Even from places we would not expect -- a Disney animated film, in this instance -- we can still find absolute musical gems, as you're showing us with this beautiful song.
Disney has some great tunes. If you get your hands on the old lullaby CD (my daughter's favorite when she was younger) you will love it. I had my own arrangement of this song - I threw it away after hearing yours! Fantastic as always! BTW - "Sunny Side of the Street"?
@@GuitarversumSandraSherman Just one question. What's the first C chord? Is it barred 8th then 9th on G string and 10th on A (I ask as a screenreader user).
I always liked this Disney song..and i had wondered if this was included in your tutorial...low and behold..here we are . Thank you for this post greatly appreciated.
This is beautiful. Thank you for this wonderful explanation of a wonderful song. Do you have a youtube tipjar or a paypal donation button to which I can donate? I have no need for pdfs but I do want to show you my gratitude for these superb video lessons.
Thank you, Dino! Glad your Enjoy the lessons 😊. You can always donate to Paypal Sherman at sandrasherman dot com, or just got the thanks button below the video 😊.
Beautiful arrangement with some nice sounding chords. The Barry Harris chord voicing always remind me of this song, I guess these would lend themselves well. I have yet to learn/ attempt that! Great lesson thanks 😊
You are amazing dear Sandra, I’m so grateful for all the time and effort that you invest into each one of your wonderful lessons. Your detailed explanations are extremely clear and helpful. You have the heart of a teacher, a beautiful personality, and a lovely smile. It’s always a pleasure to see you. Excellent arrangement and performance!
Yes, I still like it very much, but slowly going back to my workhorse, the Gibson Howard Roberts Fusion. My shoulders are much better now and can play that guitar again for an hour, sometimes two.
What a wonderful arrangement, Sandra👏👏👏😁! I love the lush voicings you used. Well done - played! I saw Bill Frisell play this a few years back on his “Wish Upon a Star” tour. There are elements of your cover (ie, use of 2nds…) that remind me of his approach. Love it😁. Be well!
I love these songs from the thirties, and particularly your arrangements. How about “These Foolish Things”? It may be beyond my skill set, but you set inspirational goals for me in your selections.
I going to add this to my collection of some 37 Sandra chord melodies. I would like to request a rubato arrangement of the beautiful ballad "Angel Eyes " Thanks for all the great music!
I do love these Disney tunes in jazz, especially your rendering of this one. May I hope you shall make a lesson on another beautiful song of that kind: "A dream is a wish your heart makes"? Thank you for all your work .
Really pretty! I’ll have to try this one. You have given me about 10 years of stuff to learn, but this is worth it…on that note, have you put together a lesson for Stolen Moments? Your transcriptions are very interesting!
Really sorry to hear your shoulder problems are restricting your playing/choice of guitar (although the D'Angelico Mini DC is a fine instrument). I've battled osteoarthritis in the hips and arthritis in the left middle finger for a few years now (I'm a left-handed finger-style guitarist) but I still play every day. Love your style and sheer talent, Sandra, and you'll be happy to know it's your videos that turned an old blues player on to jazz. Keep it up!
Hope there is a treatment for your finger issues. My shoulders are much better already and I'll post a video of what finally helped me, after 2 years of hell.
Thank you for this wonderful arrangement , but in the middle section, I think a G13 is far preferable to the G7#5 and the sheet music indicates the note of 'E' and not 'Eb'. I love your work and efforts for the guitar community , so please don't think of this as a criticism.

I was surprised myself I liked that song. It's not known here in Europe. So always keep the requests coming!
you are greedy

I didn't know this tune as such a beautiful jazz song. Bravo!!!
Sandra is my hero. Ty for this!!!!
Awh, thank you so much
Thanks for "When you wish upon a star," "Somewhere over the Rainbow," "Aint Misbheavin" and the other lessons I am currently trying to learn.
The pleasure's all mine. I had fun recording it.
@@GuitarversumSandraSherman Just one question. What's the first C chord? Is it barred 8th then 9th on G string and 10th on A (I ask as a screenreader user).
Sorry, I just saw this now. The first C chord is a simple C triad: 8th fret on low E-string. 7th fret on the A-string, and 5th fret on the D-string
This is an interesting one, for all the substitutions. Please more of that! Thank you!!!
für mich, dein bestes arrangement! richtig, richtig gut!!!!!
Vielen Dank!
The sweetest arrangement and much fun to study and play. Someone mentioned Bill Frisell, I attended a concert of him a week ago.
Bill is generally sick a great player. I've got to see him live yet.

@@GuitarversumSandraSherman You are very welcome, I hope your brother is doing well. Best wishes for him 🙏
You sound SO fantastic, as always, and I know the D'Angelico is still somewhat new to you. Still loving it?
