Realiser A16 Basics part 5: SD cards and firmware updates

Entry level operation of the Smyth Realiser A16. This video explains the required micro SD card file system and the folders expected by the A16 for holding firmware update files, PRIR files and HPEQ files. Finally it demonstrates how to download a firmware update file from our website and start the update process on the A16.

Important to note that Firmware v1.02 require you to reset settings: "STEP 5. The firmware update is now complete. However, for rev 1.02 it is also necessary to invoke a ‘Restore factory setup’ to ensure all settings are also updated. This step will overwrite all User A and User B Presets 1-4 as well as all Atmos/DTS:X and PCM sound rooms 1-4 and any PRIR/HPEQ measurements in the recycle memory. It would be nice to have some .exe or even .zip which would have this folder structure explained in this video ready made. I spend 2 days wondering why I cannot save HPEQ's to sd-card, now I learned I need HPEQS folder, not HPEQ I quessed... I tried to find this info from the user manual with no luck.

ON YOUR UPDATE 1.80 YOU ZIPPED IT INSIDE A FOLDER, People will go mad lol.. please re upload, a new zip. with no folder. cant explain , but what a pain to update 1.80. realizer did not find file. intill I taken out the update out of the folder... this video does not do that. hope this helps.

I had hoped that the "OH" button on the remote would start to work after the upgrade to v1.02, but not so. Are you aware of this? Fix in next firmvare rev.?

The "OH" button works with Firmware 1.75 OCT 15 2019. Great!
