    Jordan the knowledge you have you should be in your 70’s not as young as you are. The attention to detail you have is fucking ridiculous and hopefully summer of 2121 we can chat and have a short block built for myself. Every time I watch a video with you extremely educational and has help me understand things much clearer. My back ground was in snowmobiles either a mono Block 3 cylinder or the badass domestic twin #polaris developed. When I move out of Maine to NC obviously to much need for a snowmobile down here and recently bought a mustang.
    Current set up:
    2.3 TVS, oil pump and crank sprocket, and other suspension mods.
    My original goal and still is absolutely street car with a good bottom end , somewhere in the 750 category which I’m only 70 off that that focus on cooling and have a weekend warrior for back road fun or road course.
    Thanks for the great content and the education
    Happy New Year

    You could easily work a npi head to not only fit a bigger cam than Pi without valve clearance issues, spark plug threads arent a problem, thicker decks, and they can reach over 225cfm on the intake side without removal of the swirl dam which makes for a more efficient combustion chamber despite it being larger than the Pi.

    • @madmod
      @madmod 3 роки тому

      @@randolphniles2332 Even the 96+ Npi castings can be worked to make really good power. Those svo castings are fantastic heads. The idea of worsening the already less than ideal short turn on a PI intake port by raising the seat makes me think you would lose a ton of port volume and have a harder time getting the air to move around the valve. Nick McKenney from MHS had always had good things to say about a properly worked npi head.

      @@karlhopkins713 I did read something about that years ago, but also their heads were so modified they didn't even resemble anything near B-heads. I guess if you have enough boost anything can make power.
      I just can't find a solid thread/article of a ported B-head 'not only' flowing more than C-heads but having similar mid range. Most people just ditch the B-Heads to gain better street manners plus they respond better up to about 900whp - after this I guess you're just pumping in the boost! I just want to know if modified/reworked B-head can be a close contender against a mildly/ported C-head.
      I read it too often, that unless you're going turbo'd they're a bit of a bear to make any actual power - 25psi from an F1A ~ 700hp, kind of bear... Although, some who do make the move to the C-heads (and their intakes), see 100+ whp additional.

    • @midnight347
      @midnight347 2 роки тому +2

      My 07 gt500 clean title with 100k was 16. Huge bang for the buck. I can't afford one of the 40-60 thousand dollar ones but fortunately I lucked up on an older gt500 which has just as much potential. You can build the iron block car cheaper they have the same heads. I'm gonna swap a gen3r engine runs strong and sounds smooth as hell...run it with the gen3r on stock motor for a bit around 750 then do a budget build on the short block and just use stock heads they can support alot of power even without porting and go with cams and headers at the same time. I'd like to make 800-900 to the tire pretty safely without taking the engine or the blower so a gen3r and a 1000 whp capable built iron 5.4 fits the bill perfectly. The early gt500s are big bang for the buck but prices have gone back up on them since I got mine early 2020. I seen several nice 100k mile cars for under 20 now you can't find one anywhere near that price anywhere even with over 100k. I've not seen any below the middle 20s lately the market is crazy. But I get what you're saying this is a more real world build for your average person. My build is like a cross between the two...its a gt500 5.4 4v which is basically same as the 5.8 but iron and smaller bore but ill be going with a little more basic approach like the 2v build minus all the fancy beadwork and stuff I'm going with the nsr cams they will be perfect for what I want.

      The teksid is superior to any factory ford block except for maybe the Ford gt 5.4. They're good for 3k+ on the stock block with just a .002 hone.

      I'd say the same . I would of gone with the Windsor iron 4.6 block . Maybe he should of proved his piont with the 4.6 3 vavle block .
      All the blocks are good . Just not as easy to get

      I think iron blocks are plenty because they were used across every Lincoln,Mercury,f150,mustang,crown Vic,and others that used a v8,and they hold the same amount of horsepower.before windowing

      It isnt just about weight the teksid is just as strong prob even stronger than the iron blocks based on everything I've seen. Teksid block is ideal on any 4.6 build imo if you can make it happen.

    Stock gen 3 coyote engine is less than $5000 on lasco auto parts and will hold 1000 horsepower. Theres no reason to build a 2v anymore.

      I debated the Gen 3 / 10R80 swap to do in this car. From a content perspective I figured it would have been cool to do a 2v build. Its always possible we could switch it up later or swap another car.

      @@MustangLifestyleTV I fully respect your decision. I still wanna do a coyote rod in a 2v and throw a tork tech kit on It and see it rip

      While coyote swaps are awesome .... there is a place and a very big market for alot more 2 vavle stuff . It's been hugly misding for decade's.
      I'm sure this will peak the interest of alot of people . Even more so if yoy do hit you higher expectations.

      I think saying a gen 3 will "hold" 1000 rwhp s a little misleading. Yea there are guys out there pushing 1000 on stock engines but let's be honest it isnt that common. I wouldn't say 1000 wheel is widely excepted as "safe" on a gen 3 coyote. However when he's done building this 2v it'll be 1000 whp that can run 8.50s consistently for 300-500 passes without needing a teardown (Jordan's exact words in this video btw) i dont think a stock gen 3 would get you that. Just my .02. Also I think a 2v build is cool because everybody treats it as a throwaway engine with no potential and that is just false.
