I love how much Aidy was struggling to pick up the gun in her chicken outfit
Jake and Maddie I just love Aidy altogether
"you think i don't know anything 'cause I fumble with my wings."
I guess you could say she had problems with her *HEN*~
I loved how many times he broke character hahah it makes it so much funnier
he basically cracked up in every skit.
I think he set a record for a host breaking on a SNL show IMO.
It is so cute and funny!
😂😂😂
I actually would have liked it better if he hadn't broken so much - he is such a gorgeous dramatic actor - him cracking up really spoiled the absurd drama for me...
The reveal of the hen waiting for him outside of prison had me inexplicably laughing so hard 😂
Briana Macias In a scarf and sunglasses even! 😂
that moment with her just sitting there nonchalantly with the fucking ridiculous disguise kills me to this day
I watched it Live the first time and I keep coming back to this video for that one shot.
When he gets out of prison he’s wearing a knitted scarf that I assume is the one Henrietta was knitting earlier and that’s actually really sweet 🥺
Well, as long as you ignore the fact that means it was probably also supposed to be for the farmer she accidentally killed lol.
such a nice detail lol
3:24 When you're trying to pull a gun from Ryan Gosling's butt, but you have chicken wings for hands
I can relate. Happened to me twice last week.
it's a constant struggle
Rachel Trainor lol what?
Sounds like every woman's nightmare.
Hell, I hope she smacked it, maybe pinched a cheek before grabbing the gun.
This sketch was so weird but so hilarious.
The SNL writers were like "what's the best way to make Ryan laugh throughout an entire skit?" "Oh I know, we put Aidy in a chicken costume!"
And another excuse for a female cast member to fondle his butt. SNL has a history of objectifying male movie stars. A fine tradition.
@@michaeladkins6 Really?? Wow! Tell us more! You see, women wouldn't know anything about sexual objectification on SNL...
@@karinpowers1018what? That's a chicken
Writer: "Hey Aidy, you wanna play Ryan's love interest?"
Aidy: "Hell yes!"
Writer: "OK there's a catch..."
😂😂😂😂
Aidy does the best voices I can't breathe 😂😂😂😂
"It's not just paint. It's Farrow and Ball Col-loor."
The character breaking is strong with this one
Mister Nelson I guess this is why they don't let Gosling do comedies
Krombopulos Michael have you not seen The Nice Guys? It's awesome. This sketch was not. But thats not his fault. It's SNL. It always sucks.
Krombopulos Michael Ryan Gosling has starred in several comedies and he's great in all of them
*Yes.... use your laughter....*
This might be one of the most endearing and hilarious sketches in recent years. It's just so effortlessly charming and stupid all at once.
This was surprisingly heartbreaking for some reason when aidey asks the police about the egg beaters on airplanes :(
she's a tremendously talented actor!
you mean egg heaters right?
@@fluor6614 haha auto correct :P
It's been three years and your comment still says "egg beaters" instead of "egg heaters".
@@StormeFyah876Ah come on, it’s way too funny to correct. Plus someone already mentioned the typo in the comments so it’d be pointless.
Why nobody mentioned the music. The music was so perfect.
It is 🥰
I was looking for a comment about the music, it was perfect.
and the scenery of the prison. gave me old-movie vibes instantly
( on the final scene of the sketch but still)
what did I just watch and why did I find it funny
I am asking myself the same question.
KillaSin515 We all are...😐
You watched a skit that employed ironic humor plus some vintage kitsch plus two hysterical comedians to very good effect, like a great chocolate cake recipe.
Weirdest sketch ever lol
+MsLogjam chocolate cake makes for a logjam
Aidy's tolerance for embarrassment is amazing, I love her
''henrietta whyyyyy"😂😂😂
The end made it all worth it.
BARCELONA!!!!
If this had really been an old movie I would own this on dvd.
Think you meant VHS
I would wait for the Criterion edition
That chicken was still alive 20 years later. Pretty sure she's a goddess.
I was already dying when Henrietta was waiting for him outside the prison - but I flatlined when her head scarf fell off. 🤣
Do you LIKE that, Mr. Dilham??
Mary S 😂😂😂classic sketch
NO! MY MOM'S A BITCH!
She finally got him💅🏻💅🏻💅🏻
When I saw “twenty years later” I was really afraid he was going to get served chicken nuggets in prison and then realize it was her. I’m really glad that wasn’t the ending😅
i wish theyd done that
2 arms... with hands
SHE WAITED FOR HIM!!!
Royal Silva that's real love right there
Idiot hen 😁
I love the chemistry between these two. They always bring out the best, in each other.
If I had a boyfriend I would make him be the fugitive to my Henrietta this Halloween. I guess having an idea like that explains why I'm single in the first place.
EllaEnchanted especially with a brother. Even though I do love chicken. Lol
haha 😂
Nope, there is a guy out there born to appreciate your great sense of humor! 😹 to me: most important trait in a partner!
Find that man, and hold him tight.
If he'll do this for you he's a keeper & I don't see why it's an unusual request. Being able to laugh with someone is vital, hope you found your fugitive.
4:09 HENRIETTA, WHY?!?
That claw was perfect
Love that part.
Much breaking in this sketch, but I love it!
Idk why but I love when they break so much more!
It's even funnier when they break.
When I see that it seems to me that the actor actually thinks what they're all doing is really funny; they're not just "acting" haha if that makes any sense
They've been doing it all the time lately
breakings the best part imo
SNL:” So Ryan, we have this idea. It’s about an old-Hollywood fugitive and a chicken.”
Ryan: “Say no more, fam.”
*This* is a perfect example of why Ryan needs to host SNL as often as possible!
Wish he could again, ASAP!! He was just in a really popular movie, recently! (💖 u, writers! 💞✊🏼)
He is next month! :D
@@atwoodsmariano Really? That's fantastic!!
I'd love to know how this went down in the writers' pitch meeting beforehand. "Ok, picture this...Ryan as a conflicted drifter, who falls in love with a chicken..."
Take a shot every time Ryan Gosling breaks character on SNL
175 people now dead...
But I don't want to die.
I'd watch this if it were a movie.
Newzong Lee There is, check BoJack Horseman, episode named ,,chicken" or something like that
If Aidy's in the sketch, no matter how badly it's written, she always makes me laugh!!
Burrrrcelona (scarf falls off literally at the PERFECT time LOL)
The old Hollywood accents in this were so damn good. Like Beck talking about the wife... Holy crap.
Ryan is easily one of the best host ever
Ok the shades and scarf took me out!🤣🤣🤣
"You think I don't know anything cause I fumble with my wings!" AIDY LOL
Someone was on coke while writing this
mosfer: Coke? This screams "LSD!"
Clearly you’ve never done coke
Nah, Julio Torres is just like that, check out his stand up
😂😂😂😂😂😂I’m dead
I can't believe somehow that was actually funny.
This was so weird. Gosling and Aidy's breaking saved it though.
Ok the breaking was funny, sure, but part of the reason they broke was because the premise was so ridiculous it was funny. The disguised chicken gag at the end was enough to make Ryan crack, so it's not like it wasn't funny on it's own and necessarily needed saving. Shit, Kenan's 10 second performance alone made it hilarious.
This was so funny and creative! I died of laughter when they reunite 20 years later and especially with the way she was dressed.
“BaaaAaAaaAaAARcelona”
😂
EVERY SINGLE SKIT WITH RYAN GOSLING IS HILARIOUS!!!
I'M DYING OVER HERE!!!!!!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
When she can't grab the gun. I died hahah
The end made it all work.
never realized i needed this
amen
😂
I loved it when Aidy's scarf fell off 😂
I love these ridiculous sketches. They are hysterical. It's like watching old Carol Burnett episodes.
Keenan's: "Henrietta nooo!!" was so funny
Still a more satisfying ending than La La Land
What the cluck
Naima Zaheer 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
This is when I fell in love with Aidy. Omg. I'm laughing my head off.
I don't know why this made me laugh so hard. Its inexplicable.
Their laughter throughout the skit made it that much funnier 🤣
This made me hardcore cackle, waking up the whole dang house
I found this completely absurd, and I loved every second of it. Home run - weird and hilarious.
THIS IS TOO SAD I CAN'T STAND IT BUT CAN'T STOP LAUGHING! 😭😂
I can't even say how much I love Aidy!
Also her and Ryan had major chemistry with each other.
Instant classic - best skit in a long, long time
i always come back to this sketch when i'm sad and it makes me so happy
he's so cute when hes breaking
Chicken after 20 years is even more hilarious 😂😂😂
I love that they can't stop laughing!
That was so well done. Ryan was perfect and his breaking character was epic. 10 out of 10.
The way Ryan said "I'm sorry" cracked me up and made me remember those times when I watched "Young Hercules". He smiled like that a lot there. My silly fangirl inside was really happy.
Ryan gosling cracked so many times that night
The body language is pure 40s, as is the lighting, the delivery, and do on
I love Aidy and Ryan in skits together #TeamRaidy
The "Sharknado" of sketches. It's SO BAD, It's good !!
Cant imagine what goes through the screenwriters head when they write this stuff 😂
😂😂😂😘😘😘😘😘TY we needed this
mercedes gomez I
we didn't know we needed this, but here we are 😂
mercedes gomez yes. I was in tears.
your last name is mercedes?
mercedes gomez lmao
Aidy looks so cute in a hen costume. 😄
My foolish heart wants them to be together! 😂❤️
this was absolutely stupid. but thats what made it great ;)
pinazee Sometimes when the intention is to make it stupid that's the very thing that ends up making it great.
I thought it was stupid too, but on the other hand, it was sort of stupid cute.
That was way funnier and enjoyable than it ought to have been. She makes a great chicken. Adorable!
I don't know why I found that 'I'm sorry' sexy and funny as hell at the same time 😂😂😂😍😍
Best skit ever !! ending is phenomenal !!!! laughed my head off !!!
this is one of my fave sketches but it seems like not a lot of people like it lol
Those two can never keep a straight face together... LOVE IT!!! 💕
All of Ryan Gosling SNL Skit is so freaking adorable and hilarious :D
I love Aidy and Ryan skits. Love watching them hold in laughter
I fell off my bed laughing when her scarf came off. I have no idea why this was so hilarious
I died when Ryan tried not to laugh lol!!
How did Aidy manage to craft a voice that was the perfect blend of chicken and silver screen startlet?
This is too good 😂
Still a better love story than twilight
😂 sorry I had to
I thought that when I saw the ending 😂😂
Definitely
Ryan is the best thing ever
I think they wrote this just so Ryan would break honestly
5:37 EPIC FAIL
Baby, you played them like a fiddle 😂😅😂
Aidy is the absolute best at improvising lines "you think i don't know anything because i fumbled with my wings"
i love how this all fell apart at the end.
I wish Hollywood could still make good parody movies. Who wouldn't want serious actor Ryan Gosling, playing it straight in a Mel Brookes style crime spoof?
Baby Driver who?
Ah yes, the famous scene in Baby Driver where his chicken girlfriend pulls a gun from his butt
ellaisplotting ????
The last scene where he leaves the jail is a reference to Baby Driver
Meh! At The Disco well I got that
oops sorry
This was hilarious. Love Aidy
She'd only need an egg heater for fertilized eggs, which means she'd been two timing him too! 🤣
Aidy and Ryan are so great together - in this skit and others. They should do a movie together.
"How do you come up with this stuff" was a thought in my brain the moment it was said in the sketch.
