Thanks a million. I just bought a 275 watt ZW-R and it came with a new cord that needed to be attached. When I opened it up I noticed that one roller needs replacing. I searched for replacing ZW rollers, and nothing came up. Your video was the first thumbnail on the right side and I'm glad I clicked on it. Thanks again.
Hey thanks for this vid, Chris. I was working on a KW earlier tonight and had I seen this first, would have tried a roller replacement even tho' the rollers weren't in bad shape. You make it look easy enough to give it a shot.
Thanks, the video was very helpful, just replacing the power cord this time. Any idea on where to get an "official" Lionel power cord?

Question - out of the KW, ZW(275watt) , and early Z type transformers, which is the best for running many trains at one time? (i collect PreWar) thank you :P
+TrollsPlayVideoGames The ZW 275 is the best, how ever , when running all four trains you will notice a drop in power, because all four sets are sharing the wattage on one rheostat . Also, while your operating four trains and you decide to stop one out of the four trains, you will notice an increase in power to the last three trains you are running.

LOMBARDISPACKERS1 Thank you! I went with the early 250 watt Z transformers because they fit better with the era of tranes I'm running - but it was thoughtful of you to reply - again thank you:P
Anyone know where I can purchase a set of the carbon rollers? I purchased the KW transformer as a completely rebuilt unit, But one roller is flat on one side, and both have heavy wear. Bummer for Christmas. :~/
