Hi! Great Tuts Man! A very important question form me: ¿Is it possible to make high quality cars with C4D for Unreal Engine? The question is aimed to the reason that C4D has no Smoothing Groups (has Phong tags), that are not recognized in some baking programs, like Substance, to bake normal maps effciently. I don't like at all 3DS Max, and have the possibility to deliver some models but I'm with alot of doubts concerning the posibilities of C4D workflow in a real game pipeline. The main problem converning high and low res meshes for the baking process. Thank you so much for your answer!
You dont need smoothing groups you can add support edge loop to control weither and edge is soft or sharp, u dont need phong tags either make your high poly the way i told you and make ur low poly, then bake them anywhere you like.
