My heels got cut in the Prime X Strung 1, Adios Pro 3 and Boston 11, something about that new style Adidas heel cut my too shreds....BUT after 3 or 4 runs it obviously bedded in and has never been an issue again (just had to plaster up my heels for every run to get through to that point)
interesting, thanks for sharing, I got really bad blisters on the Prime X 1 Strung and Pro 3 as well, so much so that I stopped using them in my Marathon prep, now that this is done I'll see if I can get them to work.
YES! So I'm not crazy, the Pro 3 did the same to me in Sept 2022. I'm fine in all the other Adidas Adizero uppers. I only made it through 2 runs and seriously thought the shoes were defective (couldn't find many people with cutting complaints) so returned them. Maybe I'll revisit the Pro 3 if a good sale comes up.
I've had this same issue with Prime X Strung + Adios Pro 3 and one thing I've tried is flipping the "cape" into the shoe when I slide my foot in and it provided enough protection to limit the irritation. Maybe give that a go and see if it helps at all.
I would argue you get more value per wear with an expensive trainer. 300 miles on my Superblast and still loads more to go. Much prefer to spend $200 on a shoe that goes 500 miles than $250 on a shoe that I only wear a few times for racing. Just my thoughts
Don't have the Prime X 2 and probably won't be picking it up because of the $300 price tag here in the USA, aIso because I love the Superblast even though it has some issues for me: I am a true men’s US size 9 including my ASICS Nimbus 24/25 and Cumulus but had to size down in the Superblast and even then the 8.5 has plenty of room in the toe. The increase width in the forefoot causes me to clip the left inner side of the FF Blast trim on the right upper causing wear so I really need to run with good form to avoid this. Breath ability, what I experienced on a cold windy Half this past weekend, the toe section allowed excellent airflow but the rest of the upper has none. The outsole is a stone magnet but they are very easy to remove after my run with my fingers or needle nose pliers if needed. Once they break-in the ride is very smooth and comfy but out of the box a little firm.
Which would you choose for a marathon? I currently have the Superblast but like something with more pop. Do the Strung X2 run long like version 1? Thanks
Not sure where to put the superblast. I guess its not a pure daily and if so its really at the faster end of the daily spectrum which means it falls into the endorphin speed category. The latter one is lighter and significantly cheaper than the superblast. What does the superblast do better than the speed?
Heyy Nick, really nice video, I was wondering if I can help you by better video editing and also make highly engaging short. Let me know to have my portfolio or your edited sample video. Cheers, Rajvir Singh
It is the Yeti, but I can’t seem to get great sound in the room I’m in! Too much gain and I get echoes. Rode lapel mic seems even worse. I’ll keep tinkering, but don’t have the time to soundproof the walls each time so bit of sound bounce. Any sound tips appreciated!
Superblast has 2 different foams and no plate. PX2S has 3 layers of a single foam and 2 carbon plates. Superblast belongs in the same category as the Boston 12, which is half the price of the PX2S and a lot closer to that of the SB. Weird comparison. Don't think anybody was choosing between these 2 shoes lol.
Totally agree. PX2S is a racing shoe and Superblast is an all rounder and if I had to pick a type for it, I would say it is more a training than a race shoe. I am afraid the comparison is not right.
though the superblast is cheaper it is extremely hard to find on sale and the prime x2 strung does get cheaper as adidas has a bunch of these frequent random sales for no reason what so ever.
Wow! That's what I was wanting to hear! Thank you!

“I think I might use it ‘cause I’m not racing” 😂😂 Glowing recommendation!! 😂 Yes both are VERY expensive for something you wouldn’t use for racing!!

I own Superblast and Prime X2, but I recommend the New Balance SuperComp instead.
The Superblast color options are hard to look at

Try and find a pair of super last in the uk. Not even ASICS have stock
Impossible in the UK
Even in Feb 2024
Same for the US
I am half a size down in the Superblast and Boston 12 or Adidas Pro 3.. How is the fit of the Prime X2? Same sizing as Boston 12 or Adidas Pro 3?
Yes, same size. I am also 1/2 size down in Superblast, Boston 12, and Adios Pro, and Prime x

Amazing
I want to buy the superblast. I have $3
Awesome
Can we order Nick a better camera and maybe some lights ?
Super duper 🎉🎉🎉
Microphone is either off or I am going deaf
Yeah Nick sounds like he is recording from the laptop mic not from the Yeti.

Superblast all day, don't get along with Adizero shoes with my wide midfoot.

HEll no tts!!!!!!!!!
I love the Superblast but they start to get boring after 300 k..
Probably your fault
