    This is one of the closest I’ve heard, the jazz bridge pickup is what really does it I think. It’s always weird when people use a stock rickenbacker

    • @captainnuggie1831

      I always thought so to, a little too much top end in stock Ric pickups

      It depends on the genre of music you play. Most Motown music was made on the back of a stock Rickenbacker. Metal, you're better off with Fender basses or Soapbox pickups.

      @@rocafella142 I guess that's why Cliff mostly switched to the single soapbar Aria later on

      @@AnnoyingOrange420 The aria pickups weren't soapbar. Underneath the cover, it's really just a reversed P bass pickup. Not even a "Humbucker"

      @@Farewelltokingz Well a soapbar can be anything, that name just refers to how it looks. I didn't know the specifics, only that it was a humbucker of some sort.

      Thanks, but the bass is a knockoff. I figured if I was going to hack into it to make the pickups fit, I better start with a less expensive model. Tone is from the pedals and pickups. The bass is just to look cool ;)

    What is the difference with the Cs2 Compressor and the Cs3 Compressor? I don’t know which one to get

    • @captainnuggie1831
      @captainnuggie1831  2 роки тому

    One tip about cliffs tone a lot of people don’t know and you’re missing… he had a single coil Stratocaster pickup underneath the bridge…
    It was jammed right up under the bridge where they used to put foam inserts…
    It had a master switch, you can actually see him flick that switch live, and if you zoom in onto pictures of his bass… you can just make it out

      Yes sir, a Morley 20/20 power fuzz wah,
      I have the power wah boost as well, but it doesn't quite fit with the tube screamer, if you want a good tone with the boost, you'll have to use a big muff pedal, personally I use a jhs muffaletta,
      It's the same as a classic big muff, but it has the circuits of 6 different fuzz pedals.
      But the biggest part of the tone is the Morley wah followed by the tube screamer.
