This video is a gem, can't find a better in depth video then this specially in the niche of ROS. Thnx man.. also appreciate the fact that you took the efforts to make this video in 4k res.
Thank you very much! this is an amazing tutorial, I really needed for my project but I have ROS2 Humble so what i need to change to do this tutorial again, sir?
Here is what google search reveals: www.osrfoundation.org/wordpress2/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/roscon2014_scpeters.pdf Apparently, it is possible, and I am not surprised. This is because Gazebo is an ODE simulator and you can specify spring and damping constants or something similar that is equivalent to spring and dampers.
This is ROS1 not ROS2. For ROS2 you have to write a different launch file. That is, you can use the same xacro/urdf files, however, you need different launch files.
We used Ubuntu, 20.04, and ROS Noetic on Linux machine. Do not use Windows if you want to learn ROS. Install Ubuntu from scratch. You can setup a dual boot on the machine.

Glad it was helpful!
Launch files worked perfectly!! I really needed for my project. Thank you so much!
Thank you Sam Lee! I am glad that this tutorial is useful.
This is an amazing tutorial, and such are the other ones I have seen from you. Keep up the amazing work!
Thank you so much!

There will be ROS2 tutorial coming out in a few days.
Thanks!
Thank you man!
Happy to help!
is this compatible with the ros2 humble distribution?
The URDF/Xacro files will stay the same, however, launch files and package creation is different.
Hello Alexander I would like to ask you something about simulating mass spring damper system in Gazebo. Is it possible to build the model on Gazebo??

If you don't mind then could you please show the simulation in Gazebo 😊I am very new to this field and I am unable to built it.
@@nitishabordoloi3987 I wish I had time to do that. Currently, I have some other priorities, however, if the time allows I will create the video.
@@aleksandarhaber thank you so much 😊😊
@@nitishabordoloi3987 You are welcome.
Hello new with ROS here,
Will this work for foxy?

Hello, can you make a video for ackermann driving, I am having difficulty finding sources. (Ros humble)
I wish I had time to do that. Maybe in the future if the time allows. Currently, I have some other priorities.
Did you use gazebo on virtual machine (windows with installed Virtualbox (or something simillar) and gazebo) ?
We used Ubuntu, 20.04, and ROS Noetic on Linux machine. Do not use Windows if you want to learn ROS. Install Ubuntu from scratch. You can setup a dual boot on the machine.
