I like when the Scouts and not Sailor Moon got to destroy the monsters at the end which was extremely rare. It proved that scout's attacks were just as powerful as Sailor Moon's
That's not true remember when Raye first awakened as Sailor Mars she destroyed the monster sent by Jedite that was ruining the reputation of her temple home and during the Heart snatchers battles at the end of the first episode the monster was destroyed by Uranus and Neptune's attacks.
The scouts were amazing here. They just kept giving it to us; one strike after another. Very fierce, powerful, and exhilarating. I always get the same charge from this scene as I did when I was a kid watching it.
One thing that I liked about this episode not only seeing Amy,Raye,Lita and Mina come back to help but also seeing Raye and Mina combine they're attacks to destroy the Cardian it reminded me a lot of the episodes of Sailor Moon where Amy and Raye did the samething combining they're attacks with Sailor Moon's Moon Tiara attack which if I remember correctly was in the episodes where the Negaverse took control of a fairy tale themed park and the second time was when the girls fought 2 monsters that mimiced Mercury and Mars' attacks and sadly we never saw them do that again after the Doom Tree series.
I used to rewind the crap out of this fight. Mercury concealed them and their moves while blinding the monster. Jupiter tased and stun-locked her in one place to keep her from berserking. Mars and Venus cannoned her, as without Sailor Moon it would take their combined power to light her up completely. While they had their moments later, I always considered the first half of Sailor Moon R their sort of "raw power" season. Two episodes later they worked another monster down almost the same and went in hard but failed against Ali and Ann toward the end.
@@saranguyen2788 technically they're all best friends but Serena and Raye have a special bond despite how much they insult and fight with each other Lol
Considering this dubbed version came out back in 1995 it was different but the English adaptions now do say “make-up” as well as the use of the original Japanese names.
It was the 90s the show was riding the coat tail of the success of power rangers and multi colored super heroes. They wanted the girls to appeal to not just girls but boys too. Make up would have been to feminine for a show trying to Target 8-12 year old boys.

@@nicholasmorsovillo2752 But it's certainly rare. The series has 200 episodes and the ones with monters not defeated by Sailor Moon are less than 10.

One of my favorite “saving serena” moments
Definitely my fave. I get teary eyed watching it
@Mark Yancey I thought that only happened to me: get slightly emotional at *extremely* climatic displays of power!
The voice actress for the Cardian could SCREAM!

The dic dub version of sailor moon will always be my favorite.

Where can I find all the episodes with Terry Hawks voice
The editing was unnecessary but otherwise was okay. DIC dub is the best dub.

Whose the one that rescues Sailor Moon from the air? Was that Mars or Venus?
It was Mars I had to look extra closely and you can see she don't have a bow on her hair
@@minxelfin Also, she's Serena's best friend. She would be the first to do anything for her
@@minxelfin thanks! Good eye!

"Make Up!"
I just don't understand why they can't just say make up in the English dub for the transformations.

@@mstack08 That would be the Viz Media dub version since that dub was basically the "Japanese-English" re-dub, in a sense.

I had forgotten how corny the dub is...
