Roland V-Drums TD-07KV Kit Overview

- Since 1997, V-Drums have aimed to deliver the most natural, most authentic drumming experience from an electronic drum set possible.
No question that acoustic drums have their place-but the loud noise and space they take up is often the biggest issue for any drummer, as well as their family and neighbours. Acoustic drums are the benchmark by which all other drums are measured, and the TD-07KV seeks to deliver the same playing experience faithfully, only with much less noise and by taking up less space than a regular acoustic drum set.
The high-quality sounds inside the TD-07KV begin by capturing acoustic instruments in the highest detail. Super-fast response and processing of drumming input are combined with behaviour modelling software-Roland’s unique technology that allows the smooth, expressive and dynamic response of sound that follows the drummer’s input.
The result is an electronic drum set that captures every stick hit of the drummer’s playing, no matter how delicate and nuanced, and the corresponding sound that follows is not only correct but the transition between tones is natural and smooth for ultimate realism, just as you would expect from acoustic drums.
The TD-07KV also contains tools and connectivity that makes drumming at home easily accessible. Bluetooth technology allows streaming of audio from devices into the module for wireless playing to songs and video. A metronome and coach function allow every drummer to practice playing to time- the most essential drumming skill-while also tracking progress and making it fun with game-like scoring and accuracy measurement. The TD-07KV is also a recording interface and sound module in one. By connecting it to a computer via USB cable, the TD-07KV can send stereo audio and MIDI data directing to a DAW, for instant and easy home recording and live streaming.
The TD-07KV offers a high-quality, realistic drumming experience in a compact and affordable drum set that’s ideal for playing at home, backed by years of technological development and the reliable, durable build quality that V-Drums is renowned for.

This is one of the BEST videos ever helping one understand every basic aspect ... the teacher is EXCELLENT in his ability to communicated clearly and effectively .... GREAT JOB .... probably going to purchase ... keep the great videos coming!!
Thank you so much! 🧡
Where’s 65 drums when you need him
My 64 Singerland and my 68 Ludwig out perform and sound better than any set I’ve heard. When playing with big name groups and musicians they preferred using my double set with Attack Heads and all 7 ZILDJIANS.
Awesome starting kit.
You really sold the set with the Rosanna groove at the end :) Sounds great!
Great set up, I’m definitely thinking of getting one, but why no bell on the ride?
Awesome!
Still kicking out those plastic rimmed toms?
TD-11 on the 2nd hand market is still a good buy :)
Better cymbals, larger floor tom on TD11 but this looks like a nicer module. In appearance anyway.
Great job 👏
Hello Roland ! When realese new SPD drums ?!
This kit looks and plays really groovy,my Tiger tail is high.
Is this kit always meant to be set up as a 2-up 1-down kit, with the module off to the the left of the hats? In other words, does the wiring loom only allow for this configuration? If I wanted to use it as a 1-up 1-down kit, and then use the third tom pad as second snare to the left of the hats (roughly where the module goes), is it possible to mount the module on the opposite side next to the floor tom?
Is it possible to record each drum onto a different track when recording audio from the module into a DAW via the USB output or audio out? Or is the audio from the USB or audio out stereo only?
Does anyone know if the kit (particularly the snare) used by Greg Bisonnette on the DLR Band album is in the voice list?
Hmm not bad. Kinda like the blue tooth idea. Might save up for next year and the price point is not bad!
Hello, is it possible to change the sound of the ride, instead of it being crash to put a bell?
very good video greetings!
Got that Roseanna groove down perfect! lol. I had a set of TD-3's but sold them a few years back and have been looking for a similar new set. I think these are what I need, although will definitely need another dual zone cymbal. Will the TD-07 support adding that?
Yes. There's support for one extra crash or ride bell sound.
When it will be available in India?
& Approx Price?
Hi! Will be 64 ohm headphones good, and have enough volume, or i need go with 32 ohm for TD-07 module? Tnx!
Does it have force detection? Like, will I hit it at 50% of my power (lol) and get one noise, 60% a louder noise, 70% and so on? Or does it all have the same noise? I'm trying to decide between an electric and acoustic, and this is sort of the deciding factor for me, does anyone know?
It is velocity sensitive and has different sounds depending on how hard you hit and not just lowered/increased volume of the same sound, yes
Is this kit expandable? Like can i add extra ride or cymbal?
When this kit will be available in UAE? Any idea?
Will TD1 kits fall in resale price after releasing this one?
Hello, can I upgrade the kit and then connect the hit hat with the foot of another module?
Can I record to my iPhone ? Similar to how you record when using an irig?
How easy is to put this drum away, after using it? Context - I live in an apartment which is not too big, so I kinda have a lack of common area space and wished to store the drums after I have finished using them
how do these work via midi and vst? is latency noticable?
Can you add an additional cymbal?
Could someone fix his kick drum? It wobbles a little when used
Why you hiding the prices on your website!!
I have a problem with my hi-hat. The hi hat has a delay when opening and closing it fast. Does anybody know a solution? I have the same kit td 07.
Can we assign cymbals sounds to any of the tom?
Quick question how to achieve the cross stick on this kit?
Any idea of how much the td-07kv module would cost ?? Currently have the Td1dmk & I’m thinking of switching the module.
Get a drum VST instead
I don't understand why it's such a big deal to make the drum pads larger ... 6 inches is so small .. Does it really take that much more material and resources to mimic the sizes of real drums? I just ordered some and I know that's probably going to be one of the biggest things I'm going to have to get used to.
Hi! Which is better, TD-07KV or TD-11K or TD-11KV ? Thank you.
ANyone have a good recommendation for a kick to use, seeing as the set doesnt come with a drum kick?! any help is appreciated thank you. great video by the way
He looks huge for that kit haha
Single zone and no kick pedal for THAT PRICE?... Idk if go Alesis Surge or wait for better models this year
Just buyed the TD-1DMK and still got in trouble with neighbours cause of the kicking niose.......maybe gotta buy this Kickpad to get them quiet.......sigh
@prawnsdrumchannel - I did but I also heard that they dont last that long.....
How to record by using Mac book?? and can i add one more cymbal? Thanks
Can you compare it with Roland TD-1MKV?
is really roland the best e drum brand in terms of quality and sound?
It is 🙌🏻🤷🏻♂️
it actually is yes, this module doesnt sound good though - the TD17 was the best module using these sounds
@@PEP. yes, but different price point... 🤷🏻♂️
@@Nikoo033 yes butRoland has the most reliable quality Drums
Most of Japanese brands are pretty great quality. 👌🏼
When you hook it up to your computer, are the drums separated in the DAW? Like kick on one channel, snare on another channel, etc...or does it all come through one stereo track?
Stereo track, if you want multitrack recording you’ll need something like the TD-27 or TD-50
@@jadonchacon Unless you are recording midi.
@@Jellybeantiger that is true
@@Jellybeantiger would this mean that you have to use your own drum sounds?
you would just have to manually separate the drums to diff. Channels once recorded?
Actually I take that back, because it’s midi you have the freedom of changing the sound to any sound. So I’m thinking once they come through midi, you can copy and paste each sound to a separate track..
How can I set up the blue tooth
With they made a td07dmk video
Where can i buy it ?
So the bell of the bride cannot be played??
Can the module be connected to PA for playing gigs?
would like to know this as well cause that's a deal breaker to me.
Yes, all edrums can be.
Rosanna 😉
I can't believe those toms are single zone? At this price point they should have deffinately made them dual zone.
But it sounds good.
A 2nd hand td11kv is a better deal.
Bruhhh how much thooooo
$1000.00
Why is this video so FREAKING DARK?? I can't even see the kit! C'mon marketing team - don't you want me to see your product??
You’re blind pro max
At home... If you live in a individual house or a foot street house, all right, I buy your argument, but if you live with neighbors you need an isolated room or a isolated sistem under all the drum set, because the vibrations are very annoying for they, I talk for my own experience, and write this for advertise to the posible people are interested in this tipe of drums for "home".
And ROLAND, please make a cheap floor isolated sistem for the buyers what live with neighbors, and say it in your ads, otherwise your publicy are wrong for a lot of persons.
Thanks..
Cute hair
How in heck can you play on 6 inch pads I know it's compact but come on
todos los pads deberian ser de doble zona.
Haha that pornhub reference at the end was davie504 inspired. Haha.
Great concept and idea but those PDX pads are awful to play. You could easily replace them with a PDX 100.
"You could easily replace them with a PDX 100." How do you know?
@@ShrekSwag how do u know he knows
@@ShrekSwag I've done it. It's easy.
@@ShrekSwag Well, I know because I used to own a kit with a similar configuration (1 PDX8 and 3 PDX6) and I got tired of accidentally hitting that stupid plastic ring they have. So I replaced all the pads with PDX-100. Bigger playing surface and feeling.
@@chezchezchezchez ur wrong
Just not the same sound. I guess ok for practice. I’ve tried top of the line sets like this. It always sound like hitting on practice pads. I prefer Ludwig or Singerland only. All the other sets just can not duplicate the sound most drummers require.
思ったより価格が高い...🤔
It's respect. I'm drum check it? Excuse me. I'm Japanese.
You are good drummer! I love demon slayer :D
I heard a lot of talking what about the drums well they sound like. This video is a waste of time
lol those tiny fucking toms have an inner plastic rim? is that a joke? why?
Comment section is full of whingers.
Sounds great, too small. Get it right if you want our money.
the natural sounds of the snare drum are terrible, they all sound weak and plastic. Nothing to do with the old td-7 and I'm a Roland fan, a shame!
Talking talking talking talking 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Td 17 is better
So what you’re saying is this is nothing special and if anything feels and sounds cheap. Got it
what a steaming pile...please dont show me a td-1 and try to make it look like a td-27 ..lol
Lifeless sounds - even on their flagship drums. Roland is not really innovating with edrums anymore. I would like exact detection of location, angle of impact, sliding recognition (brushes), across all the drums, and then very importantly have all the sounds triggered like a synth. Similar to their pianos (which sound great), the sound should be generated from scratch, as opposed to triggering separate sounds.
