Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter are named after the other four elements (water, metal, fire, wood respectively) and you can see this playing into their Sailor Moon counterparts quite well. Why this is I still don't know but I'd like to find out. Sailor Saturn seems to be more based off Saturn from Roman myth. He's the God of harvest and carries a scythe. Festivals honouring him celebrates the end of life after the final harvest to allow new life to come next spring, kinda like destruction and rebirth.
I always imagine the enemies just sitting there for literal minutes waiting for the girls to transform. There's got to be an animation of that somewhere. Side note, totally wish I had the power of perfectly applied lipstick magically manifesting on my face.
If they have no time manipulation to hasten their transformation/stop time during transformation and / or protective shieldomg, the horror it is if they face spellbreakers that stops them from completing the transformation.
What I love is how the kept the same movements as from the 90’s when the outer planets transformed. From the way the women flipped their hair to them getting lipgloss.~ FLAWLESS.~

Whenever they rebooted, sometimes they either add on which loses the original purpose, or they lack from the 90’s if they ever reboot an anime from that generation. But like I said, SOME not all of the reboots cuz there were some that were good if not better. One very good example Fruits Basket~ Urusei Yatsura. Again, I am just going off of the examples I have watched.~ This is just my opinion though. I was super, super nervous when I saw they were rebooting Sailor Moon cuz I’m a 90’s gal and when someone disrespects what you watched making it almost a laughingstock you take the next anime you see with critical eyes if that makes sense.
I always wanted to see solo missions with just the outer scouts. Like Serenity gives them a task and they have a strike squad sort of mission. That as a series would be dope

And now this year in June we finally getting stars arc animated in all its glory- (Sailor Cosmos and Sailor Chaos- im excited for anime debut of these two,.. and also other things like wedding at the end).😻

Not gonna lie, I was smiling like a little girl seeing Outer Planet's transformation being re-animated. BUT I have a nitpick... I kinda wished they added more to it - more transitions, more drama, etc. All in all, I was happy to see they really gave their 90s transformation justice.

Anyone else absolutely love the OST here? I never expected a homage to the original, rather something alot more cutesy but this PUMPS! the hint toward the video game Saturn henshin rocks too. I hope I'm not the only outer senshi nut who is very content with this 👌👌
I love that the transformations and attack length is just for the viewer, imagine hearing Uranus crystal power and all that light around one person whilst saying her finishing pose then she rushes out with world shaking meanwhile it’s rushing at you…. Pep-ridge farms remembas….

The animation in the original was far superior! The animators for the 90’s understood women anatomy so well that they had no flaw in the animation process. Every curve and dent was perfectly hand drawn. This is using CGI… it looks great still and the transformation is awesome. The music is just epic too!
the weird anatomy has to do more with the fact that they based all more accurate to the manga, which had a really specific style with really long limbs
Naoko Takeuchi, the manga artist who wrote Sailor Moon, really wanted this remake to be a faithful adaptation of her manga this time around, including the graphic style. It's no secret that she was not a big fan of the original series from the 90s, and she often complained in the manga about the numerous liberties taken by TOEI's screenwriters, and about the fact she couldn't do anything about it back then. That's why Sailor Moon Crystal was postponed many times: Takeuchi had a say in every decision, and from what I've heard, she was a major pain in the neck the whole time.
I can't put into words just how AMAZING the music is here, it's on par and maybe even better than the iconic 90s violin themes. The Outers have always gotten the best music, it fits them really well here. Really brings up the intensity and then ethereal touch really adds a lot to it. Love the transformations, they finally fixed Neptune's hands during her pose which has always bugged me in the 90s and Crystal. I'm so happy Saturn finally got a real transformation, just wish it could've been more. I understand the themes in reference to her being reborn with it but wish it could've been longer and more movement since it's so short compared to the others. The Outers finally also got a proper group transformation. Sailor Moon Eternal so far is the best adaption from the Crystal retelling and not that it was hard to top the really bad SuperS but they went for it. Excited for Sailor Moon Cosmos, I'm so ready for Sailor Galaxia.
I don’t like this compared to the violin theme at all. I felt like the softness and almost delicate sound of the violin was a great compliment to how powerful they were. Really sad to find they’ve changed it.
I loved that they kept the original sound effects from the 90’s anime. I always get fucking CHILLS when that whine effect is used as the winds of time engulf Pluto 😭 ❤

You aren't likely to have a prequel on Sailor Venus or Queen Serenity unfortunately. Naoko Takeuchi and her editor (Osa-P) adapted to make a popular 5 team style instead and shifted their focus from Sailor V
seems like you have missed an arc. Sailor moon has 5 arcs this is the 4th one, there are 3 seasons of anime before it Sailor moon Crystal 1-2 and III Saturn's story is pretty big in sailor moon Crystal III

I wish she'd had even darker skin. Somewhere between this and Yuroichi from Bleach. It would have been more accurate to the manga.

I don’t watch Sailor Moon, but I have to admit this was a pretty epic scene!!
The animation in the original was far superior! The animators for the 90’s understood women anatomy so well that they had no flaw in the animation process. Every curve and dent was perfectly hand drawn.
This is using CGI… it looks great still and the transformation is awesome. The music is just epic too!
the weird anatomy has to do more with the fact that they based all more accurate to the manga, which had a really specific style with really long limbs
Naoko Takeuchi, the manga artist who wrote Sailor Moon, really wanted this remake to be a faithful adaptation of her manga this time around, including the graphic style.
It's no secret that she was not a big fan of the original series from the 90s, and she often complained in the manga about the numerous liberties taken by TOEI's screenwriters, and about the fact she couldn't do anything about it back then.
That's why Sailor Moon Crystal was postponed many times: Takeuchi had a say in every decision, and from what I've heard, she was a major pain in the neck the whole time.

I can't put into words just how AMAZING the music is here, it's on par and maybe even better than the iconic 90s violin themes. The Outers have always gotten the best music, it fits them really well here. Really brings up the intensity and then ethereal touch really adds a lot to it.
Love the transformations, they finally fixed Neptune's hands during her pose which has always bugged me in the 90s and Crystal. I'm so happy Saturn finally got a real transformation, just wish it could've been more. I understand the themes in reference to her being reborn with it but wish it could've been longer and more movement since it's so short compared to the others. The Outers finally also got a proper group transformation. Sailor Moon Eternal so far is the best adaption from the Crystal retelling and not that it was hard to top the really bad SuperS but they went for it.
Excited for Sailor Moon Cosmos, I'm so ready for Sailor Galaxia.
I don’t like this compared to the violin theme at all. I felt like the softness and almost delicate sound of the violin was a great compliment to how powerful they were. Really sad to find they’ve changed it.
The original is still there for you to enjoy lol

You aren't likely to have a prequel on Sailor Venus or Queen Serenity unfortunately. Naoko Takeuchi and her editor (Osa-P) adapted to make a popular 5 team style instead and shifted their focus from Sailor V

I like their English voices. Saturn might be a little "old" sounding but it doesn't bother me. Some people are that way. :)

Mas pode ser que depois de Eternal, a Toei tenha colocado como regra ter esse honoríficos

I was gonna say the opposite. The animation is a far cry from the original, not to say it has to resemble the original. But just in terms of animation fluidity, drawing quality, etc.
@@MrBurkistan seeing that they are making it closely related to the anime, they are by far the most original we can get. The 90s series are iconic but nowhere near the Crystal/Eternal in accuracy.
