That's the most lucky thing of all: Pink Floyd's stuff doesn't get blocked for reactors. Almost everyone of these reaction channels built their channels in the beginning with Queen and Pink Floyd. You'll notice however that after awhile, Queen's studio album stuff started getting blocked, unless there was an "official video" that went with it. UA-cam started pushing reactors into live versions of the music only.
Agreed please listen to the whole album if you can’t do it on a reaction side one then side two do it off line. The songs interconnect and the whole is so much greater than the sum of its parts. Your reaction shows you would definitely appreciate the connections💕😎💕

Now I am a 63 year old woman with COPD and when it says, "shorter of breath and one day closer to death", I think "man, when I was 16 years old listening to this I never imagined it would be like this". It's all good though. I have a lot to be grateful for and try to maintain an attitude of gratitude. Since one of my children passed I have to get up every day and literally choose life...but I do. When this album came out, I was a little girl. My parents’ stereo speakers were much bigger than me, and they’d play this album all the time. It was terrifying, exhilarating, and emotional all at once. LOVE Pink Floyd and got to see them in the Astrodome in 1987. But as a three/four year old, it was overwhelming and scary. 😃This song and Breathe still make my heart race in remembrance when those first notes begin. Now it’s bittersweet nostalgia that I feel more than anything. Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon is an EXPERIENCE, an act, a verb, that swallows you up and makes you reborn. It never gets old.
I'm a 66-year-old Londoner who saw this debuted at Earls Court, West London with 18,000 others in 1973 for £1....and now the last 47 years have flown by, my friend...
Thanks, My Friend. As a Londoner in The 1970's I saw many Concerts but that was some quartet of Concerts in quick succession back then. Pink Floyd £1 @ Earls Court, West London followed by Led Zeppelin at Wembley Arena for 75 Pence and then 2 separate Concerts at The Royal Albert Hall in S W London when I saw Deep Purple and soon after Creedence Clearwater Revival for 25 Pence each...lol 4 Concerts for £2.25 or just under $3......lol
Thanks, My Friend. Deep Purple and CCR were because we turned up for whichever Concert at The Royal Albert Hall was first and all 5,000 tickets had gone but they allowed us up to the top tier, on the night, known as "The Gods" so as it worked we tried the same trick for the second gig with a similar result :) Led Zep charged nearly $250 Dollars for a Re-Union with Bonham Junior on Drums in around 2010 in London so I got incredible value but.......I did not go ( to my eternal regret). It was a stupid mistake.I did not drive in S E London. It was in NW London. It was pouring of ain. My Football (soccer) team lost at home on that Saturday and on the way back to the market over which I lived then, a local fishmonger accidentally threw boiling hot water over my jeans/legs and until 5 years ago I still had the ticket which is how I knew it was 75 pence or $1. I never did see them so take every chance my friend as the opportunity does not always come round again !
@@Isleofskye Thanks for sharing man, that's nuts lol, and that sucks that you couldn't go to that Zep concert man, I always imagined what it would be like to watch Zep and Floyd in their prime. I saw the Roger Waters The Wall tour in LA but I can't imagine what it was like in the 70s 80s lol
My brother in law was murdered a few years back and this song is etched on his head stone. It's timeless. Deep. Beautiful. Even sober as a rock - I find myself closing my eyes and just swaying to the musical interludes. That is the vibe.
Doesn't matter when you figure it out, as long as you do right by everyone you meet. Enjoy your youth son. I'm so glad I became a Patron. Keep on keepin on my man!
I am 49 and Pink Floyd has been my favorite band since 1985. They have gotten me through some major dark times in my life. In 1986 I started collecting anything I could get my hands on from them. I still have a framed gold record of Darkside of the moon. I got it in 1987 and its hanging proudly in my guitar room. It sounds funny but if I could have one wish, it would be to meet and give David Gilmour a hug and thank him for all the memories and journey's he took me on 🙏
@craig 22 because it's one of the greatest vocals in history. That's the point, that's why it's reacted to. Reacting isn't about finding something nobody has reacted to. It's about experiencing the younger generations discovering the great artists that we love.
You jus don't listen to pink floyd, you become one with them in their music and go on that journey. Pink floyd is a vibe that'll never end. Listen to all albums
I'm new to your channel man. Great stuff. This one got me though. What you said about this year, and how we need time to stop to regroup and move on had be in tears. Not been a good year for us, but you gave it a purpose and a sense of hope. Thank you.
This album spent 714 consecutive weeks on the Billboard top 200 between March of 1973 and April of '88 before it finally slipped below position number 200. It now sits at 950 weeks on the top 200. More than any other album.
If you ever get the chance, find either the LP or CD of The Album “Dark Side of the Moon” and take the 2 hours or so to listen to it from beginning to end. It is one hell of an emotional ride and an experience. Same for “The Wall”. These are both Album oriented in how they were produced, each song a movement of the whole.
Best band to come out of England ever! There is no other band that you can listen to that makes you feel so much emotion in one song. Every song from front to back on “Dark side of the moon” album is a story. The album was designed to be played from start to finish. It is a life changing experience when you hear it like that. ✌️
You paused during the guitar solo... a David Gilmour guitar solo. This is a crime of the century. Speaking of Crime of the Century, I recommend you listen to the band Supertramp.
I agree completely... He's been avoiding Alice's Restaurant... (Probably too scarey...) Don't think he likes to be frightened. Won't go near Hell broke Luce by that Tom... Wait(s) ether😁
Now you need black light posters and a room full of tie dye like the rest of us who really got into Pink Floyd.. turn the lights off and trip out. Haha.. They're great chill music.
I decided to hit play at the moment. I know why. This song hit home. Your commentary is very reflective of 2020. It reminded me how important the journey is not the destination. Mr. V you are ready now not 10 years ago. Why? You are ready now! 2020 has taught all of us what is really important in our lives. No distractions. Thanks for this reaction in particular today. 😪🙏
This song always gets to me man. It's one of those songs that actually makes you think about life and if you've been doing what you promised yourself you would do. To whoever is reading this, it's never too late to start on your dreams even if you have 30 minutes or 1 hour a day. No one's going to tell you when to run.
Sometimes you don’t need words. Dude, your body said everything. I’ve heard this song hundreds of times before and still I prep. I smoke a lot too and opening up to react to songs like these is why I tune in. Regardless of genre you just switch off and tune in. Love it mate. From a friend in Newcastle UK
Pink Floyd were masters at concept albums. They were pure art. They grasped at, embraced, manipulated, and thoroughly KNEW your soul in ways you can't imagine. The connection was almost always simple melody. When you dive deeper into the lyrics, you are lost and found at the same time. Welcome to the world of stoner rock. You will love it here. Next up, you should bend your ears to some Kyuss or Queens of the Stone Age. Trust me. Oh, and Monster Magnet!
PF is a whole other level of Mastery, Laid back is the way it is meant to be Enjoyed, but through a good Sound System with some 200 watt Speakers up to at least 80% is the Perfect Experience. 👊 Great re-do though Brother.
Been waiting for this reaction, was definitely worth the wait! It'd be dope if you rewatched some of your old videos when you weren't weren't wearing headphones. I'd recommend Free Bird especially since you didn't have headphones and it was a live performance! Keep it up!
The older you get, the faster time goes by, and then...it's over, and you find yourself wishing for just a little more time, wondering where it went, and regretting all the things you didn't do.
My Favorite Band, What a great Experience discovering them as a young child in the 70's... What everyone seems to forget or neglect to say is that they were all either born during or conceived during World War 2, 1943 and 1945, Most of us couldn't imagine how that would affect our expression or appreciation of life, Lose yourself in your soul searching, There'll never be another like them
If I could sing like anyone on the planet it would be this woman. Pink Floyd "The Great Gig in the Sky" SOUL in her voice. This one is priority over anything I have suggested. ❤️ The song I'm talking about above is right after this song you just reviewed. They give her the floor. It's all alone freestyle.
I have this album on my phone. It is before my time too, but I LOVE IT!!!! There are few albums that I can just hit PLAY and listen until the end...especially with today's music. But this album is one of the few that I can let play. PLEASE listen to the whole album. Maybe do a reaction to the whole album. IT IS WORTH IT!!! LOVE your reaction videos ;)

Pink Floyd expands your mind and your emotions.
"hanging on in desperation"" good stuff especially on a Sunday evening here. Why are Sundays such a reflection of your life time.😢
The night before the grind begins again. Every week it reminds me i did not hear that starting gun
@@sally-notsosilent yip, you don't want to but you have to 🙃
Doesn't matter when you figure it out, as long as you do right by everyone you meet.
It sounds funny but if I could have one wish, it would be to meet and give David Gilmour a hug and thank him for all the memories and journey's he took me on 🙏
Perfect reaction 👌 chill . Pink floyd is thinking man's music .
Great gig in the sky!
Well said... Pink Floyd's music IS next level -- unique, revolutionary and mind-blowing!
COMFORTABLY NUMB, ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL, HIGH HOPES.
You're just a lucky guy, cause you can listen to these masterpieces for the first time!
oh si, eccome che è fortunato.
diamine, a 50anni suonati ascoltare questa canzone fa sempre più male dentro.
Ogni anno di più.
You're trying harder than most. 🖤
In fact, you seem pretty dedicated to THIS/US.
💚
Everyone who listens to Dark Side Of The Moon, chills, It is not a dance album. It is musical genius.
"The Great Gig in The Sky" could end this mans whole career.
React to Pink Floyd - The Great Gig In The Sky
this is the one chief
Yeah need to go Time right into The Great Gig....
@craig 22 because it's one of the greatest vocals in history. That's the point, that's why it's reacted to. Reacting isn't about finding something nobody has reacted to. It's about experiencing the younger generations discovering the great artists that we love.
@craig 22 lol, cuz i'm interested in his reaction, not the other 8,577...
Came here to say this
I had to come back and say, you really know how to listen to Pink Floyd! ❤✌
You jus don't listen to pink floyd, you become one with them in their music and go on that journey. Pink floyd is a vibe that'll never end. Listen to all albums
It was the Pink Floyd reactions that brought me to this channel in the first place. Glad you're bringing them back.
This song hits differently depending on how old you are.
Dark Side is only 40 minutes
Best band to come out of England ever! There is no other band that you can listen to that makes you feel so much emotion in one song. Every song from front to back on “Dark side of the moon” album is a story. The album was designed to be played from start to finish. It is a life changing experience when you hear it like that. ✌️
My dad played pink floyd all the time growing up. This is what music is supposed to be. Just amazing
You paused during the guitar solo... a David Gilmour guitar solo. This is a crime of the century.
Speaking of Crime of the Century, I recommend you listen to the band Supertramp.
Lol....that segue way tho! Well done Kyle 😜
He wasn't ready for the GILMOUR! LOL. I did it the first time I heard comfortably numb. Had to go back. Just couldn't believe what I was hearing.
I agree completely...
He's been avoiding Alice's Restaurant... (Probably too scarey...)
Don't think he likes to be frightened. Won't go near Hell broke Luce by that Tom...
Wait(s) ether😁
Nice transition. Smooth!!
He's got to avoid copyright. He has to pause every so often.
And that is exactly how one should enjoy pink floyd. Well done. Very spiritual song.
"I hope this isn't going to take me on an emotional journey." That's what's known as a vain hope. :)
Blazed one up with ya for this reaction!
Now you need black light posters and a room full of tie dye like the rest of us who really got into Pink Floyd.. turn the lights off and trip out. Haha.. They're great chill music.
Also you're trying now and time ain't nothing but a lesson. Keep going.
Closing your eyes and listening THEN talk about it. You feelin this. Gotta do this album start to finish. 🥴💨
Hypnotic describes so much of Pink Floyd's music. And you're absolutely right, their music is next level! ✌️
YESS!! Great shit man!! Ya got Floyded! Cheers!
One of the best reaction videos I've seen 👏
Your way of listening to this was how this music was intended to be listened to and enjoyed!!!!! 🤘😎🤘😎
Don't worry buddy. We all listen to it laid out like that. Love you.
Hey, you kinda scared me when you laid back, like that. I was afraid maybe Time had caught up with you already.
You still can try to do whatever you desire you are still a young man it is never to late to go for it.
They cut this back when psychedelics were huge. Imagine listening to this on acid...
You don’t take drugs to enjoy Pink Floyd
You take Pink Floyd to enjoy drugs!
I did😊
Pink Floyd.. my all time favorite!!!!
Pink Floyd Learning to Fly. Its a song that plays in your mind like a movie.
Been waiting for this reaction, was definitely worth the wait! It'd be dope if you rewatched some of your old videos when you weren't weren't wearing headphones. I'd recommend Free Bird especially since you didn't have headphones and it was a live performance! Keep it up!
“Young Lust” and “Another Brick in the wall”-official videos please- 💜✌️✨
Wealth is not measured on material things. None of that shit matters in the grand scheme of things. Live in the moment. Spread the love.
Peace
Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall is their best lyrics wise.
The older you get, the faster time goes by, and then...it's over, and you find yourself wishing for just a little more time, wondering where it went, and regretting all the things you didn't do.
“I hope this doesn’t take me on an emotional ride” lol, buckle you seat belt
You listened to that the RIGHT way
Only seems like a few years ago I first listened to this album,,,,,trouble is it's about 45 years ago. Yeah, time is a bitch.
My Favorite Band, What a great Experience discovering them as a young child in the 70's... What everyone seems to forget or neglect to say is that they were all either born during or conceived during World War 2, 1943 and 1945, Most of us couldn't imagine how that would affect our expression or appreciation of life, Lose yourself in your soul searching, There'll never be another like them
123K I'm writing this down to keep track of your progress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
one of the greatest rock songs of all time ....period
Pink floyd to Wizard of Oz
Push play after the lion roars the 3rd time.
Side 2 ends before the movie ends; just start Side 1 again.
@@hippychikforever I've always started it immediately after the second roar.
@@Umptyscope I think it ends perfectly with the heartbeat as they discover the Tin Man.
I hear you brother. You are real and that I appreciate like you don't understand.
Man you should totally check out the great gig in the sky by Pink Floyd
'this is Pink Floyd, I hope it don't take me on an emotional ride'
O you sweet summer child 😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️
Pink Floyd so beautifully paints us their works of art thru song. We are very lucky to have witnessed their greatness. 🎸👏💥
If I could sing like anyone on the planet it would be this woman. Pink Floyd "The Great Gig in the Sky" SOUL in her voice. This one is priority over anything I have suggested. ❤️ The song I'm talking about above is right after this song you just reviewed. They give her the floor. It's all alone freestyle.
awesome pick bruh !!!!
My favorite Pink Floyd song was "Echoes". I definitely recommend this one.
Another Brick In The Wall" fits what's happening in our country today, perfectly if you think about it.
That’s because it’s a timeless classic and will always apply
Lmao imagine bro falls asleep while listening to this and then all other pink floyd songs starts coming up, bro gon have the dreams of his life
- *(Foghat) “Slow Ride” Extended Version* 💯✊
Take it Easy!
I'm 50 years old and I wish I knew before that time would ride so fast. Anyway let's continue to hear music. It feeds our soul 💜
Upgrade the ear buds for some Marshall "over ear" phones then treat yourself to "All you zombies" by the HOOTERS...
SO WORTH IT !
