Loving your story telling. So good! I feel all the influencer hype is so over the top. Always people saying how they get so many questions and strangers asking about their fragrances. Honestly, when someone is spraying 10+ sprays of a niche fragrance with potent sillage, people are probably asking to find out what is giving them a migraine.

Baccarat 540 makes me feel depressed when I wear it. I returned it back to Saks because I’m not spending over $300 to smell like a band aid

Get gentle fluidity gold. It’s beautiful, sexy, classy but not doing too much. Has great longevity. It should honestly be a staple in every collection

I love 10 of the 15 perfumes you mentioned 😂. Niche fragrances are so complex that I always have to test multiple times to ensure I love it. Many have surprised me, some just didn’t work, but personally I buy perfumes for how they make me feel. Compliments are a bonus but I love the experience.
I simply love Erba Pura !!! I have 4 backup bottles !!! And it was a blind buy !! Smells just like passion fruit to me. Simply delicious !!!!

I really liked Cassiopeia when I sampled it on a test strip but I want to try it on skin. It smelled creamier and softer. I also randomly tried orientica royal amber and it smelled like erba pura but less harsh
The people that hype the fragrances really love them. Just because you don't like them doesn't make them wrong BUT your hatred to the recommended scent doesn't make you wrong either! That is what makes the world go round! Just don't buy full bottles because of watching a YT or TikTok....By samples from here on out and decide scent profile YOU like. How boring the world would be if everyone like the same things... Piece out! And I just subscribed ! :)
I think with Erba Pura, it may be a skin chemistry thing. Erba Pura on my skin smells nice. But I do agree some fragrances are overhyped. That’s how I feel about Bleu De Chanel. For BR540, I agree. A similar fragrance to it is Mancera Instant Crush. I’d recommend MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver. I’d recommend getting the MFK trial set from Twisted lily. You get to try some of the popular scents from the house.

Tom Ford Soliel Blanc is terrible but all the gworls are “obsessed” by it. Soliel Blanc smells like any Michael Kors perfume you’d find a ‘rack’ store. The UA-cam reviewers said it smells like a rich woman on a yacht - its a generic orange blossom and boring I don’t get the hype.

for me, go with gentle fluidity gold! it's more versatile + it's a great gateway to niche fragrances, since some niche scents tend to be more experimental :D i love FGF and everyone who smells it just loves it sm!! grand soir i reallly like, but it kinda chooses an occasion, like a formal night out or a black tie event
La Capitale definitely grew on me to being one of my favourite. Try and think about what you actually need in your collection to choose between GFG and GS from MFK.
Hi!! I love BDK fragrances (Creme de Cuir and Pas Ce Soir are my faves) but Velvet Tonka didn't have the best longevity on me. I personally prefer Grand Soir over Gentle Fluidity Gold but I like unisex scents that lean slightly masculine. Lastly, I promise I love Musk Therapy for the scent and not the hype lol.
It was interesting watching this video. All fragrances you mentioned are some of my favorites and I get a LOT of compliments when I wear them, especially regarding Erba Pura, Delina and Gris Charnel. So it has definitely something to do with skin chemistry. I have tried Libre and can’t wear it, it clashes with my skin chemistry but on my best friend it’s just amazing.
The most important opinion of a perfume is your opinion. I learnt this lesson when i tried xerjoff's starlight and kilian's angel's share -- i was like ??? Why do people like this. But everyone likes different things. I would suggest getting a sample decant (2ml first), trying the perfume at home, out and about and on different days, and when you finish that, get a large decant maybe 5ml. And when you finish the large decant and find you cant stop thinking about it, that may be a sign you will end up finishing the bottle. Or you might get sick of the perfume or forget it before you get to that stage, which is a sign you maybe shouldn't get it. Lastly, never blind buy, there is no perfume which is safe to blind buy. I accumulated 5 perfumes that i never used from blind buying :) never again. Also i dislike br540, its hard for me to smell it and when i do, i find it unpleasant. I tried gris charnel but it was forgettable. I didnt like a single mfk though i tried the lot. I did end up liking quite a few guerlains and a few chanels. Decant shops and sample/discovery sets are your best friend. All the best

Someone that finally speaks their mind on UA-cam! The perfumes you mentioned I also dont enjoy much🙊 (I was starting to think that something was wrong with me)..What's your take on Initio side effect? Also, if you love a spicy cherry, here's my secret... Try: Bodacious by Bodicea the Victorious (one of my top fav scents).. you will not regret it! Tom ford lost cherry who? My only concern with these cherry perfumes are the longevity ( I need to over spray every perfume I own- nothing sticks to me other than spicy scents). But I'll tell you what, I bought into the hype and bought Initio musk therapy and it took me a minute to like it/tolerate it. That one brings in the complements! Also, Mizenser for your love (this one is by far the biggest compliment getter for me and I'm not 100% on board with it 😂). I never want to wear perfumes just for me when it comes to work because I just don't want to offend anyone.. and if they like it then I'm happy to tolerate it. I'd rather smell inoffensive in closed spaces, and just wear my faves at home or when I go to the shops 😁
Girl. I’m in Cannes and we just went to a perfume store and I smelled Erba Pura and fell in love. Was going to buy it, but my fiancé and I had to run to a meeting so I kept the tester paper with me. As I’m looking at what other people have to say i came across your video and I’m now smelling the tester strip thinking of Lysol and sourness lmao, thanks for saving me the regret 😅
😂 well now you know. Most are not perfume connoisseurs, unless they went to school for it or have garnered that experience. It’s very personal and the only way to figure it out is by taking your time, putting your foot in it, exploring outside your box, sampling, realizing time and place for a perfume and that everything doesn’t need to be oversprayed. Also learning what you love, what you hate, and why. Even then, everything I mentioned is still subjective because everyone doesn’t have your skin or nose. The people who talk about perfumes are either people who have a collection and just enjoy talking about it or those taking advantage of the trends for business. They’re not experts lol

Grl same! 😂😂 got a sample of Erba pura didn’t spray much went to the grocery store and some lady was sniffing a guy next to me saying “smells like a dense man’s cologne that is not good” and then my daughter pretty much said the same smh literally no good compliments 😂 And as far as Delina omg wore it around the bf and he said what smells like baby powder and potpourri oh no seriously learned not to go with overly hyped fragrances and never to blind buy! Still looking for a niche fragrance that I actually love and that is worth the $$ loved ur honest review and just subscribed!! Finally someone on yt who is putting out authentic reviews and that I can relate to!

Most times it’s the perfumes mixed with one’s natural body chemistry that throws the scent off. That’s why some perfumes works for some and not for others.
Lol best video ever. I needed to hear this before I go broke blind buying these! For BR540 I only love the extrait in the red bottle. It’s much more addictive and less alcohol smelling than the regular EDP version.

I normally love rose but delina just smells sour. I smelled it with my friends and we all thought the same, i kind of feel that everyone is influenced by the hype.
Grid Charnel . I didn’t like it immediately but… when I wore it to bed and woke up, it was awesome!!! It reminds me if a better le labo 33!!
I prefer Delina Exclusif but Delina La Rosee is AMAZING!!!

I purchased 5ml Decant of both Erba Pura and Erba Gold. I like both but Pura lasted longer on my skin than Gold. Body chemistry plays a very important part on how a fragrance might compliment your own body scent. Gris Charnel Extrait is really nice.
I just purchased xerjoff erba pura. It goes on fruity and then dries down to smell just like V Canto Stricnina - which i dislike. it's going back. I actually like MFK Grand Soir. it's very strong and ONE spray is enough. DO NOT over do it. It reminds me of cream soda.
I heard gentle fluidity gold is a good one....I haven't smelled it personally though. I always tell people about Angel's Share by Kilian because I'm obsessed lol

I'm just at the beginning of your video but I have to say I have never liked Erba Pura - I don't understand they hype whatsoever. Love Don't Be Shy I liked it a lot initially I was like, Ok I get it, but for some reason I never did enjoy wearing it and eventually I let it go.

I sold my BR540, Italica, and La Capitale. BR540 took days to fade, and I'd get sick of the scent. Italica was sickening sweet and strangely milky. La Capitale was ok but didn't wow me. Delina...someone told me I smelled like bleach, and I haven't been able to enjoy it since🤣🤣🤣

Sounds like you’re not a gourmand lover. Most of the fragrances you mentioned are gourmand leaning. It also may be because your nose needs to mature. Fragrances I liked when I first started collecting are different from what I like now. They are much more complex. It’s definitely a journey. Try some of these again in a year.
Very true..I blind bought Kay Ali sweet pink pepper when I was around 22 and hated it! Now at almost 25 I love it! The saffron works really well with my body chemistry. It’s an intoxicating scent forsure
Yeah if u dont like musk type scents.... (reference for what musk is: think of the old school white musk from body fantasys) then most likely u arent gonna like something that has the word MUSK in the title...😂i absolutely love musks!! It smells so nice and clean! Especially musk scents NOWADAYS that are much more elevated than the blueprint "white musk" .....the musks nowadays still smell nice and clean but some are more of a warm musk and some are less warm musks ...but i have always loved them!!! Also dont confuse the word MUSKY with MUSTY 😊

Yes if you like La Capitale --- please try BYRON Mula Mula. And then also try BYRON Mula Mula Double Caramel. They're both fantastic.
I have La Capitale but I hate Erba Pura! La Capitale is strictly a date night scent. That leather note takes a while to get used to, and you do get a little bit of that Xerjoff DNA similar to Erba Pura but I think you should get La Capitale!
Velvet Tonka is an obsession for me. It can be oversprayed though so be careful on the sprays
It’s so funny that I discovered your channel on this video. Although I’m not really into makeup, I do enjoy skincare/body care but fragrances are my passion. Anyway, considering you’re new to niche, Xerjoff could be a tough brand to begin your niche journey with. This is one of my favorite brands next to Tiziana Terenzi. You chose some of my absolute favorites but it could be your skin chemistry that Erba Pura does not mix well with because on my skin I always receive compliments whenever I wear that, Accento Overdose, Ouverture, More Than Words, Ivory Route, Bouquet Ideale and I could go on and on. But here are some recommendations for you to try and get your nose on and if you can’t find them in store to sample, I would be happy to send you samples to try. (I’m a niche girl to my core but I do have a few designer fragrances). Note Vanille, Ylang In Gold and Passion by M. BDK pas se coir-sugar incense&slutty, Parfums de marly Delina exclusif - oud older lady, Parfums de marly Valaya- harsh cleaner..literally all I got. Ylang in gold nectar - banana vanilla with some cleaner.
I did like Delina La rosée! One win 😂 it’s like a fresh creamy vanilla rose-rose not overpowering at all, very fresh
I have Erba Pura and i like it alot. I don’t wear perfume for others. If i like it then I’ll wear it. Delina is okey. I only got the bodylotion, still on the fence about the perfume. BUt Exclusif is my girl. Cassili is a great one too.
Now Cassili is nice! It wasn’t love at first sniff so idk if I’d actually add that to my collection. Might have to try it a few more times in Spring.
@@briaunna4738If you want a clone for Erba Pura try Amber Oud Gold Edition by Al Haramain. There is also a flanker (which is the one I ordered, as Erba Pura is a fragrance I would rather smell on a Woman) AOGE “Extreme” edition which has added notes of Cedarwood and Myrrh giving a more Woody vibe
Guerlain “Santal Royal” is also a nice Rose/Oud/Peach fragrance which smells very exquisite. You can also find a clone by Lattafa called “Maahir” (make sure you buy the gold bottle;)

Erba pura is a BEAUTIFUL scent. It’s not for niche newbies though. Can’t overspray, has to work with your body chemistry and be worn in the right situation. Delina is beautiful too and musk therapy. lol just stick to the designers sis😂

You're not wrong at all. Af first Italica made me feel crazy because I love gourmands but there was something not right about it... but then like the 5th time I tested it on skin - it grew on me and I started craving it. Still dunno if I need a bottle of the OG. I got the Genre dupe that cuts out the part that made me not like the OG at first.
Most of the fragrances on the market are overrated and the fragrance does not last - total waste of money. Do not allow influencers to hype you up into buying these fragrances.

I’ve recently discovered that anything with a rhubarb note smells awful to me. The reason is I grew up in Puerto Rico, and there were mango trees all around my house and neighbor’s house. So many mangoes everywhere! We couldn’t eat them all, not even with the iguanas helping. They would ripen then drop to the ground and begin to rot, and the sour sickly smell of rotting mangoes smells exactly like rhubarb note in perfumes!! 🤮

I have to agree with most of your "hates" except for BR540. As for Xerjoff, I really tried to love the brand, but I can't stand that house. Everything to me screeches loudly, and Italica and La Capitale are way too sickening sweet and synthetic for me. Lira is mildly tolerable. I have a sample of Gris Charnel coming my way--I also didn't like it at first sniff and thought I'd try it properly before I pass my final judgment. As for MFK, Grand Soir is a heavier, more night-time scent, whereas Gentle Fluidity is more daytime appropriate to me.

Instead of Xerjoff La Capitale get Mizenser For your Love. It has raspberry instead of that synthetic strawberry smell. Vanille Antique from Byredo. Silky woods is a good vanilla w/ smoke.

Italica wasn’t that impressive to me until I realized that it stayed on my skin for 19 hours. I’ll only buy a 10ml sample and wear it for holiday parties around Christmas bc that’s the only appropriate way to wear it imo

The problem in the perfume industry, niche or designer, there are too many releases and lots of perfumes lack quality, aren't good. So you're nose is correct.
Gentle fluidity gold is weak asf and definitely not worth the coins. But grand soir is beast mode. If u truly want the best value for your money I recommend Grand soir 100%
Instead of buying gentle fluidity get Intense cafe or mancera roses vanille, both are 💯 identical to gentle fluidity gold, with better performance and are much cheaper. Choose either of those two instead of gentle fluidity gold 👎
I’ve seen people comparing gentle fluidity to intense cafe. I need to test it in store to see how I like it because I prefer scents that have better projection.

Have you tried the brand Mind Games? I really like J’doube and Blackade. Their new soulmate collection is coming out, I smelled the discovery set last week in Neiman Marcus, really really like Sans Voir and French defense, Lionora is very beautiful too. Try them out :)

My issue with niche houses is that they are so expensive, but really don’t deliver appeal as much as my money says they should.
This is why I’m a big fan of buying lots of samples and tiny decants. So I can try it on my skin without the financial commitment.
Thats exactly how I would describe LDBS and that’s not Rih’s signature scent I wish ppl would stop putting that on my girl. Killian said it himself she has worn but not on its own and it’s not her signature
