I love your show Ed and Dan, it must do wonders for the fishing community. If you keep them coming, i'll keep watching them.
Love these videos, keep doing what your doing Dan.
We share the same thought! I dive with my son every chance we have! We started in very shallow water, hes very competative and tried for the next year to out dive me. 3 years later he has me by 10 feet or so. He now dives at 70 ft. We learned to dive in Okinawa, Japan and now we are learning the Southern Islands in CA. Under the water is the only place you can get away from work cell phones and focus on what is really important, your family!!!
Fantastic vid, sitting here looking at the snow out the window and feeling so very jealous.
+Cryo Varian Hey we love snow too. We have some videos coming out soon on snowboarding various locations.
Thank you for sharing that video with us.
Thanks for the video! Looks delicious.
Amazing videos. Let me know when a job opens up at the Harbor House so i can come live the good life and spearfish with you guys. Ha. Keep the videos coming.
Great mesaage and reminders of what life and diving is all about. Thank you for the inspiration guys 👍🏼
My best time is 2min 30sec. I'm not a free diver but it feels like meditation to hold my breath under water. It's so quite and calm.
+Jessica Byrd well said. that is exactly how it is for us!
Awesome on many levels. Thanks.
these two guys are great sportsmen
You should try Spearfishing for a Halibut here in New England...... Love your videos.

excellent catch I wish I was with you I hope it tasted as good as it looks
+Russ B. We all love to cook. We try our best to honor the fish by cooking it to perfection. If it did not taste good, we would not catch it.
great video, not easy to capture a halibut
Do you train to hold your breath longer and what training exercises do you do?
+ADT926 The short answer is yes, the long answer is that it takes several disciplines to increase your breath hold depending on how much performance you want to get out of your training. Here is a list. Static breath holds with O2 and CO2 tolerance tables. Running, stretching, swimming, weight training, cross training with other sports, and always the best activity for increasing your breath hold is free diving multiple days in a row.
Thanks for the reply with a few exercises!
Do you guys ever find Dungeness crabs out there? Also what size gun would you guys recommend? I was looking into buying a 75cm pathos is that a big enough gun? Reel no reel? Thanks for the awesome footage by the way keep them coming
+Andres Rivera Sometimes we find Dungeness crabs in Monterey, but it is a bit fair since the sea otters get most of the ones in shallow water. If you go north bast where otters typically live, there are better spots to harvest Dungeness crabs. A 75cm gun is plenty for Halibut, especially if you use two bands and you get close. On days with good visibility a 90cm is better though. We like using reels because sometime the halibut run and you don't want your shaft to rip out.
+HarborHouseLife nice thanks for the advice man appreciate it for sure
No worries. We hope to see you on the water someday!
+HarborHouseLife someday for sure I'm in Castroville so whenever you guys need a dive buddy let me know I'm up for it.
Sounds good!
