Linda at her most accomplished. She filled stadiums and was the Queen of Rock and Roll in the 1970s. Then, she studied operetta and sang and acted on Broadway. And then American standards. And then Mexican. And then Country. As she got older, she learned, trained, practice, thought. She gained some weight. A more substantial woman with even greater power. By the time she gets to the White House, she had a half dozen careers as the leading singer in every genre in which she sang. A phenomenon. A genius.
She didn’t sing any rock songs that I know of.

Probably with the early stages of parkinsons as well. She's matching what miley cyrus can do today with control and tone, and exceeding her by an octave at least. If Linda didn't have parkinsons she'd still be giving miley cyrus and gaga a run for their money.

That voice is remarkable. This tune is a Zevon great that Linda just aced.
Of COURSE we have to mention that Warren Zevon wrote this song. But Linda took it and made it her own.

One of my favorite things about Bill Clinton is that, as cool as he is, his infallible inability to clap in time is just stunning.
Video and audio are not synced very well. The video is ahead about a half a beat. He is on time. Watch and listen closer.

Their general policy approach, though, was tougher on the widening income gap than any other in the last 50 years, with one notably racist regret. When you vote, vote based on what a politician says they're going to do coupled with how well they've followed through on past promises. That whittles down to their record in politics. Read up, and count your own promises kept.

She is the deviant mind he is the charisma. And he is very good at it. Its hard NOT to like his personality but he is a womenizer. some are addicted to money others drugs. Sigh... it always depresses me to see how few people bother to find out where songs came from. Hooray for those of you who knew Warren Zevon wrote and recorded this himself when Terri Clark was just an 8-year-old child.
And Linda's version is fantastic, as always. If you watch some UA-cam versions of her singing this... I agree. She is better as an older woman, and that's quite a feat considering how magnificent she was in the 1970s. Best female rock or country singer there ever was

Linda Ronstadt is still the BEST singer I've ever known. She was one SEXY GIRL back in the '70s. Still so beautiful here in 1996.......AMAZING! Also, a few of her old band members joined her here.......Andrew Gold and Dan Dugmore on guitar, Russ Kunkel on drums...........COOL!

Yes, it is and she is playing it for laughs a bit here - "all those boys won't let me be" - she pantomines that. She is beautiful but older beautiful and, yes, I agree, to me she is the best singer in rock/pop ever - she just gets a song and belts it out or does it justice in a quieter way - always what the song requires. I like the fact too that the guys are still there. Bob Glaub too, I believe.

I’m just curious. In Linda’s older video she seams like she is part of a band and the later videos it’s Linda Ronststadt with her backing band. Was it the way she wanted it or was it the sign of the time that a male dominated industry wasn’t going to let her appear completely in charge. I think she is the best!

Is Bob Glaub there? I thought that was him behind her. I am only going on a few facial expressions and he was certainly my favourite of her band back in her early 80's hey-day. She gets hugely criticised for putting on a few pounds. We all do as we age and her musicians were no exception. They still delivered, as she did. She was the sexiest girl ever back in the 60s, 70s, early 80s. Isn't that enough for anyone? She must have got tired!
