Hi SoupSoup, just came here to say that I will be attending to my exams the next 2 weeks, so I won't be able to see your videos, but will definitely binge watch them after my final exams! Bye for now
Happy Easter! Loving the series, I think it would be cool to add a room that’s kind of like a “research center” having different things from the nether (mobs, fungus, trees, ores) that you are “studying” Maybe trapping a zombie pig man in a glass container to study, things like that! Your so creative you can probably add even more to it then I could think of if you end up doing it anyway 😅 You’ve inspired me a lot in my own Minecraft world, I wanna do so much more then I could’ve thought of doing before watching you, so I have to say, thank you for making this amazing series, I’m looking forward to seeing this world grow and become even more full of life!
A tip for the interior design of the nether base: You can place light blue glass blocks in front of the hazmat suit and put two pistons facing towards it and power them to push the glasses into it and make it look as if the suit is in a capsule✨
9:50 you'd love some vanilla+ clientside mods like Ambient Sounds, Presence Footsteps and Sound Physics to add reverb to caves, etc. It'll never happen from Mojangs side, but those lightweight mods really add atmosphere you'd never want to miss again :)
Just found your channel from your "How Minecraft is Changing UA-cam" video and I just wanted to thank you for reminding me what got me into UA-cam. That video managed to revitalize the excitement that I lost as I began basing my videos more off the potential "exciting" content that could result from a modpack rather than just playing it. Now I am part of that 100 day UA-camr party that you mention in the video and while I do plan on sticking to 100 days videos for the foreseeable future, you're video has reminded me to just let the 100 days happen to me rather than making sure I check things off a list I need to complete for the content. Apologies for the word vomit (hopefully it all made sense lol). Loved the videos I've watched so far, and gonna continue catching up on the series :)
Stampy was the minecraft youtuber of my childhood, im 20 now and I think you’ll become the minecraft youtuber of my adulthood. Keep doing what you do much love bro
Had a few bad days because of university, I've had to restart 2 assignments I'd almost completed because of bad criteria sheets, so this vid definitely uplifted me, thank you as always
I just found your channel a few days ago and your videos have been great to watch. I love the slower pace and cozy vibe that you provide. I can't remember the last time I just watched a Minecraft lets play with no gimmicks. I like how in your episodes you make a goal, but you still allow yourself to go on detours and adventures.
Having modular-style bases and the 01, 02, etc naming convention for your nether outposts is a pretty nifty and tidy concept! IMO it’s not too similar to Dallas’ nether bases but if you’re looking for more inspiration to further differentiate, check out the McMurdo Station concept art by OZ Architecture. It’s a modernization effort for a research station in Antarctica and uses the same color scheme you have. Same survival concept too (save for the lecture hall unless you want to build that to brief us audience/viewers)! Great episode and looking forward to the next! I am worried about what Gil is up to though, hahaha.
Awesome episode as always SoupSoup! Favorite element is the yellow dyed leather armor. A few base upgrade ideas: 1) Use signs on the walls to indicate what rooms are what. The text dye and glow ink system can make for some awesome signs, and adds a layer of detail and function, especially as the nether base grows with more hallways. 2) Adding a teal or crimson stripe to the outside of the base with empty signs added to the wall would add some nice color. 3) Adding some quartz pillars in the walls could be excellent detailing and since the nether has a ton of quartz it would make sense. 4) Adding an airlock to the door to outside could help keep mobs from wandering in and add some fun lore detail. 5) You can silk touch the red and teal ground to plant some shroom trees around the base and decorate it more 6) Adding string on the floor of the base could add some nice detail and keep mobs from spawning in the base, or you can drop the floor down a half slab to prevent spawning. 7) I like someone else's suggestion of locking an armor stand in glass blocks to look like a hazmat suit. 8) Armor trims add wonderful detail to all types of armor when you have time to find them and use them 9) Add some antenne's to the top of the base, like sending signals back and forth with other bases when you build them 10) Maps of the nether look like static on a TV screen that could be cool for a monitor on the wall. If you want more, let me know! I always have more ideas than time to build, haha. Thanks for another excellent episode!
Modification for the armor equipper, remove all Redstone wiring outside, replace the pressure plate with a Redstone dust and add a button on the middle dispenser. One click you’ll be fully equipped & no mobs can activate buttons. Bonus tip: you can add 2 more dispensers one on top of your head pointing down & the other under your feet pointing up.
A tip for overworld nether portal : you can add a bunch of magma blocks and lave around the portal! And also i love your videos and i have watching your videos scince episode 0
@@TrulyFailedReal not exactly. Is Steve a human or is he a Minecraft mob. Just because everything else is doesn’t mean he is as well. He’s either an animal from Minecraft or the human being animal.
I love how different the style of this build is compared to the overworld base! It helps the nether stand out from the overworld even more than it already does. The piglin farm is super fun too. Your emphasis on fun over efficiency is what makes this series shine. Because of how blocky and abstract the shapes of the rooms are, I think the base could benefit from some verticality. But in an equally abstract way. The best way I could describe it would be the way the bases are in Subnautica. You could make a room for growing netherwart similar to your greenhouse, but with this same style we’ve been keeping. You could again lean into the studying of the netherwart like it’s this strange substance we don’t know much about yet… I built a lot of “laboratory-like” things in Minecraft growing up, so this episode was a real treat for me. I loved it! I hope Gill isn’t up to too much trouble..
Just on the thumbnail my thought was "subnautica in space" in the nether. The lab rooms with the halls and the white and grey *and should add teal highlights* would be really nice. Plus would be cool to make an airlock to make sure the nether air doesn't "infect" the air in the base.
I can see SoupSoup joining in on hermitcraft in the very near future, or at least being apart of their community. The level of wholesomeness is on par with GoodTimesWithScar, Grian, and many other hermits, but he also has this uniqueness about him that separates him from the rest. We truly need more content like this, especially with all the fast paced and highly saturated Minecraft content that’s constantly getting repetitive and annoying (I’m calling out myself as well). If you read this SoupSoup, please keep up the incredible and inspiring content! Please don’t get discouraged and keep going!
I don't know, whats different about him is that he is relatable, we could build the stuff he builds, it's a single player world, that's whats soo good. As much as I love Grian, Mumbo, Scar and everybody else it's a different feeling with SoupSoup, much more intimistic and close to home, even nostalgic
In the doorway of the armor equiper you can dig four blocks down, put a sign in the hole on the side of the floor and put a carpet on top of the sign. This tricks mobs into thinking they can't walk over the carpet.

Is Cave Crusher a Lego Power Miner's Reference? I remember you saying in a previous episode that you like collecting and building Lego sets, and Cave Crusher was the name of a set from Power Miners, which was a theme back in 2009 and 2010
Hi soup! I have some ideas. First of all, add redstone timer to "Fungus Factory" to not make it waste so many bonemeal. Second, IT IS PERFERCT PLACE TO MAKE WARTS FARM. Also, for the QOTD will you share saves with us? Thats all. See ya in Minecraft
I think inspiring the nether side from the game Doom would be nice. I also think adding in vats or chambers of various "liquids" for aesthetic would be nice, like a white glass vat for liquid oxygen, or a green glass vat for storing a mob for research purposes, or a light blue vat for "liquid hydrogen" to act as air conditioning and to pretend cool down the area. Having a room for each process could double for other stuff too! The oxygen room could be the nether-side food room or the hazmat suit room (refuel and resuit up), the research green vat could double up as a piglin trading hall. The liquid hydrogen air conditioning could double up as a the potion crafting or overworld tree farm room (with the excuse being the air conditioning also acts a environmental reconditioner)
I'm a little late but I have a suggestion for the control room; adding some crimson vines/vegetation might help with some details. Having the Nether creep into the lab could be cool
Something I do is I build roads from location to location, but any location more than 2k away, I will build a teleportation command block once the road is finished. If you're in a single player world, you can do /time add so its like fast travel with a cost. What I do though is I usually only allow for the command teleport to be in a ship and build a harbour, so its not something you can just "do" but requires a lot of attractive set up before you can use it.
I have really poor eyesight at the moment and the member shrine blends in with the spruce trees (same shape), because I can only really see the silhouettes. I actually think it's really cool, though.
You could use some pistons in the sides to shake the platform so the fungus will be collected automatically 😊 And for the hoglin one, you can put some dispensers with lava buckets on top and just activate then deactivate them for a second so the baby one don't get hurt(but you need to make an observer loop clock to make it flicker so they get killed fater and be more reliable). And like that you won't kill the babies with your sword and make it more industrial And get cooked meat if you like (that might make the smoker useless but I'm sure you could work around it)😊 Hope you will read this *ARTICLE* 😂 and sorry for the length but i really wanted to help you with your amazing sries ❤

Suggestions for the lab on the nether AND the over world campsite near your nether portal, you can add like a experiment chamber/tube for a hoglin in your nether lab and transfer a different hoglin to the over world and make another chamber for it because they transform into zombiefied hoglin, if you wanna go further and add more lore maybe like put a pig beside the zombiefied hoglin but on a different chamber and likewise on the nether put a zombie pigman on a different chamber next to the hoglin. It's a lot of work but it gives some experiment vibe..hope you understand what I'm tryna say.
I love the videos!! my day gets so much better after I see you upload and i love the streams please do them more often!!!! also you should put a strider in that empty space in the nether as a pet and use him whenever you need him
dude I have been here since episode 0 and to see that in 8 minutes its got 156 views is insane! I always love your content and ur amazing! Happy Easter btw.
You should take on an ocean monument before fighting the ender dragon- it gives amazing prismarine lights and you can use it to decorate a lot of stuff, especially the nether base
SOUP SOUP UPLOADED THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!! Amazing video to watch while I was eating lunch XD Maybe an idea is to create a laboratory or nether nursery wing to examine the nether flora. Then maybe you can have cleric villagers running the lab? Idk just a thought.
hey there, someone who came from episode 0 binging your videos, your stew actually reminded me of something. you know how mansions have some marble fountains or something? I know it doesn’t fit the more minecraft vibe if that makes sense but it sure does fit the mansion vibe, just sharing my ideas keep up the good work ❤
Yo, it’s crazy. I remember finding your channel when you had 100 subscribers. It’s crazy how fast you’ve grown your an amazing UA-camr keep it up I had an idea for the nether base why don’t you move the villagers in but make some of them nitwits or the green ones and get a texture pack that makes them look like scientist it looks like scientist going all around the building and it may look like there experimenting on the portal just an idea hope you have an amazing day :)
If you get an elytra, keeping it unenchanted or just no mending would make it better. At least for me. Then it would be like your tools where the durability will eventually run out. Plus it’s semi hard to repair
Do you have an ideal end to the world? Also keep up the great work your channel is growing so fast and is inspiring me your so good and your vids make my day!
hey man, love your videos, you are growing so fast and i have been here since day one, i am one of your first few hundred subscribers, such a great series, keep up the amazing work!
9:50 there's a resource pack I use called dynamic sounds that adds a lot of ambient noise to the overworld! you should check it out, it makes the game feel a lot more alive if you ask me
Happy Easter to those who celebrate! 🎉 What else should we add to our Nether base?

Question: will Gill be getting a friend in his tank? Maybe the reason why he is always trying to blow up the base is because he wants a friend lol.
Sadly axolotls attack all underwater mobs, so Gill will just murder anything that gets placed in there.

I love the videos!! my day gets so much better after I see you upload and i love the streams please do them more often!!!! also you should put a strider in that empty space in the nether as a pet and use him whenever you need him
I love you, SoupSoup! Thank you for uploading again 😊
Loved the vid! Keep up the good work 🤓
dude I have been here since episode 0 and to see that in 8 minutes its got 156 views is insane! I always love your content and ur amazing! Happy Easter btw.
SoupSoup is just, my comfort youtuber/streamer to watch
I love this Minecraft series so much
Love from Sweden
You should take on an ocean monument before fighting the ender dragon- it gives amazing prismarine lights and you can use it to decorate a lot of stuff, especially the nether base
SOUP SOUP UPLOADED THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!!
Amazing video to watch while I was eating lunch XD
Maybe an idea is to create a laboratory or nether nursery wing to examine the nether flora. Then maybe you can have cleric villagers running the lab? Idk just a thought.
For the entrance/exit for your nether hub, you should make a decompression chamber type thing instead.
SOUP SOUP!!! 5th time I’ve asked, you should build a giant custom cherry blossom tree with beehives and hanging Lanterns on it
I love the series! Also, happy easter!
Happy Easter!
looks like a vault from fallout, i like it!!
hey there, someone who came from episode 0 binging your videos, your stew actually reminded me of something. you know how mansions have some marble fountains or something? I know it doesn’t fit the more minecraft vibe if that makes sense but it sure does fit the mansion vibe, just sharing my ideas keep up the good work ❤
I've been watching your series since the first episode I gotta say now I'm inspired to make a let's play😊😊
Bro is literally my new favorite Minecraft UA-camr
Love the series and can't wait for the next episode. P.S. (I never knew that you could breed hoglins.)
9:50 there's a resource pack I use called dynamic sounds that adds a lot of ambient noise to the overworld! you should check it out, it makes the game feel a lot more alive if you ask me
I wanted to be a member since you first announced it and i finaly am now!
I am so glad that I found your channel. I love how laid back your videos are 😊
