not I get this concealer... I've been debating on it since the announcement bc I'm cheap as shit but if this product can't look good on Kennie's perfect face then it's certainly going to look like AAAASSSSSSSSS on me
Hey Kennie, I have super dry skin as well and I own this foundation. It is amazing with primer oil, if you either use the oil as primer or mix it into the foundation it looks really good, and yes with this foundation less is more.😊
I find drying foundations can work beautifully for dry skinned people if you use an oil primer (like nyx, smashbox or hourglass). Sadly I can’t buy nyx oil primer in Australia, I’m allergic to the smashbox, so I have to buy the super bougey hourglass primer. It’s so so gorgeous and feels beautiful on.
Try Bobbi Brown (cool golden 6.25). My undertones are olive too and i have the same problem finding a good match. Bobbi Brown seems to get it right and their skin finish foundation has the natural, "lived-in" look you prefer.
I'm so glad I came across this video! I think we're the same shade so I'll try out 345. I bought like 4 of the original shades and tried so hard to get them to work for me since I loved how they looked on my skin. I have oily skin so the matte finish works really well for me. I've never had such a hard time finding a foundation shade and started to feel like I was doing something wrong lol. Eventually I gave up when I found out that other women around my shade were having the same issue. I heard about the new shades but assumed that I still wouldn't be able to find a match.
Agreed, Fenty really needs to release a dry skin friendly foundation because the pro filtr isnt it, which is stressful because its the only foundation ive found with a pale enough shade for me but i cant really wear it without it clingingg
The Fenty foundation is the first foundation I’ve ever owned and I really like it and it fits my skin perfectly! I still don’t wear it everyday because I’m not like that and I don’t really know how to do makeup
345 is def your shade. 330 + 310 is def your highlight concealors and Honey Setting Powder all over is proper. Nutmeg is the SP shade below Honey which I have and its good but I prefer the brightening aspect of the Honey SP. The Nutmeg (which is the shade that matches my foundation) is good to keep my foundation color which is 360 popping but I feel like it's a bit too light. I'm still trying to work it out though. Try Nutmeg and let us know.
You should try CYO Lifeproof in 113. We're about the same skin tone (deep tan with yellow olive undertones) and this is a perfect match. It also has a dewy finish and best part is it's only $7.
Omg!youre my SKIN SISTER in makeup! From the colors and the EXACT product you buy,and skin type....ok,I’m the EXACT same then. I found myself having problems with the concealer creasing SOOOO hard under my eyes, and the longer it sits it seems to lift the foundation underneath ; ; I hear the better investment is in the setting powder. If people have similar issue like me, apparently setting it right away helps, but as an oily/combo person, setting powders can still crack out my base so I don't like doing it.
I have the same problem with shade matching in foundations. Too yellow, too orange (in my case), too ashy. I’m a lighter skinned Mexican, but I’m not Snow White and I’m not tan. It’s hard out there man!
The Fenty Makeup artist Priscilla Ono mentions in their tutorials that those with dry skin can add a drop or two of facial oil to the foundation before applying it to your skin so that it won’t be so dry. Try that and see if it makes a difference
There's a trick i saw on one of Fenty's new promo tutorials with Bretman Rock where the make-up artist mixes the primer with the foundation prior to applying, so I wonder how well that helps with the dryness. Idk just a tip to try. I don't have her foundation though and I'm scared to cause of the dryness aspect and I'm not the biggest fan of matte finishes.
Ahh I wasn’t going mad!!! 345 concealer is no match for the 345 foundation; I don’t know who they were trying to kid. I ended up with 370 concealer (because I don’t like a visible highlight) and 345 foundation but the concealer you used looks nice so I might give it a try. Great review! Subscribed👍🏾
Thank you for the video!! I also have dry skin and I think I might have to use some facial oil with the concealer. I also loves the NARS creamy radiant concealer
I’ve seen people mix the foundation with face oils to make it less matte or for a lighter coverage so I tried it with the Klairs Vitamin C Drops and it gives a nice dewy finish. @KennieJD
I couldn’t find a shade in the foundation & I’m so sad about it. When it expanded...STILL NOT RIGHT CAUSE I HAVE YELLOW UNDERTONES. BUT I still prefer my MAC Studio Fix. I am also in love with the highlighter. Haven’t gotten the primer nor concealer. We’ll see🤷🏾♀️

She didn't say what is up home skillet biscuit and I'm inexplicably sad. Also I hate the Fenty foundation, the only way I've gotten it to work on my skin is to mix it with a rich moisturizer or else it does not work for me.... at all. That being said, it still stays very matt for a very long time even with the moisturizer.
I love your hair so pretty, I was hoping you would try this bc I really want the concealer not so much the foundation more of a natural Finnish Typa gal , what cc /bb or natural Finnish foundations would you recommend that are on the cheaper side help a gal out xx
I saw Rihanna's make up artist put oil in the foundation to make it dewy. Which I'm going to try. Plus my foundation color is a dark on me. I need to get another shade.

Natasa Ma they have really good lip products. I've been buying from them for awhile and their eye shadows are good.

Yikes
Quila Pixi isn’t the best for sensitive skin so be careful.
eh pixi really isn’t that much of a dupe for glossier. it’s much more irritating
Pixi is pretty expensive, I don’t even think it should be in target and I don’t think it’s that great of a brand lol
I think Pixi came before Glossier but I think their skincare gets better reviews than the makeup ✨
