I bought one on Amazon. After removing the infernal blue film, it's been an excellent little stove. I use it in the yard, during hot spells, to make nachos and whatnot. The fuel is whatever I prune from my shrubbery.
So calming and very relaxing to listen to your voice. Cool stove works well and burns the kick that falls from trees instead of having to cut one down. Have fun stay safe.
That stove is a keeper! Thanks for review, I feel like I hung out and had coffee with ya! Stay well, I'm gonna get one for my big out bag! 💫 Stay well 🌌
I got this stove for Christmas. I wanted it mostly for power outages. I was so confused because it didn't come with any instructions. This video helped me a lot. Thanks!
I just got one of these and it cane with a removable filding pot stand for $20 which is a hecknof a deal as they are going for $30 without the pot stand. I made a few mods to mine to make it even studier and took the ring off of the door and added a piece of wire bent square on either end so I can flip it with a stick or gloved hand. Also added a piece of expanded steel mesh to the floor to keep the smaller pieces of wood from falling through and to help keep everything a bit tighter. I also drilled a couple of holes in both sides at the top and cut one side of the handle off of the grate with about 1/4" sticking out to slide into each hole and opened the holes on the opposite side to make a couple of grooves for the other handle to slide down into, locking it in place, adding another level of stability. I also trimmed the floor plate down to fit in the front slot instead of the sides to make it more convienient to either remove or adjust for air flow after the fire burns down. Great little stoves, too bad the prices are going throught the roof on them
I have the large and small versions of that stove. I haven't used them yet. I bought them because I liked the design and charcoal can be used as well as biomass. Now they sell pot holder adapters so you don't have to use the grate or grill.
Thank you for the review & I agree its an excellent stove. However it is let down by the detail. The pins holding the hinges are loose and can fall out making the stove useless. I complained to the supplier when it happened to mine. They apologised and sent me a replacement free of charge. Whilst i was waiting for it to come I decided to repair the first one. Pinching the top and bottom hinges have so far kept the pins in place. worth doing before you use it for the first time in the outdoors. The pins are a bugger to find in a dark woods. The grill sits better sideways on with the door facing you. I do not need to use the hinges to hold it in place. Its seats itself inside the stove chamber and doesnt move about. I've used mine about 6 outings now and am enjoying it. It burns very well and is very efficient. I still havent used the replacement. I'm now quite attached to the one i repaired. I found two faults with the second one. The hinge pins were again loose and the hooks that hold the internal grate were loose. Both fixable with a small hammer & pliers So my advise is go over your stove & check for faults. It is not a high quality stove but is great value for money. There shouldnt be anything that you cant repair yourself with minimal skill or kit. For the price we can really grumble.
I have the larger one I have yet to try. I'm glad you pointed out tge handles, I had no idea it was to hold the cooking grate. I've had mine together sitting on a table in my front room just marveling at how beautiful it is. After watching your video, to concentrate the flame on the center of the pot and probably would boil quicker is to make a simmering plate, basic square metal with a hole in the center. My brother has a CNC Plasma machine, I'll get him to make me one. Thank You for the informative video!
Thank you, Sty! Today the price is up to $38, I hope to get 1 at the end of the month when my deposit comes. I haven't seen anyone test it w/ charcoal so I'll try that when I get 1. I'm thinking I can use it as a 'survival stove' w/ charcoal. Have a GREAT day, Neighbor!
Bought my little over a week ago got it finally got to test it not in the field yet but in the backyard I was very impressed I had the larger one and found that it heated up a small skillet pretty quick I got the additional pot holder that you can purchase separately and I recommend it highly can't wait to do some serious cooking on it I have found a few tricks to get around the hotpoints on it or you could just use one of the sticks that you would use for fire turn the ring with it and on mine I can actually take the front handle off I just given it a little squeeze
i just found this same one at a bin store for 1$ just missing the bag and had to look for a review. awesome. definitely going to use it. amazon says 45$ now
Great review. I didn't notice any smoke, acted like a rocket stove. At 2lb. by time you get a gas stove and a fuel canister or two you're getting close. Got one on the way to add to my collection.👍
ONLY 8,10, 12 miles! Accckkkk. I just ordered one today, but I think Amazon ripped me off because when I Google it again after I bought it, it came up on Amazon again for $6 less. They're so slick at ripping people off! Thanks for the video!
Great review sty. I have the same bushbox burner I cooked a fabulous steak onion Red pepper and garlic you carnt beat a wood fire. One tip I bought a cheap aluminium barbecue grill as it has holes in put it in the bottom and burn wood on that and it doesn't burn it all that fast it slows it down a bit.
Nifty little stove Sty. Great review... I love my Twig stove... use it often while I am Canoe Tripping... These stoves are $32.99 on Canada's Amazon site
Wow thanks for sharing my friend. I just ordered two of these bad boys today. I also wanted to say I love ur calm voice I wouldn’t mind you reading and book to my kids or as a Narrator to some wildlife show. I just subbed to ur channel 👏🏻👌🏻from Denver Colorado
gotta tellya...i've used'em all...this thing is the best & most efficient of the bunch. About 10 years ago, I made my own can-style rocket stove, and no other 'twig' stove has come even close to matching it for ease of use or smokeless cooking. This stove is just as efficient as my rocket stove, and is made better. My rocket stove, although the best stove i have, is not collapsible & it's a pain. This stove with all its features, is overall better than the one I made. I've used it a lot for heating water, soup, cooking stew & grilling meats. Get this one, if you like to cook with wood. ::::EDIT:::: I will say one additional thing: the wood rest (bottom) grill is too holey...it needs to be slightly restricted to get a better, longer, not-so-hot burn.
Two sizes of this stove are made. the Small one about 6 inches square by 8 inches tall, weighs at 1.9 pounds the bigger version, and I dont know the size, but it weighs in at 5.5 pounds.
I have both sizes and have not been disappointed to much. Only thing i have a issue with is the ash will get to think and i would have to use a stick to scrap some out other than that works great. I have out both thru multiple hour long uses as a firepit and the heat is amazing.
I suspect the handles wouldn't be handles while the stove is hot, the handle on the door is probably designed that way because you couldn't really add an insulated handle without adding bulk and a large keychain loop is easy enough to hook with a tent peg or pliers, or perhaps even remove the loop and make a wooden handle with an L-shaped prong to hook into the hole the keychain is passed through that detaches to prevent it getting hot.
I have the same cup. I built a hobo stove. Its not as efficient as that one. I will get one like you have. How do you keep your cup so clean. Mine is black. Still works but cant get the black soot and sap off easily. Thanks
Just bought this same stove. Got the large size. And watching this video made me not regret my purchase. Thank you sir for sharing! Was this the large size stove?
It's kind of addictive you start with one wood stove before you know it I've got several different types of them 😁😉 mmmm and alcohol stoves were the same my first was a transgia and several more later mmmm. Well I think u preppers n campers get it.
This guy looks like a caricature of an extreme centrist. He dresses like if white people had a taliban, but he just wants to chill and he just wants to grill.
Handles do not hold grill in place. They stick up too high to allow pans or larger pots. Also if you look at the pictures on Amazon etc. the handles are down with grill on top. The grill sits on top with outer rim facing down to keep from sliding around.
Pics are one thing but the stove isn’t hot in the pics so u never really know what any product is capable of until it’s in action , pictures online only go so far
frankly, the "handles" - (they are not handles, really...they are grill retainers) will keep the grill from dislodging when you grill something like a steak, which initially tends to stick on the first turning of it. So, if you are not grilling, feel free to not use the grill retainers.

It's a great little stove and I'm sure you will be happy with it! Thank You so much for watching!

You are truly missed my friend. Rest in peace brother!
Excellent review. Very thorough and concise. I Have no questions. You covered everything in a timely fashion. Thank you.
I have the large and small versions of that stove. I haven't used them yet. I bought them because I liked the design and charcoal can be used as well as biomass. Now they sell pot holder adapters so you don't have to use the grate or grill.
Tried 15 charcoal brackets started them with wauded paper under the brackets in the astray worked great
Well I'm sold. Thanks for the demonstration. For the price, it seems like it's perfect for keeping one in the car and one in the tornado bag.
Can't beat the price for that! And who cannot find twigs and sticks? Love it! Take care!
Thank you for the review & I agree its an excellent stove.

Looks like a sweet piece of kit! Thanks for sharing friend!!🤠🤙
Like you said it came with zero instructions so thank you so much for doing this video!
Thank you, Sty!

I was on the fence about buying it but now I'm sold. thanks for the review.

Pretty slick little stove. Great look at it

Hey Sty, looks like a neat little stove, and for $20, that's great! Thanks for the review.👍

Thank you so much for this video, it kept me intrigued right the way through. Great job x
I have a couple things like that. I sold
Should do a video... Thanks for the inspiration Mr. Sty
I truly hope you do 👍

Nice little stove, that is a handy addition at any ones camp. Great review!
Great video and review Sty 😀 very cool little camp stove 👍

Will it burn breakfast.
Can you foil the top for a burger?
Awesome review I plan on getting one thanks
You sound like an artist and the bey bey part reminds me of Bob Ross:)
Thanks!
BBQ lighter next best thing to a ferro rod lol! Great video I just saw the stove on Amazon then found your video. Will be picking it up!
Great review. I just ordered one on Temu for $9. They are almost $40 on Amazon now
Two sizes of this stove are made. the Small one about 6 inches square by 8 inches tall, weighs at 1.9 pounds the bigger version, and I dont know the size, but it weighs in at 5.5 pounds.
Nice stove... nice thing about stick stoves is you don't have to carry fuel
Nice review Sty. Sorry I've been away but hoping to catch up soon
Awesome video, brother! And you have a great voice for this, had to subscribe. See ya down the road! - Kevin Venture
Awesome review sty, looks like it's pretty efficient, and well built
I have both sizes and have not been disappointed to much. Only thing i have a issue with is the ash will get to think and i would have to use a stick to scrap some out other than that works great. I have out both thru multiple hour long uses as a firepit and the heat is amazing.
U use em both at the same time ?
Great video man!just ordered mine
Great stove and review 👍
Santa on his off time, don't get him mad.
Nice review you know i love my coffee may have to get me one of these...
It's great for that quick pot of coffee! No Colman Stove, and no need for a full campfire, love it!
I suspect the handles wouldn't be handles while the stove is hot, the handle on the door is probably designed that way because you couldn't really add an insulated handle without adding bulk and a large keychain loop is easy enough to hook with a tent peg or pliers, or perhaps even remove the loop and make a wooden handle with an L-shaped prong to hook into the hole the keychain is passed through that detaches to prevent it getting hot.
i was thinking of wrapping the door ring with leather or heat resistant cordage
I have something similar but it also while it is heating charges solar
I have the same cup. I built a hobo stove. Its not as efficient as that one. I will get one like you have. How do you keep your cup so clean. Mine is black. Still works but cant get the black soot and sap off easily. Thanks
Great review, Sir.
Great video. Thank you!! 👍
You don't have a Multi tool with pliers?
This stove could take a run for The Firebox box 5” for it’s money tbh. It’s $20.00 and this price alone can beat the 5” Firebox stove alone!
Bush box is the best . I would like one but they are £60 . Im tempted by this at less than quarter the price.
But it is double the weight .
I liked the stove thank you for the video i hope 2 purchase 1.
Great presentation! Thank you.
Very thanks
Way nicer than a gas stove. No gas cans to pack in, pack out and dispose of.
Well done!
Nice review on the camp stove
Just bought this same stove. Got the large size. And watching this video made me not regret my purchase. Thank you sir for sharing! Was this the large size stove?
Mine wasn't the large size, but I plan on getting one!
Woodsman Santa is inspirational and helpful
Sure like mine..
cheap n easy 25 bucks Canadian at the liquidation store..
I gotta get this thing!!
Great review! Is the stove still holding up?
20 for the thing isnt bad. When you listen for that hardy snap of the twig or small branch you know you got a dry 1.
Very informative thank you
how was it for containing the ash/clean up?
Very small amount of ash after approximately 20 minute burn. Being stainless steel, it cleaned up quite nicely and with ease!
I have five of these stove no problem with them
It's kind of addictive you start with one wood stove before you know it I've got several different types of them 😁😉 mmmm and alcohol stoves were the same my first was a transgia and several more later mmmm.
Well I think u preppers n campers get it.
Can you burn charcoal in it?
Sure! I used 4 charcoal bticketts and was able to boil water and cook over them 👍
a larger one is also available
The country is in the name! RED as in china!!
Are you bob ross?
👀💪🍓
