Marsha thanks for the comment! That's awesome - so many are timid about "do it yourself" projects, thanks for sharing your success! We would love to have before and after photos if you wanted to send - if you'd like, you can send to customerservice@coverlaymfg.com - we would love to feature you and your project on our social media channels.
I just received my inserts today. Being a single woman I have to do alot of things myself (that I can do). I just replaced all four days. I followed the instructions and it turned out just fine. Thanks so much. The vinyl had started to fall off and it was driving me nuts. I have a before and after picture ☺
That is awesome! Good job! If you could send before and after to customerservice@coverlaymfg.com I'll send you a couple of thank you gifts. When you send that email with photos, please send a mailing address - you can put "Before and After Pics for Marketing" in the subject line.
Abs plastic is cheap, and their 'exact fit moulding system' is easy to do if you have the equipment. It would be a little bit cheaper to buy a 3d printer and print your own door panel inserts!
Looks like a great solution, because replacing the viny has failed every time no matter what glue I use. Before I order, the hard backing on my escape has already been removed down to the bare plastic. Will the new insert still fit without this backing in place? If not, do you have any suggestions?
Yes it will fit. Clean the area well before install with Windex or another ammonia based cleaner. FMI please contact us at 800-633-7090 or visit our website: coverlaymfg.com/
When we started this the fabric peeled off, as we wiped to clean the baked on adhesive off, we were in for trouble, sorry to say we’re still working on removing the adhesive. The winded didn’t work a baked on mess, might have to buy the complete door panel. What are the recommendations??
Clean the adhesive as well as you can but not all of the adhesive will come off. Our silicone adhesive should still hold the insert in place even with some of the old adhesive still baked on. Dry fit the insert without silicone first to make sure it sets in place. For more information please feel free to give us a call at 1-800-633-7090 or email us at customerservice@coverlaymfg.com.
The old adhesive comes of easiest buy just running your finger back and fourth and if you have a small shop vac or any vacuum with a hand held hose will suck it up as it loosens and falls
Good gravy! Anyone handy can cut a few pieces of fabric or vinyl material and use some spray glue adhesive and fix this problem! What I need is some pieces to cover the top edge of the door panel where the sun bakes the color out of it. I guess I’ll just have to spray paint them or dye them.

What did they send you?
@@runed0s86 I received 4 inserts and a tube of glue.
@@MzPami72 They said they were going to send you additional gifts though
@@runed0s86 They did. A hat and a towel with the company's name on them ☺
Excellent solution for a very common issue. Well done.
Thank you!
It's a good idea. I just am finding it hard to pull the trigger on $138.77 for two of these.
$138.77 for all four and I order them right now!
I agree, these seem way overpriced.

I went to the website and they are asking 400 bucks for all 4 lmao 🤣
@@runed0s86 interesting!

Reports we get back are that the spray adhesive to vinly or fabric do not stay put. The ABS plastic these are made of is a "one and done" solution.
Sorry no photos didn’t even think too.
No problem. Hope your install went well.
