    This is incredibly creative from start to finish! Beautiful! As if the modeling wasn't amazing on its own, the transition from start to finish and the interaction of the model's expressions in the process just puts it over the top. Best work in progress I've ever seen.

    God, if only 3D modelling could be that quick! Great work!

    • @virtual_intel
      @virtual_intel 6 років тому +9

      It actually is quicker than that if you use the right tools and especially out on Blender. I'm sure you know that by now though :D I use automated tools to speed up the 3D model generation of humanoid base meshes. Why start from scratch if you don't really need to anymore, unless you're going for full character customization starting as this person has done.

    • @JamesReubenGruta
      @JamesReubenGruta 5 років тому +5

      @@virtual_intel
      1. If its a study or presentation, starting from scratch is the best way.
      2. I believe youre talking about sculpting and not box modeling. Box modeling always starts with very low poly hence "box" and having presets with box doesnt really make sense.
      3. Even if you have presets for box, it wont save much time. Its like buying bananas without peel because you want to save time peeling them.

      @@virtual_intel the quickest professional modeler could do - is 8 hours, add another 5-6 hours if you do retopology from sculpting. Quick as fart, right? :D

    • @3enjamin
      @3enjamin 3 роки тому +1

      @@virtual_intel Pretty sure you know that, but you can't model quicker than this video, literally this video was a speedup xx version of the modeling process. Your comment probably make newcomers or people outside the field get the wrong impression and think it's possible to model this head in only 1 minute from scratch. We don't consider face generation or stock base model is the same with this modeling, only compare time if you do the same/similar process. Put it short, this's a timelapse speedup video and nobody even pro 3d artist could done this in 1 minutes. Nobody. You might be able model faster than the author in realife modeling, but to say model quicker than this video is just lead to misunderstanding for typical audience (because clearly the user who made the original comment about how quick it was, was totally a outsider, he took this as if it was the real time speed of modeling in daily life of a pro which is not true at all).

      @@3enjamin Did you read the comment I responded to here. It stated 3D modeling. That encompasses a great deal of differing methods to create 3D models. So yes that would also include auto generators like the MetaHuman Creator we have today out here online.
