Hi, I have a 2008 BMW 535d E61 with a Denso AC compressor. It makes a moaning/groaning sound at certain engine RPMs especially at 1400RPM which is the worst and corresponds to 60 MPH road speed. Note this is a Diesel engine so doesn't rev very high. I have already replaced all the serpentine belt idlers and pulleys, and I have replaced the AC compressor clutch bearing but the noise still remains. The noise also goes away when I disengage the AC clutch which makes me pretty sure it's an internal problem. Do you think that adding 5-15ml of oil is worth trying and if so, can the oil be added without depressurising the system? If internal damage has occurred, presumably I would need to have all the AC pipes and evaporator and condenser flushed to remove debris? Is this effective or would I also need to buy new parts? Thanks.
Yeah it worths adding mill of oil into it, yes it can be added without depressurizing the system, I made two videos on how to add oil into car ac system which teaches you the proper way of adding oil without loosening your refrigerant. Before adding oil you need to check if the system internal structure is depleted,
I also have a bmw using a Denso compressor. I noticed a gear whining sound when moving off and the sound got louder. At first i tot bearing issue. Brought to an aircon specialist shop and the mechanic told me that it is not the bearing and it is likely loss of lubrication. He topped up the lube and the sound went away. Hope this helps.
I got this clicking noise coming from my center console of my dashboard when my ac is on and I’m driving by unstable roads (sometimes is working perfectly) my ac works pretty well and I don’t know what could it be. Also, sometimes my car’s windshield and side doors get foggy but mostly the right side. There’s no leaks coming under the side passenger but I don’t know if it’s something like coolant leaks or clogged components.

The cooling is very weak and cools if you press the accelerator pedal, knowing that the color of the oil is gray and not clear. Can it be repaired by removing and cleaning? Can I remove the bearing without taking the compressor out and depressurizing the system? I have similar issue. no loss of coldness but a small noise at compressor
ive seen someone do that on a honda accord if the bearings shot the rest of the pump probably is too clutches are like 150$+ whole new compressor 200-300$
I have an 03 Tahoe with the belt off the pulley when you turn it is kind of rough when it should just freewheel..is that bearing like you showed..the older model?
@@drcoolautofix Can it be fixed on the vehicle without discharging? It still cools just getting noiser and noisier i removed the belt for now in case it locked up knocked drive belt off
I sincerely need to know, when my compressor is blowing very fine, extremely fine and obviously the bearing is not bad, had to bring it down and find out the compressor oil has been contaminated and niw looks so black, can that be the reason, if i clean it up and remount it will it work fine? Please i sincerely need your response.
I have an Acura ilx hybrid 2014 the mechanic told me that the bearings are gone and I need a new compressor can I just replace the bearings instead buying a whole new one it’s quite expensive

Not in my case it rattles only when the compressor is on ac is cold. Changed the pulley same issue.
