I think in p channel mode resistance when its charge with gate-source resitance is lower between gate and drain !!

it should be negative probe on source for n channel and +ve probe on source for p channel??? isnt it???

What if i get no reading in resistance tests? Defective ? For example gate to source its OL, n-mosfet ?? Then i got some p mosfet that shows 9k resistance both ways, is it low or high ? Thanks

Hello!
I get the similar result with an N-mosfet too (9k), in which i doubt is any good as I have a problem with an switching psu that immediatly shuts down right after it has been turned on.
I have checked all the capacitors with capacitance and ESR, transistors & resistors, and can not find anything but this mosfet of what is left to be the suspected failure.
To my consinderation of the video, 9k is quite low compared to his results.
But 9k ohms can also be defined as a high resistance at the same time depended on the voltage that goes through.
It would have been nice if "Electronics Learning PH" could answear such a simple question if it is good or not.
Either way, I've ordered new mosfet's to replace with if it really is bad.
Then I can also compare what the new mosfet's read.

Thanks for the tip.
I've tried to swap the UC3844N and LM324N chip, also the CNY17-2Z optocoupler and it still won't boot.
Can not find any shorted transistors or anything burnt, and the fuse and NTC is good.
So not much left to check.

Hi. What is considered high resistance. I'm reading 9.4K ohms in 1:59 and 2:08.

A resistance of some MegaOhms is considered a high resistance.
Some KiloOhms would be medium resistance.
