One does not simply listen to Pink Floyd. One experiences Pink Floyd.
Factssss
I just gave detailed instructions on how to do that...I only left out one thing...party favors but you don't need them...they do something to your mind, body and soul.
😅is laser floyd no longer a thing? I weep for the children 🌼
@@JenSell1626 Oh that was awesome when lasers first came out and you could go sit in dark a/c room at a fair or something and enjoy some floyd too...man it was HOT at State Fair Of Texas...this was a GIFT!
YES!!
This a song that you listen to at 58 years old and think "Gee, probably should have paid closer attention to the lyrics, when I was listening to this at 15." 🤔
🙏🙏🙏💙💙💙
Lmao true!
58 here too and I agree! More Pink Floyd, please! Great reaction, Stax!
Yeah! I feel the same at 73.
Surprisingly true; damn. . . . .
One of the best albums ever written!
💪🏽🔥
I'm not a big fan of Pink Floyd, but I think this IS the best album ever written.
The greatest studio solo of Gilmour’s career.
Comfortably Numb.
The only thing better than Pink Floyd is Pink Floyd live. 💗🤘🏽
Exactly!! Saw them at RFK Stadium in 1994! There are absolutely no words!!
Yezzer Yaz saw "Momentary Lapse Of Reason" & " Pulse: Division Bell" mixture of musical performance with video on the circular screen & lasers light show,a bed going across the arena & exploding, unsurpassed... unequalled since!!!😊❤
True statement. Have to have the sensory overload visuals to go with the most awesome sound. Loud , Loud.
Managed to get to see them at Earl's Court in '94 on the Pulse tour, if you want to see how they play live then you can't do any better than watching videos of this concert, it is rated as 1 of the BEST ever ( top 3) in the history of music, not just by the Floyd.
64 y/o white man here... you feel the timeless stax... floyd is!
One day, when I was around 12, an older pal asked me if I wanted to hang out at “this chick’s house”, what a hippie experience. Black lights and lava lamps then the needle hit this Masterpiece album. I was never the same. I experienced them live in’77 in Madison Square Garden. There is a reason this Masterpiece was on the billboard charts for 741 weeks!
This band is on a completely different level.
Ik that’s right!!!
I love seeing people experience pink
Floyd for the first time. It’s an out of body experience
So amazing 🙏🙏🙏
Watching people react to this song for the first time makes me feel like I’m hearing it again for the first time all over again
Yesssss
I've been listening to this album for 51 years. It *NEVER* gets old!!
Burn one, pop the cork on some mellow wine and relax for the next 42 minutes and 49 seconds.
🙏🙏🙏🙏
The peak of human expression through music... Pink Floyd...
🙏🙏🙏
One cannot refute logic sir
Floyd, hands down best concert I've ever been to!🤘
Rock on!
hello I am 71 years old I have known this masterpiece for a very long time, this song is immortal..not us everything that is said is true
🙏🙏🙏
@@StaxReacts hello I appreciated your response: allow me to introduce you to an extra live band; it goes straight to the heart it's about moody blues live and I want to introduce you to a French songwriter: the lyrics are in French but the music and especially the guitars and drums are fantastic I'll give you the links, I'd like know your reaction
respectful greetings ua-cam.com/video/_F72zzwwJSU/v-deo.html and the second linki=://ua-cam.com/video/MjUqfRrWwcM/v-deo.htmlsi=zzhsmLTFDlPLtObe
This album, "Dark Side Of The Moon," was on the Billboard Top 100 charts for 990 weeks!
In my opinion, Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon" is possibly the greatest piece of recorded music in human history. You MUST listen to this album in its entirety from beginning to end. Whether you do it on your own time or for a video, it's a MUST listen.
Keep crushing, Stax!
🔥🔥💪🏽💪🏽
There's only 2 albums that have outsold this one MJ's Thriller and AC/DC Back in Black but the fact that Pink Floyd knocked off Elvis and the Beatles for most sold and held that title for around 30yrs. is quite the major accomplishment.
@@tomlafleche332 BnB was my second album ever, but let's face it: Dark Side is the only dessert island disk on this list. Not doing some moon walk zombie bs through sand.
Wrong@RoyMunson
You could make a case for a couple of Floyd albums as the best. It's gonna come down to taste. Top 3 easy
Pink Floyd really make you reflect, no other band has the same effect
🙏🙏🙏🙏
There is one other band that has that effect I can think of and that's Tool
I started listening to Pink Floyd about 1977 . And it grabbed me directly by the balls. And it still does...anno2024
That whole album is a mind blowing masterpiece of emotion and passion that makes you think about life
I’ll be doing this entire album first🙏💙🔥
Back to the 70's when I was a teenager, we had a Yin and Yang of Rock Music, an absolute darkest Black and the most brilliant White
We didn't have Broadband, Mobile Phones or Social Media.
We had Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin bringing balance to our little universe.
🙏💙🔥
word! Floyd and Zep are definitely my 2 faves.
Led Zeppelin shouldn’t be mentioned in the same breath as Pink Floyd. They were ok but they were a bunch of posers all the songs on their early albums were just covers of old blues songs. They are decent but don’t compare at all to Pink Floyd
Don't forget our awesome quadraphonic stereo systems!
This song is nothing but an existential threat to the soul
🙏🙏🙏
Pink Floyd is a genre unto themselves
RIGHT
it's unfathomable to me that any adult hasn't heard this song
LFG...Pink Floyd has like 50 songs in my top 10... Lol... More, more, more please
🙏🙏🙏
50 songs in my top 10! That got a laugh out of me because, I know exactly what you mean.
@@RoadDoug Any Floyd fan knows this feeling, same with Zeppelin.
Could've said it better
@@connieleighton4375 You could have? Really? Are you sure that's what you meant? :D
will make a man cry with happiness
Your PF experience has just begun...This band changes people, they have for decades and will continue to do so for the rest of time.
💙💙💙
Pink Floyd is the epitome of headphone music!
Dark Side Of The Moon is the second best selling album of all-time, after Michael Jackson's Thriller. It spent a record 11 years on the Billboard Top 100 selling albums list!
💙🔥💪🏽
I was just 18 when I heard this for the first time in 1973 while stationed on an aircraft carrier in the Tonkin Gulf, Vietnam. I felt it the same way you did!
Enterprise and Kitty Hawk here, Pink Floyd got me through many long at sea periods, Zumwalt's Navy before piss tests.
I'm 52 and this song hits hard. Need to not waste time!
I feel like this song hits differently with every passing decade of my life.
The second best album ever written, the top spot being occupied by their next album release: "Wish You Were Here" which I had played at my son's funeral and will be played at my own.
When the depth and meaning of an absolute masterpiece of music becomes more powerful and personal, 50 plus years on.... ❤
I am 65 years old and live each day as a treasure. Much love and peace and joy to you, young man! And welcome to the world of Pink Floyd ✌️🙏
🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Stax, from my heart, don't waste pink Floyd on reactions. GET ALONE, W HEADPHONES, AND LISTEN TO EACH ALBUM BEGINNING TO END. YOU'LL THANK "THEM".
Shut up! I love the reactions 🤣🤣
And drop some acid.😊
😂
whatchu mean? These reactions are what put DSOTM back on the charts to add to their record, lol.
their music is made for physical, deep bass, and high notes for the head.
the awsome feeling been driven back to ur body by the low notes is part of it all.
headphones is great, dont misun. me,......but i say, u need the feel of the bass to have the whole exp.
Pink Floyd- Comfortbly Numb
omg omg YESSSSSS
💙💙🙏🙏
Agreed.
From the 94' Pulse show.
Brother, don’t be sorry to stop it.
I’ll say this: I love your reaction because not only you take the time to enjoy the musicality of that masterpiece, but you listen and obviously get the lyrics on a first take.
Subscribed!
I appreciate that💙🙏
Welcome to the machine!!!👍🏻❤️
Shine On You Crazy diamond too !!! As much as I love Dark Sider of the Moon , Wish You were Here was the album that really hit home for Me in My teen Years . The conformity described so Unappealing in this track . Just masterful Music and Lyrics !!!
The first time I heard Pink Floyd was when I was 8 years old and my older brother took me to see them do this album live in 1973. Blew me away and ha e been a fan of the Floyd ever since.
45 million copies
The Dark Side Of The Moon is an album by the band Pink Floyd. The album has sold over 45 million copies. It is believed to be one of the best-selling albums ever
🙏🙏🙏
There’s a reason why they’re one of the top 3 bands of all time. Intensely deep lyrics and music that puts you in another world. You’d be wise to keep going.
🙏🙏💙💙
rush and alice in chains?
🤯 This is from 1973!! so ahead of its time and truly never equaled. Great reaction! Maybe try some tracks off their 1971 album 'Meddle' like Fearless or One of these days. Cheers!
💙🙏
Reminds of chilling in the dorm room and taking some "vitamins. Mind blown...
💙🔥
good for you man! enjoyed your take and reaction to the timeless sound of Pink Floyd
down the rabbit hole you go!
Rock on!
Oh hell yeah. One of my favorite songs!
🙏🙏🙏
❤just feel it
Yes, Pink Floyd, ELP, Genesis, King Crimson. Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, all from my teen years at college. ALL BRITISH. There was, and never will be a musical age like that one, I was fortunate enough to experience fully ❤🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
🙏🙏🙏🔥🔥🔥
When you’re young the depth of this song goes mostly unnoticed. When you’re older it hits you like a sledgehammer! Relish youth my friend cause it doesn’t last long.
🙏🙏🙏
Gilmour: way more class than flash. Brilliant guitartist
🙏🙏🔥🔥
Brother plesse react to the whole slbum IS ONE OF THE GREATEST EVER
Will do!!!
Each song leads into the next, that's why this one ended so abruptly. So it has to be done in one sitting.
You dont listen to Floyd songs, you listen to Floyd albums all the way.
Hey Staxx. As one who first heard this decades ago, I can tell you there is so much truth in this song.
💙🙏🔥
Dark side of the moon, comfortably numb, wish you were here, shine on you crazy diamond (part 1 and 2)!
woof, songs hits so close to home for us humans
🙏🙏💙💙
Masterpiece
🤗 I love how PF catches folks off guard with this opening. 😄 Everytime! 😒 And to think 🤗 this is the Music we did our homework to 🤯 for about a decade if you think how many days you did homework just in JHS & HS alone! 🤭 David Gilmour was our babysitter. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 😒 Not even joking.... 😁🥰🐰
💙🤘🏽🔥
Learning to Fly.
🙏🙏🙏
If you listen to the album, one song just merges into the next, it's mind blowing!
S-tier all day long. And more where that came from.
After my father passed and it was time to go pick up his ashes I got the sudden impulse to put on Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" album for his drive home. It was one of his favorites and he played it all the time I was growing up. You should consider doing a full album reaction. Much of Pink Floyd's work is best appreciated by listening to the album as a whole.
🔥🔥🙏🙏🙏
Truth !!!
First heard this song when I was around 13/14. I admired the lyrics but I have to admit I didn’t really understand them. I’m 64 now, and now I understand them to the max !!!
One of the greatest Rock bands of all time!
That’s a fact🙏
Welcome to the best band in the world! This album is a Masterpiece!!! On the Billboard top100 longer than any album in history. 990 weeks. They are my favorite band, along with Tool and Black Sabbath. Thank you. Please do more.
🙏💙🔥
This album sold 45 million copies
And was on the top 100 album chart for 990 weeks (19 years).
Echoes live from Pompeii is a must my friend. Great reaction as usual my friend and Peace out 🙏 ✌️ ☮️
🙏🙏
I'm so glad you enjoyed that. Fall down that Pink Floyd rabbit hole, you won't regret it.
🙏🙏🙏
One of the greatest songs of the late 20th century
🤘🏽💙
I've said it before... I'll say it again. 💯
Pink Floyd WILL change your life....
IF you let it. 💯
🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Welcome to the Pink Floyd rabbit hole. Every single song they've made is unique and mind-blowing. You have quite a journey ahead of you. I think you'll love it, considering your reaction to this one track (which isn't even their best, which is telling you something haha).
I'm 49 and started with Floyd when I was about 15/ 16, Darkside of the Moon is a Timeless album and Time is Timeless 😉
🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Awesome homie
Appreciate it
Best listened to with a big fatty, eyes closed and really listen to and feel the lyrics. Ageless.
🙏🙏🙏
The whole album is great.
Wouldn't it be cool to broadcast this out to the stars? Some civilization light years away, hears it thousands of years from now...what would they think?
Pink Floyd "Comfortably Numb" and "Wearing The Inside Out"
🙏🙏🔥🔥
Been listening to PF since im 14 & i will be 62 in a few months & i love watching people discover their music they are my all time favorite band
🙏🙏🙏
Tomorrow is a lie! Every time you wake up it’s today!
That’s a fact!!!!
I’m 56 have listened since I was a young teen
Never ever gets old ❤
Please do comfortably numb live pulse concert
Will blow your mind ❤😊😊😊
The show is amazing
🤘🏽🤘🏽🔥🔥
When I hear this album (YES, album) I really miss my huge 1970's quadrophonic stereo system. You could lay down in the middle of the room with your speakers, feel and almost see the music circumnavigating the room.
🙏
Time. Has passed
From the PULSE live collection, please check out COMFORTABLY NUMB, and also the live version of TIME (definitely worth seeing).
🙏🙏🔥🔥
In 1994, Pink Floyd was all in their 50's, or older. Roger Waters had left the band nearly a decade earlier, and they may have concluded that their next tour would be their last. So they blew out all the stops and crafted the most expensive tour in music history to that point. They recorded the European leg of the tour, and released it initially on CD. It had a red LED in the spine that flashed , or 'pulsed'. For that reason, it became known as the PULSE concert.
Then they released the video footage from the tour.
It's been called ~arguably~ the greatest concert performance ever recorded. I had the pleasure of seeing the tour with 65,000 friends, and it was truly mind-blowing. Pink Floyd brought their own reality, and for three hours they let us all visit them there. Every song is an exceptional version, in both audio and video. And the song that brought the house down was "Comfortably Numb". You really must react to the PULSE live version of this song; it will blow you away. 'Nuff said.
🙏🙏🙏
It's always weird to hear this song by itself. The ending is meant to lead directly into Great Gig, the two songs are inseparable in my mind. It's like hearing half a song this way.
🙏🙏
This was My typical Friday night listen in the day
When I saw them in concert 30 years ago (May of 1994) - it was something that couldn’t ever be matched
🙏🙏🤘🏽
I tell all 10 of my nieces and nephews that a fulfilling life doesn't just come to you, you must go to it.
FACTSSSS
Every minute we sit .... is a Minute closer to where we Have to sit.
🤘🏽🙏💙
Dark Side of the Moon! Best listened to on your own in a darkened room, headphones on and a glass of something interesting!! Enjoy the journey!!😁🇬🇧🇬🇧
🙏🙏🙏
I will never forget the day my Parents bought this album and Time came on. My sister and I were young and it scared us up until the music picked up. 😂
Regardless, we still love PF immensely. 😊
🙏🙏🙏
I like your view of time. Very very heavy.
This a concept LP from 1973 , ive been a fan for 52 yrs
🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
This album is amazing in that each song leads directly into the next one, there are no breaks or empty silences between songs. When this album was first released, it stayed on the Billboard "Top 200 Albums" chart for over 18 YEARS without dropping off the list. That shows you the genius that went into recording it and how much people love it.
🙏🙏🔥🔥
You feel Pink Floyd..
You experience it ❤❤❤
So glad you got to !!
This and shine on you crazy diamond 💎 are my most favorite by them ..
You must try that next 😊
Love it
This is good ole rock and roll!
🙏🙏🙏
Welcome to the Rabit hole, this album and all that follow are all great albums, and even some before this., so enjoy the ride.
If you pay close attention to the lyrics in 2023 you will certainly realize that they were a message for you left in a "time capsule" in 1973...
🙏🙏🙏🙏
If you like progressive rock, you will love Yes. Start out with Roundabout.
Bettttt
Pink Floyd is a rabbit hole you should go down. I’ll subscribe to watch it.
For sureeeee
welcome
I always listen for a reactor to understand the lyrics
I heard them when this album came and have lived a fulfilling life
Now it's your turn
💙💙🙏🙏
Growing up in the 80's, this was my dad's favorite band. This entire album is amazing. If you get a chance, "Money" is my personal favorite song by them... Great reaction as always man!
Thank you so much
My favorite song
💙🔥
Well said young fella. Great reaction!!
In terms of time flying by, the thing that's been on my mind a lot lately is the fact that my oldest niece is graduating high school this month. I can't believe this is happening already.
🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
