1. The hip extension: foot to head there is a straight line, transferring all the power you have to the direction you running. 2. The negative step: kneel is going up but the foot is going back, you must have a strong feet and push the body into the stretch position. 3. the foot position: only on the front part of your foot, don´t run in your heels. Front foot, front foot... 4. Stance: focus also in your starting position. 5. Arms don´t have to fly too much, your upper body don´t have to twist too much. Drill #1: Speed top. Like with everything, repetition is the key. Drill #2: Hopping/bouncing: work on both sides. Drill #3: Jump combination: work on control.
The main muscles for hip extension are your glutes and upper hamstrings, so it seems that running with speed and good acceleration is really down to those muscles instead of the quads (which usually get emphasized. I know, its counterintuitive). Obviously quads aren't useless because you need them to change direction, slow down, etc., but for speeding up I think its the hamstrings and glutes.
These videos are all amazing, allowing us to gain professional insight and coaching that would otherwise be inaccessible. Wish I had discovered them 10 years earlier!

Damn, this opened my eyes to the importance of education in football. I thought players just developed these things instinctively but now I can see how much difference education can make
Thank you so much for the insights. I had come across videos talking of the negative step and hip extension but never understood the principles until now. Thank you!!!!
Having played football for 20 years, and coached for 20years, I am constantly in awe of how little experienced coaches are when it comes to teaching speed increase after 5-10 meters. Mbappé is not particularly quick, smaller athletes with lower hips and shorter legs, can be speedier, but he gets very fast after the opening 5-10 meters. Gerd Muller started out extremely fast, but he never really picked up speed after that. After 10 meters, Mbappé accelerates incredibly quickly for two reasons. His Psoas, the inner abdominal muscles that raise the legs, are incredibly strong. He can produce a swing to project his leg quickly forward when he runs into the next gear, which causes his leg to bend and close and his foot in the back to be directed upward. Most players leave their foot's sole facing rearward, which compels them to pull their upper leg while the foot's forces continue to draw them backward. This creates the terrible feeling that something is holding you. Why don't football players, like other fast runners in athletics, lift and close their legs backwards? Considering that they frequently have the ball in their feet or anticipate the reception, their attempt to control the ball conflicts with lifting the bottom of their foot back at their bud in a horizontal manner. Combining ball control with one foot without pulling the other foot behind is the most important technique for speed dribbling, which is different from speed running without the ball. Only Mbappé and Bellingham can really master this technique.
Among all the things he tried to make this video humorous and easier to learn, unfortunately the most funny part was when he jumped to the side like a ballerina (min 7:20) unintentionally 😂😂😂
We can't find one resource to out it all together. Speed, jump, weights, technical and tactical training in an organized scheduler with performance tracking. Just need to fins a way to structure each week.

Ways to increase speed: 1. Eat lots of pear and drink acid drinks. 2. Get a lighter or a match. 3. Wait till the drink and the pear is digested (which is about 30 mins 🤔.) 4. Wear a clothing that allows air to pass through freely then go outside in your front yard and bring you match or lighter. 5. Wait outside until you feel a lump of compressed air slowly descending from your belly. 6. Go on you mark, get set. 7. For lucky number ✨7✨ strike the match or you lighter and place it about 1½ inch from your exit and as you take off I want you to blast that compressed air to Valhalla. Keep running and never look back 🏃♂️💨

I don't get it, shouldn't I be a bit bent forward when I sprint? Sprinting whilst being straight seems to be slowing me down... Or is it to accelerate whilst being bent forward, and then once I reach a constant speed I run in a straight upwards position?
accelerate while bending, normally dont bend since for me it leads to usually a failed skill move, loss of quick cuts which can create a goal scoring chance and sometimes slowing down becomes issue, sometimes even a small push for example a shoulder can cause you to fall and probably get an injury

you’re forgetting the hip flexors
It is literally the glutes. Every pro athlete is glute dominant.
So I should train to get bigger hamstrings
