Sonic Triple Trouble - Best Ending Sonic Speedrun in

Best Ending in this game involves getting all of the Chaos Emeralds. This means going into and completing all 5 Special Stages in the game. Which are actually pretty neat.
To go into the Special Stages, you need to have 50 rings and then pop an Emerald Monitor. Both these qualifications made routing kinda interesting - the rings are mostly achieved by getting a chaos emerald signpost, by ending a stage with X0 rings at the end. Luckily after finishing a Special Stage it takes your rings to 0, so finishing right after makes it a simple task for the next level.
However, it actually makes the entry into SS3 quite tricky, as you must pop the emerald monitor on the right edge, otherwise you'll respawn right into rings. Things like that are cool to figure out.
The monitors themselves are much too far out of the way in the last 3 zones, so getting all 5 in the first 3 is optimal. However the very last one can vary between MJ1 and MJ2 (which is why I have no splits between the 2). This is because the monitor is less out of the way in MJ2, but you are assured the rings in MJ1 from the signpost from SP2 (because SP3 isn't considered a separate level). However since you always get 13 rings in the latter part of the level, if you cross the first part with exactly 57, you can get another emerald signpost and carry that over. If not, you change course and get the emerald in MJ1. Got the 57 in this run, so got it in MJ2.
This run itself was...alright. Definitely tons of places for improvement. Though the real bane of this game is dropped inputs. Plenty of times your jumps will just get eaten repeatedly, and with Sonic especially, this just leads to an instant death sentence. Which makes just even finishing a run really rough. So while I might show up here again for a sub 30, I'm just happy I finished a reasonable run for now.
There's actually a bunch of new tech that I found to apply in this run, which I also really enjoyed discovering. I hit all of air-roll cancel, instant block, and full elevator skip at least once, so that's cool.
