This Feature Just became much more powerful with gapless. Ive never really used setlist feature on any rig or modeler previously but this may change now ! I tend to build several very versatile presets and switch through the scenes live. Now you can literally have any part of a song pushing the cpu and have the next part pushing it in a completely different rig. with access to 6 more on another page. Thats powerful !
Sir, Thank you for your lovely videos about fm9. I recently had one. I do have a question though, when I am changing presets in preset mode there is a audio delay. I mean it’s not gapless. Could you explain how we can reduce them
Cool video. Got my FM9T mk II coming this week, coming from a Helix. So with the new Gapless switching in the firmware, now the song feature should be much more seamless when accessing multiple presets and scenes. I do like this setlist/song feature, but wondering how to overcome the set Tempo for different songs. If just pulling the song part from other presets and scenes, is there a way to assign a tempo to that setlist song when using subdivisions for time based effects, or will it always need to use the tempo set for the original preset and scene it is pulling from, or be manually tapped in? Any other workaround to overcome this issue?
The presets you're using can have a fixed tempo. Just make sure every preset you're using for a specific song has that tempo. If you're using the same preset for two different songs at two different tempos, just make a copy of the preset and set the tempo differently
@@RoshRoslin I know that is the normal way to do it, but am trying to use one preset for all songs, so wanted to use the Preset Controllers feature (Far left menu on Edit) where you can set different BPMs for the 4 channels and then recall them with a footswitch assignment. Trying to get away with having per song presets. I see it can be done, just dont see how to assign those 4 channels to a footswitch for the overall tempo change.
Hi Rosh! Excellent video!! I hope you are well! I'm looking for a solution for the detail that, after each update, you have to reset the amplifier block so that the parameters are "renewed" and load those included in the update, but, I manage around 70 presets, it's literally going to be hell Doing it every time a new firmware comes out, creating setlists based on songs could be a solution, but in some songs I need more than 6 song sections. What could I do about it? It es really necesary realice that amp reset in the block? I've had an FM9 Turbo for about 3 months.
I have a challenge for you, please create a working layout for songs and set lists for the FM3. I can’t put together something that makes any sense to actually use.
Why is there not a feature that allows me to order my songs( presets) for a gig without having to overwrite an existing preset with a new preset when my song Setlists changes from gig to gig. I play in a cover band and we change up our cover tunes from gig to gig. There is no quick way to order my 40 presets for the 40 songs we play in one night. I make a preset for each song we play btw.
Getting my FM9 today and I've been binging these videos for like a week. So informative. Thanks Rosh!
Glad to help!

@@RoshRoslin Thank you for all your doing for Fractal community !
Can I see the "current song name somewhere" in the screen? As far as I noticed, I can see previous and next, but no current...
Thanks so much Rosh wondering how the FM3 would incorporate this with only 3 switches?
Thanks Rosh, your help is greatly appreciated!
You're very welcome
Very good explaination. Many thanks from Germany.
Glad it was helpful!
This is a very insightful video! Thank you!

Watch my videos dealing with gapless switching I explain how to there
great, but how to use this setlist, I have the omg9 layout set and I can't play the list
OMG9 won't do what you're trying to do. You need to make two seperate layouts between the FC6 and the FM3

Do this method on the FM9.
Best Video ever God bless you
Thanks!

Use hold functions to go up and down through songs and use the 3 switches to select song sections for whatever song(s) you're in.

Dragging and dropping in the tools > manage presets menu allows you to swap the order of presets.
