One of the coolest hacks I've seen and used is: making a circular MDF cutout and use it on your bench grinder for sharpening and polishing metal. For those that don't know Medium Density Fiberboard is great for that, and you can apply directly to the DIY wheel "jewelers paste" or "GOJO Orange hand scrub with pumice" as polishing agents
That table saw has to be the most insane table saw I've ever heard, it's like a mini jet engine sound. I had to turn volume off each time it was running

I’d love to see you triple up the “saw blades” and have like three paper discs together at once on that and see how it cuts, also maybe try “sharpening” the cardboard by like running a box cutter at an angle around the disc and give it an edge to cut with maybe? Loved this ❤️🤘

I've done this with a Dremel and had no problem cutting through PVC pipe with paper.
Actually the cardboard blade has a practical use, cutting up cardboard. Scissors, knives, exacto knives, all get dull in a HURRY cutting cardboard. It's free, no worries with dulling, and it works.
Huh?. I've had the same pair of scissors for 25 years and they've never gone dull. I use them for everything, plastic, paper, even trimmed a rose bush with them recently.
the funniest part was by far tylers face as he held those things up after the cardboard sped through it.
I have a great idea for you! Try using other types of materials as sawblades. Like plastic, wood, cloth, dried flex seal in the shape of a circle(since you love it so much), you get it list is endless but could be pretty interesting!!
My science and shop teacher got together to show us this in high school. Still cool

Honestly I think I learned two things from this channel. 9V batteries are fun and cardboard is dangerous.

Paper is similar to abrasive cutoff wheels, but make from a weaker material.
One idea would be to try a sheet of paper infused with super glue and set to dry.
You could’ve answered the age old question: does paper really beat rock?

Laser cut mdf should work amazing I belive it's to do with the friction caused that makes the cut so some thin mdf will be stable and accurate allowing more presure to be used without deforming the blade
I wasn't thinking. Most paper has abrasives (usually clay) but the ones in cardboard are coarser.
Maybe some calling card paper stock? Poster board? Plastic?
I was totally surprised how good the last piece of paper did on cutting those things. It appears that Tyler was impressed as well

Pigs foot or a chicken wing would have been a good try. But seriously find an 8inch bowl and use and exacto knife around it to get a better circle. Or I think some of those tools do have a blade option to cut it better.
I’d like to see a plastic milk jug or something plastic cut to fit in your table saw and see what it will cut.

Looks like 20# text, 60 or 65# cover, and 110# card, from the way they move and sound. The cardstock WILL provide the best stability of the choices, given the thickness, but I would've used something in an Astrobright Cardstock, or a 100# coated sheet, as the dyes/coating provide more weight to the paper giving a better chance at a straighter "blade". The other thing I think I would've done is see if I could find a place with a paper CNC cutter for better circles. Or even one of those swivel blade cutters, the ones that can just do all manner of clean curves.

anyone else use a papertowel (like the cheap brown rough ones) as sandpaper on a lathe for wood? I used it for a school project after like 3000 grit, and lemme tell ya, that was a smooth piece when i was done.
If u glue 3-4 pieces of paper together it becomes way stronger, do try that

You know what would be amazing, you layering some paper and maybe mixing it with fiberglass or resin and under vacuum. I bet you could cut some real stuff with that. Or just layer paper with glue.
I am eating off of a paper plate right now. It would cut through your hand pretty easily. Try it out and give us a short clip of the results. I'd get both of the types. The expensive waxed plate might be a beast.

Should really try all kinds of blades. like, channel staples. A Flex Tape blade, different kinds of glue blades, maybe a blade made out of those silicone beads you used a few times...
Take a hard cardboard and cut a blade from it. Then put a mix of glue and diamond dust over and near the border. See what you can cut with it.
What if the paper blade had teeth like an actual saw blade? Would take some time to cut each tooth out but might help strengthen the paper during cutting.
I thought this too but after thinking longer about it I think it would just weaken the paper. It could work on the cardboard, but I don’t think the printer paper or the card stock would hold up.
@@Evanrs44 yeah that makes sense. The teeth on paper could damage it quicker from multiple fast impacts compared to a solid edge.
