Let's be real. Moonlight is nothing but a piece of shit movie. It was way too overhyped with very little payoff. La La Land at least stuck with the same plot and had an ending. People try to shove it in my face saying Moonlight "very important", but there are a million different ways they could've told their story that could've been more groundbreaking. It had realism down, but the editing and direction of the plot points were just god awful.
Sure the premise might not be groundbreaking. But if you've seen the film you know that the cinematography, acting, story, singing, dancing are phenomenal. If you think this movie is bad you have no appreciation for cinematic storytelling.
Chris K Lol. you my friend have not seen la la land, then?. after all, it's called "la la land", not only referring to the city of angels or as the song goes, city of stars, but also that mental state. it's not just of people falling in love, it's about dreamers. don't cross it off just because it is mainstream. give it a chance.

Paularabl i agree with you, although I loved lalaland. I think the movie was great, but everybody is entitled to their own opinion. Otherwise life would be dull, boring and meaningless.
Kevin Kuo No, it isn't. It's my opinion. Just because I'm not in the Cult of La La Land, I'm not "absolutely wrong". I may be a huge Star Wars fan but there's more to Rogue One than just fan service: was also topical, timely, well-acted, powerful, perfectly paced and finely crafted. La La Land was fine, but its middle half dragged, the characters could be a bit condescending and I have an irrational ambivalence toward Emma Stone.
CECILY IS ME!! ABOUT LA LA LAND AND MOONLIGHT AHHH I SWEAR I'VE LITERALLY SAID "I don't wanna watch it because it's gonna be a whole thing" hahaha AND MY DAD IS AZIZ BC HE FELL ASLEEP TOO DURING THE LOVELY PARTS HAHA
Andrew Smith it is. If there is a weak spot it's Goslings singing. But that's not even that bad. And he more than makes up for it with the piano playing
J.J. Carter I know several people who love musicals and who watched La La Land and hate it. They said that the singing and dancing by both leads is not up to the standard of a high-budget musical. They said that they'd watched many musical films in which the singing & dancing is much better. They also said that the characters aren't likeable - he's arrogant & she has no personality.
I especially like how he says several times that he did like it despite noting some weaknesses, but the cops double down on the idea, of their own making, that he didn't like it and had said so. That captures something real about cop tactics right there.
Ooh, when he said Moonlight, I almost crawled through the screen and punched him. Also I completely agree with the interrogators and I loved the dancing in the stars scene.
This was one of the people saying they didn't like the movie especially the middle, but because they're sleeping. Even some people saying that they hate Infinity War and Endgame, BUT DUDE, THEY'RE SLEEPINNGG WATCHING ITTT!!!!!!! THEY'RE JUST AWAKE WHEN THERE IS AN ACTION PART. Don't try to watch a movie if you're gonna sleep in the middle of it.Remember, the middle was the Climax, the most important part of the story... I actually really love La la land. just sharing

Actually, I thought that Moonlight AND Rogue One were a lot better than La La Land.
I haven't seen Moonlight but I have seen Rogue One and to say that it's better than La La Land is absolutely wrong
I would watch a cop show with Beck and Cecily’s detectives. They did such a great job with those characters.
I liked both movies, but I think Moonlight is superior
CECILY IS ME!! ABOUT LA LA LAND AND MOONLIGHT AHHH I SWEAR I'VE LITERALLY SAID "I don't wanna watch it because it's gonna be a whole thing" hahaha
AND MY DAD IS AZIZ BC HE FELL ASLEEP TOO DURING THE LOVELY PARTS HAHA
I watched la la land yesterday and it was actually REALLY GOOD!!! Lived up to the hype!
Is the singing and dancing good?
Andrew Smith it is. If there is a weak spot it's Goslings singing. But that's not even that bad. And he more than makes up for it with the piano playing
J.J. Carter I know several people who love musicals and who watched La La Land and hate it. They said that the singing and dancing by both leads is not up to the standard of a high-budget musical. They said that they'd watched many musical films in which the singing & dancing is much better. They also said that the characters aren't likeable - he's arrogant & she has no personality.
I think the singing and dancing is actually brilliant especially Emma stone
2:33, did they unknowingly predict the Best Picture mixup?
Heck Yeah!
Cecily deserves a Golden Globe for this😂😂
Cecily Rocks! 💙
+4:01 "They had to build to that!" Lol!! That's great!! 😂😂😂
1:40 Hahaha 😂😂😂
HAIRCUT I wish someone was back there!
No one has commented so far about how strong she would have to be to actually do that.
I can't like ur comment on 69 sry
The fact that this showed up on my recommend after I started writing my essay critiquing La La Land makes me nervous
This would be Twitter stans against haters 😂
They are gonna be MAAADDDD when cinemasins does La La Land
it will be such a shame if la la land doesn't win the best picture for academy award.
As much as I hate to admit, this is an vaguely accurate representation of me when people talk to me about La La Land.
I especially like how he says several times that he did like it despite noting some weaknesses, but the cops double down on the idea, of their own making, that he didn't like it and had said so. That captures something real about cop tactics right there.
2:15 is even funnier now that the Oscars happened. 😂
Moonlight is better than La La Land, however, both are wonderful films.
If Twitter stans were left in a room with their favs haters 😂
The TV on a rolling cart really brings back memories of grade school.
I LOVED this movie but I get why some people don't like it.
This is me talking to my friends about La la Land, when i call it a musical they scream
This is the best video on yt lmao
Always been one of by favorite sketches
This is basically Twitter
You can’t have an opinion
Brooklyn 99 has gotten more aggressive
I saw La La Land on opening night, but it took me 3 and a half years to watch Moonlight. It absolutely deserved to win.
The police officers are my spirit animals😂😂😂
Maybe they dont like it cause it bored them so much they fell asleep and they dont like boring movies?
@@ילדטובירושלים-ת8פ but still, they couldn't understand the whole movie because they were sleeping. what's their reason to watch it? l
this is one of my favorite snl skits
The timing in this scene is great
I have never even heard of La La Land, Moonlight or Manchester by the Sea.
I do need to get around to actually watching Westworld, though.
Brilliant sketch! Aziz is hilarious. LaLa Land was an average to good film till the last 10 minutes. The ending catapults the film into a great film territory. It was simply outstanding!
