Enjoyed your Gear video and am looking forward to following you again on your CDT journey. I’ll be doing the Colorado Trail this year plus the Sierra section of the PCT. Keeping it real...your amigo, REV.
Felicidades Fish Tank!! Wow!! Excited for your adventure. I'll be watching. So far I have 2 now to follow.. you and and Smiles who just finished the FLORIDA TRAIL.
North of Lordsburg all the way up to Colorado there are many, many sections where it will be below freezing at night in New Mexico. Most of the CDT route is through high desert, it freezes at night into May. Make sure to sleep with the Sawyer filter under your quilt or else it will freeze. No joke. If you don't pay attention to the forecast and you don't want to sleep with your filter then be sure to carry Aquamira throughout New Mexico or you will suffer the consequences.
Hey my friend. I’m not 100% sure. Hoping for the weekend of the 16th/17th. Will be starting a little slow to build the legs/body back up. But...you are starting a few days after me so there is a really good chance we will cross paths. Be sure to say hi 😍.
Great video man, I'll be at crazy cook on the 24th. I chose to drop my Jabra ear buds for the same reason you mentioned. The wires from my cheap pair of skull candy's get annoying, but I'll live And get a little more charge for everything else
Heavy and really not a good choice for long distance. Day/Weekend hikes absolutely but long distance better to go a good Puffy type coat rather than fleece.
@@FishTankonthePacificCrestTrail Yea I get it. I also bring a down jacket. I use an Alfa polartech fleece that weighs 5oz. with a hood. It breaths extremely well so you can hike with it but with a wind or rain jacket over it is very warm. Primarily for those cold mornings where a shirt is not enough and down is too warm. I will often use it with the Montbell 1000 fill down jacket which imo is warmer than the Ghost Whisperer and weighs less than 5oz. though has no hood. I feel ,that combination has more versatility and will keep you warmer at almost to the same weight.
I am watching your PCT vlogs and see the blister issues you had. If you haven't already, consider adding some Injinji toe socks to your kit as liner socks. They would most likely greatly reduce blisters. Just saying. Looking forward to your CDT vlogs.
Best thing to help ward off altitude sickness is to eat Tums with calcium through the day. I live at 9000 feet and this is something that really helps. See you on the trail!
Looking forward to following you on your Epic Adventure this year. Safe travels! would you have ever believed it if four years ago someone told you that you would leave on this adventure with only a 2" Swiss Army knife? :)
You said the videos would be "family friendly" - perhaps you could do an R-rated outtakes version filled with mayhem and chaos? Looks like you have a well planned out system of gear there.
Ally and i have "discussed" an adult version video with all my frustrations, out-takes and temper tantrums..... might be more X rated lol. Especially early on trail..... :-)
Hi Fishtank! Solo here. I met you today. See you next week. The trail magic will be here. Great gear video!
Hey Solo. Thanks again for the Magic! I found Casino at the RV park. Thanks for everything.

Smart move Ryan. Im just about to do the same. Love the earbuds but don't wanna have to worry about charging them.
See ya out there
Fish Tank
Not sure who’s more excited you or me about this trip. I’ll be watching.😁👍
Hey Erick. YOur comment made my day. But i gotta say this last week the "intensity" level has risen.... I'm pretty stoked

No light fleece for cool weather hiking?

Love it! This is super helpful for when we do the PCT in a few years.
So glad!
Just joined. Good luck!

...also love the film canister with all the SD cards. It's great those things are pretty cheap now.

Interesting tip- never heard of that before.
Be VERY, VERY aware of Tums (calcium carbonate) and developing unbelievable constipation. Yup, I should have known better! GK
Bad luck to open an umbrella inside bro……
Sub'd! Good luck out there
Hope you didn't jinx yourself opening that umbrella indoors. Good luck.
Thx. Fingers crossed 🤣
