Great video, many thanks! What a great year '67 was, you came up with so many amazing albums. VU & Nico a worthy winner! Never been keen on Sgt. Pepper, so The Doors would have been No. 2 for me. Talking of "Bang Bang", have you ever heard Cambodian singer Pan Ron's version "Snaeha"? My favourite version of the song! There's a few albums I need to check out on your list! Thanks again.
Just a little correction. That album from Humble Pie is from 1970. The band with Steve Marriott and Peter Frampton. Humble Pie very well known with their double live album "Performance Rockin' The Fillmore" (1971). We all make little mistakes; for a video of 40 great debut albums, I showed "Vienna" of Ultravox, but that was not their debut album! Also "Organisation" of OMD was not their debut album, nor "Birth School Work Death" from The Godfathers. So 3 bugs in 1 video. Your brain is living his own life sometimes :-) greetz Jason
Very nice video! I was born in 1967! Very nice to learn that Herman Brood played in Cuby & The Blizzards!!! Give me the link of your video about Herman Brood! I will enjoy that a lot! Thanx! The Velvet Underground & Nico absolute winners on the 1st place!! On the last record fair I went to, I saw that pink album "Surrealistic Pillow", but I didn't buy it. I regret it! A record which you forgot is the Dutch Band The Outsiders. Their very nice debut is from 1967. I have it! I am a very big Doors and Velvet Underground fan. I collect their records. greetz Jason
@@top5records796great choices. That year is indeed so stacked with big guns so that something like "Axis: bold as love" 'only' is on 27 😀 and of course you can't rank them all, because then you would need to do a top 100.
Please listen to San Francisco Nights by Eric Burdon and the Animals off Winds of Change. If not for the sake of this LIST, Then for the sake of your own piece of mind. LOL Enjoyed your list. I would have include Eric and Strawberry Alarm Clock.
You are absolutely right! Thanks for noticing it! I accidentally switched the selftitled Humble Pie album with the selftitled Procol Harum album. My apologies! Procol Harum should be there, awesome album!
It's crazy what a great year for music 1967 was. What a mix of established bands reaching new heights and new bands bursting onto the scene. I think I already said it on your Between The Buttons video, but that is my personal favorite Stones album. I agree that it is probably them at their most British. Cool to see Buffalo Springfield Again, as I was listening to Broken Arrow this week. I am not a huge Neil Young fan, but that song is amazing, with all those "avant garde" elements (but while remaining very melodic). Many other classics, too. Great point about Vanilla Fudge influencing Deep Purple. Those first two Purple albums (before Gillian and Glover) totally lifted the concept of the heavy, elaborate covers of pop songs. I admit I missed that. The Fudge were a fun band. Something Else by The Kinks is one of my favorite albums ever. Probably my #1 from this great year. (Interestingly, it is not my favorite Kinks album, but it is up there.) I got that album when I was five and played David freakin' Watts every day before school. And I still can't get enough. VU&N is a great pick for #1!
Amazing list, cheers from Spain.
Thank you!

That is indeed a coincidence! I’m curious what you think of this one.

Moody Blues @ # 47? I had to close the video....
The rest is really even better.

I am happy to hear that! To me it also just felt like a rush of energy to simply go through this year.
