I read somewhere that the reason some overseas dishes are in odd numbers is because people of that particular manufacturers region feel even number sets are bad luck. So maybe some of the plates, mugs, etc that you find in an odd number of pieces aren't truly missing a piece.
Yes. Asian countries, especially Japan. Such as a tea set with 5 cups. If it has an even number of cups, it was made for the US market.

My mom had those lamps when I was a child. They had lined silk shades in a cream colour with a gold braid. I loved those lamps and remember them clearly.
Had those in my bedroom as a child They had silk clip on shades somewhat like the small ones you picked up. They had gold clip on the bulb shades

Game Console detachable Power Cords: In our Goodwill power cords for electronics often end up in a separate area from the electronic units. So when i find a unit I plan to take I swing over to the "power cord area" and check, often they are there loose.

Those glass shades you are looking at are actually for ceiling fan lights - I never thought about putting them on a real table lamp...interesting...

My mother was from the mountains of East Tennessee. She loved Quimper pottery. She even learned the correct pronunciation. 😊 That was before internet so I have no idea how she learned the correct pronunciation. 😁

I have a set of old lamps from my Mom's bedroom that are 1930's ish era and the lamp shades originally were silk with the wire that clipped onto the bulb, like the ones you didn't buy. Similar to those.

Make sure you Google the markings for Quimper, there are 2 kinds, one is by the company and one is just pottery made in the town of Quimper France. Very different.

Hi Karen...All the dishes you're looking at, especially the dinner plates, remind me of when I used to look at dishes to resell, but rarely do anymore. So many beautiful dishes, but of course, the shipping is crazy and then if they're in the booth, they just sit for the longest time. I do think salad/bread/dessert size plates, in even numbered sets, especially from high-end and popular brands, like Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Anthropologie, Crate & Barrel and the like, will sell pretty well, whether vintage or not. p.s. I just sold an Anthropologie platter on Ebay for $75 plus shipping (got it for like $6) I did the double boxing thing & all, but don't mind for good profit.)

I loved those two stonewear plates that you left behind! Some people hang them on the wall as art or use them on their counters to corral objects, so picking up just two for your booth may not be a bad thing when they’re that good! 😊

On the boudoir lamps, you need to be sure that the shade has a collar that will fit down inside a rim near the bottom of the bulb if you are using a glass shade with the large opening at the top. I think you can put a regular shade on them that clips onto the bulb.

Brown is my favorite color as well. Growing up i loved pastels especially aqua, but somehow now it's Brown 😂
My husband doesn't mind paying $9.99 for a nice clean gently used golf shirts for himself. A lot cheaper than new, and you know how it is in summer, there are so many ways to get marks, spills on clothing being outdoors a lot, it is nice to have extras in the wardrobe.

I'm so glad you got that Quimper pottery. My mom loved Quimper pottery and my dad bought her a small selection of Quimper pottery 30 years or more ago. Some of the things we collected 30 and and 40 years ago is less valuable today.😢
Up here at Goodwill in Calgary, they like to pull all the good stuff off racks and shelves for the colour tag of the week, and leave the junk to sell .

32:11 I think you should have gotten the pink lava lamp. They sell really well! I have one from the 90's that needs new liquid that I'm going to attempt to replace to sell. I bought it for my daughter in 1998 when she was 5 years old.

Hi Karen, I have the small gold baskets. I bought them at pottery barn or crate and barrel 15 years ago. They were with the Christmas table setting. I put small gifts in them as part of my Christmas and Easter table scape.

Gorgeous GORGEOUS finds today. I'm especially in love with the crystal boudoir lamps (swoon!). At 30:00, when you are looking at the chandelier shades, were those red cut to clear boudoir lamps in the back left corner??? I also have a soft spot for bunny figurines. Thanks for a wonderful shopping trip. (Those carts are waaay to short and small for Roger! He has to stoop to push it! And , while I might not have bought the fart machine, I sure would have played with it a bit. 😂)

Let me just tell you- if you put off doing a wallpaper job (like we have- cough, cough) and then when you do go to do it- and you make a mistake and go to order more and find out they don’t sell it anymore- there’s no amount you wouldn’t pay not to have to remove all the wall paper you already put up and start over!! So I wouldn’t exactly worry about it being brand new so much as just being that person who will be there to save someone who’s going to need that one or two rolls.
Karen I inherited the glass lamps from my grandmother. They came with etched glass shades that were not heavy looking, not those white frosted shades. Actually smaller white silky drum shades look nice and give them a modern flair.

I had the chateau set when I was younger many years ago.
I swear our Goodwill's in Portland go through the night before and remove all the next days colored tags because you can't find anything in that color to save you. Also the women's clothing is anywhere from 6.99 to 14.99 or even 19.99 per article. It's outrageous!
Awe, I had one of those baby dishes when my son was young.
Just my opinion but I think the crystal lamps would look great with just an Edison Bulb, no shade. You could really see the lamp and it's sparkle. Or it would look awful, I don't know. Also, I think the yellow cheese cover is actually the lid to what must have been a very large and beautiful Ginger Jar. I love the yellow, my favorite color by the by. Fun video!🎉❤

It is a French name, my brother is called Thibault it is the same name and we say Tee-Bo ☺️ it is also a family name, the founder was of french descendant and they do gorgeous wallpapers 🩵
I think I watched a video of yours a year ago! But hadnt subscribed! Not anything in that thrift Ive seen here all my life! But ill admit im not brand savy! Plus since ive sewn upcylce over 60 years im lokking fir anything i can remake. Im jn southern Calif. I now sell a bit at small farmers market! Mostly jean bags as all in my small retirement town asked where I got them! Seeing your finds makes me want to travel to tge east side of country!
The shell is called a “Tulip shell” and can be found on Sanibel Island Florida . That’s a large adult size shell.
