Last year we were playing all the time with a healthy team, this year not at all. We've been completely blindsided by injuries and drama lol
If someone has to go it needs to be Miller it is always Miller and somebody else when there are issues .he is ultimately the problem if you trade petterson it will only be a matter of time before you have to trade someone else that Miller pisses off the problem will still be in the dressing room
The thing is Miller has been upset with guys not giving the max. The team desperately needs that. However they've assembled that's got edge, but at the cost of scoring goals. Petterson has not.
Ever stop to think that JT is the solution and these soft players like Petey and Boeser are the problem? Let me ask you, would you want a team of 6’s and 40’s or a team of 9’s . JT is just frustrated that he cannot change how these soft players play. Trying to fix things you have no control over is futile, I get it, but having a guy in the room who demands effort and commitment is a keeper in my book. JT is just upset that all these young players play so goddam soft. I see it every game. Watch Boeser and count how many times he could finish a check but instead just turns around. It’s embarrassing and I’m glad JT isn’t having it.
Correct. He is a problem for soft , peremiter players that go MIA for 50 games at a stretch. The playoffs are not won with soft players. The hard -nosed players that battle for the puck and take the physicality carry the load for the soft players.

I've just seen him do too much toxic stuff on the ice.
It’s obvious moving JT is the solution. If they move Pettersen, JT could have a problem with another team member. If they move JT, chances are that the locker room will be a lot more comfortable
@@r.giuliano I'd rather take a chance on a player in a slump than a player with an attitude/personality problem. If EP is traded, JT will find an issue with another teammate.
Just look at how Pettersson played when Miller took personal leave and compare this to his production when Miller is on the ice. Miller hasn't seen the same kind of bounce now that Pettersson has been side-lined (even accounting for Hughes' absence), so it makes sense to move Miller on especially as all the locker room bust-ups centre around him

@@adamskinner-fu4vb he doesn't have to, though, that's why there's a coach. He let the whole league know he's easy to get to by doing that and now the Nucks are paying for it.
If I was in charge of a team in a Canadian market, I would stop all of the players from doing any interviews during these situations. Release a statement saying, ‘media gossip is distracting our players’, just to see if the ‘journalists’, start blaming each other for lack of access. Media harassment of players is one reason that Canadian teams are on so many ‘no-trade’ lists, and they would be wise to address it.
The biggest problem is the media physically can't be held accountable for what they say because who's gonna make them stop when they can't stop them. They're free to make up whatever bullshit they want and then it makes its way to the locker room and causes rifts.
The fact Allvin couldn't read the room 2 years ago blows my mind. It was obvious back then they should have resigned Horvat and traded Miller. Obvious then even more evident now Allvin fd royally.
Well, this went from nothing to something very quickly. Everyone talks about Miller's fiery personality, and I'd imagine Pettersson isn't the only one who's tired of it.
Which is why it hasn't been kept "in house", and why Miller was the one taking a break, not Pettersson. Miller is gone IMO, and Tocchet next if things don't improve. People talk about EP40's contract being difficult to move, but the fact is the management gave him that on the basis of player he is - not the player he could be if he threw more checks, got in the gym, "started moving his feet more" or whatever other nonsense suggestions are being made for a 100 point player with a 100 mph slapshot. They have made a big investment and they want a coach who can make it pay. Tocchet doesn't look like that coach.
And a lot of fans are waiting for Pete to grow up and own his shit. I imagine some players are very tired of the Bambi act after 6.5 years and 11.6 for the next eight.
If im briere i hunt pettersson like your team depends on it. You have the resources and cap, you have what they need, and pettersson is exactly what you need and what you've needed for a while. Just imagining a line with either tippett or konecny with him would be amazing for the flyers
I couldn't agree more on not trading either. Bold of you to call the current Canucks defense a couple #3s, a couple of 5/6s and then a couple 7s. More like Tyler Myers is playing the best hockey he ever has behind a d-core of #7s
Imagine they get traded together. Honestly would be a big brain move. No team would turn that down, and then they can go ruin the locker room of a rival
It seems that the team dynamics shifted significantly after Kuzzy departed and the two new players joined. Pettey, in particular, transformed following Kuzzy's exit and the all-star break.
I understand that this wont be a popular take, but in my opinion the worst thing that happened to this team was last seasons crazy PDO run, and it leading fans and the org to believe that this team was amongst the best in the league. They are very obviously a tier below, a playoff team, but not at the level of VGK, Oilers, Panthers etc. Expectations were blown out of the water in a year that any non-biased fan would expect some regression.
@@shanevanc i mean, demko is obviously (or at least for multiple seasons /was/ obviously) a game-breaker - his health is just declining fast now, and there's no way to tell if he can be (or even still is) a top-tier goaltender in the league. he's been so good for us that we've literally repeatedly made win-now moves that hurt us in the long-term because we were winning solely due to his performance. as soon as he was injured, the losses came in bunches. as for pettersson, he absolutely had game-breaking potential, but something (mental health, physical health, something else - who knows) seems to have stalled or stopped that development, and i would agree that over his past hundred-ish games he's been a very good /but not amazing - and certainly not a game-breaking/ - player. something literally seems to have changed with his body - maybe it's him growing into his frame more or putting on more muscle, but whatever the case, he's considerably slower, far less dynamic in his stickhandling and footwork, and his shot isn't nearly as dangerous.
The Oilers will do this to teams lol. They completely broke the flames after eliminating them in 22, and while I wouldn't say the Canucks are broken, I would imagine that nothing has felt the same about the Canucks since the miller goal late in game 5 vs the Oilers. Hockey is crazy sometimes.
I loved JT last year. But tbh. Pettersson is here to stay. He back checks, works his butt off. Constantly asks to play against the top guys on the other team. He wants to win and do everything he can to win. He even played last years playoffs with a lingering injury! That shows heart! Then there is miller... who only shows when he wants to.. screws the team over in overtime multiple times, doesn't lead by example, wont do things to win unless he is told to( im guessing thats why when tocchet came in he decided to change his ways) then this year jt miller is back to his baby antics. lol Without pettey this team looks lost on offence.... Cuzz he leads by example. Jt miller is not as elite as people think he is. Im a die hard canucks fan. Miller is overrated and he has a massive ego and pettey doesn't like it. so thats why miller took the personal time. probably to decide if he wants to win and lead by example or just play how he thinks he wants to play. theres a reason why he hasn't lead a team to the finals( even with tampa and the rangers) He is a second line center/winger. not a first line. we better keep pettey or god help me lol
If Allvin had done his job in the offseason and signed a competent 4-5 D instead of fillers none of this drama would have happened. Allvin failed and it's pretty obvious the team has suffered for it.
We have experienced management, (Rutherford) A deal will happen when it benefits the Canucks now and long term, They need their "regular" lineup playing for a while to even know where they are at.
As a Sabres fan id love to see Pettersson in Buffalo as apparently he and Dahlin are good buddies but to be honest I think this feud is being blown out of proportion! So what they dont get along , this happens all the time on winning teams!
The way I hear it from Friedman is that my Habs could get both players, either player or neither player. I am now excited and engaged. Well done Friedman 🤣
As a Habs fan I would love EP40. I don't think we'd want Miller because of his clear attitude/personality issues. Pettersson feels like a great guy personally, he's got a killer shot, and he actually tries defensively. At his cap hit it might be a little bit much, but given he probably immediately goes to the 1st line and Slaf goes back to the 2nd line (assuming Slaf isn't a piece in the deal) then I think that could be a fantastic line-up and help Montreal get to the playoffs. Having Pettersson and Laine on the same team as well with how good their shots are my god that would be just insane for us lol
I was speculative that the Sharks would offer him a contract in the summer i was super disapointed when he signed the long term. Now im speculative again. I think Petey would get us back into some sort of contention. I wonder if we could offer pieces like Bordeleau, Guschin, Robins & some solid picks.
Vancouver lost 3-0 last game. Against a sh*t team. AGAIN. Without EP40 and a star defender. Miller folded. AGAIN. Dude, with all due respect it is time for you to start calling out Tocchet's coaching and preference for playing Miller on the first line. Just focus on that. Vancouver will be stuck in 1-2 round for 5 years unless a change is made in Tocchets mentality when it comes to this situation. He caters to Miller.
You want me to call out the coach? The team isn't good enough. He can put Miller wherever he wants, but there's no point man without Hronek and Hughes.
@@TheHockeyGuy I do want Vancouver media and you to be more brave in your analysis. Tocchet is never criticized. Anyhow - it is a good channel. Thumbs up on that.
There isn't one poster on thi8s thread wh9 has even a fifth of Tocchet's knowledge and ability .. one of the best i have seen for decades. Crawford was a hot head. Torts was worse. keenan Travis Greene were lousy.. Rick ley was unbelievably stupid. and we are whining about Tocchet? I have yet to see him vent on his players, and he has made some of them better eg: Garland and myers
The Canucks have been dealing with injury after injury this season and are still in a playoff spot. It was obvious that defence was a weakness and they spent money at forward… Heinens 2mil probably could have been used on the back end instead. I think if they would stop using “pairs” and just play the top 6 forwards in the top 6 it just makes way more sense. Playing Garland on the third line at 4,9mil is a waste. And really; they need more size upfront to fight through tight checking. Miller and Joshua can be your top 6 guys but there’s no one else in the bottom 6. I really like Sherwood and Blueger in the bottom 6 but they don’t have the size and could use a guy on their LW to make a solid third line. There’s too many Oak Trees in the back end instead of just big D that are good two way defensemen. They really need a top 4 RHD badly. I’d also like to see them stop punishing guys after a win. Taking guys out of the line up after a win is demoralizing. No one’s perfect and they’re paid to win so getting punished for it doesn’t make sense to me. If it’s because a guy is returning from injury sure - you shouldn’t lose your spot for an injury; but some of the moves like that and not calling timeouts etc are really getting to me. I don’t think trading Miller or Petey is the answer because unless you address size upfront, get a top 4 D and a second line center - then you’re just going to have a problem remaining…
For sports. Anger can be energy. A fight can change the game. Ask ex-coach Doug MacLean about it. Some fans and the media can flip out as if they’re losing money on bets too often. 😂 The obvious: Win sixteen playoff games AFTER making it to the playoffs - without too many sidelining injuries.
I don't think he'd want that. After his performance this year, he's gotta have his sights set on a starting job. On the other hand, those are rare, so he might accept a one or two year deal until he can find the right fit. Vancouver might be able to help him with a trade once Silovs is ready, and I'm sure they'd show their gratitude for his work.
The other issue that no one is addressing is the coach when he looks in the mirror he sees Millers reflection. his post game interviews are brutal .calling out your staff in public all the time as a really short shelf life with your team you need to be savvy enough these days to coach a whole bunch of different personalities and get the best out of them .
Coaching staff inability to change up their game plan. Doing the same shit over and over. Can't break out, going a whole period with one shot. Can't even get out of their own end even when going 6 on 5. And of course can't shut it down and protect a lead. Not calling a timeout when other team is rallying, example Seattle game a week ago
@@shanevanc true, but something is up with this team obviously the injuries play a role. Great goaltending ain't gonna save them right now. There are just way too many issues lol

Team scoring and performance went down the day they traded Kuzmenko. Should have been Petey and Kuz, then Miller with Boeser. Instead we have this drama.
@thebigpickuz was this year's Hoglander! He wasn't going to return to that level of goal scoring and was a horrible fit in RT's D first system!!! ture2032
To rid the team of the split in the room, assuming there is a split, both players need to be traded. Otherwise, the team will still be split, with the split even wider. Think about it: one side happy their guy survived, with the other side ticked off that their guy is gone and now even more ticked off because they have to fall in behind the guy who survived.
When other fans talk about how difficult the Canadian markets are with the media, people poopoo that idea, but this whole issue is the perfect example of the media / fans making everything worse and in most US markets, it would have been kept in house. The Blues are one of those teams that are able to do this best. Years ago, there was a locker room divide. But I can’t even say there was a rumor about it. I heard it 3rd or 4th hand from a reputable source. But it never made it out where the local media or fans talked about it. An out of town reporter did write a piece about it 2-3 years after I had heard about it, and the team and its broadcasters all denied it was a thing, and it kinda went away. In the Canadian markets, they seem to like to keep picking at it until it bleeds.
I was SO goddamn frustrated when he just kinda wandered out of the net "injured". Wtf?! He looked fine, how could it have been that bad?!? This fkn team has the worst injury luck maybe ever.
Rangers have depth in defensemen that Canucks can look at. Other than the 6 that dressed for the game against Hawks (K-Miller, Fox, Vaak, Borg, Schneider, Lingren), Rangers have Zac Jones on the bench and in the AHL roster with Ruwedel, Macini,Harpur and Mackey. I could see Zac Jones gets throw in there as to sweeten the deal for JT Miller. The one thing about Mika is that, he got a NMC, he will have to waived that if they were to move him.
JT Miller would be exactly what the Rangers need. The trade would have to include JT Miller 8.0, Filip Hronek 7.250, Adam Fox 9.5, Chris Kreider 6.5, K'Andre Miller 3.872, or Mika Zibanejad 8.5. Good luck figuring that out. JT Miller 8.0 for Steven Stamkos 8.0 would be good for Nashville. Crosby for Elias Pettersson would be perfect. JT Miller and Crosby would be tough in the playoffs. Crosby 8.7, Marcus Pettersson ($4.025) 50% retained, and Rakell 5.0 for Elias Pettersson 11.6, Elias Pettersson dman, Jonathan Lekkerimaki, and Nils Hoglander 1.1 (3.0) and Vincent Desharnais 2.0.
JT Miller is the problem with the Canucks locker room. If the Rangers are willing to trade Mika Zibanejad for him and another piece, that would be a steal. Zibanejad is an elite 1C with a great 200 foot game.

This all comes down to what has happened as to if they can work it out, it isnt impossible that it has gone to far. My big issue is this, and this is with the presumption that Miller has bullied Pettersson, that is part of the narrative but we do NOT know if this is true. However, if it is true, in what other workplace do we tell the bully and the bullied to work it out? Because that is what many are saying. Is that what you tell your bullied kid who comes home from school with bruises? Hey either work it out or fight back. But dad he weighs 35 pounds more than me, well you have to fight him anyway or just take it. That isnt what you do, at least no normal people. You either talk to the other guys parents and if that doesnt work you talk to the school. Now in the movies the little kid fights back and wins, but this isnt the MOVIES! Not saying this is what has happened here, but it at least seems as if it has gotten to a level it hasnt gotten before
Most times being a Canucks fan sucks. But right now i just wanna put my head into the ground, this citys media IS THE PROBLEM HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE PROBLEM AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE THE PROBLEM.
If a trade has to happen and you want to win now or very soon, trading Pettersson makes the most sense as you can probably get more in return, not to mention freeing up more cap space to acquire what you need to win now or very soon. I think if a trade does happen, it'll be very difficult to make Canuck fans happy with it unless you get something absurd in return, because fans like them both.
Trading EP40 would ruin the team 2-3 years down the line and further. It's shortsighted for a low chance at better playoff odds. Or you keep him and have much better odds over time.
@blackhawks9763 you're wrong and dumb. Petey is #2 or 3 on the nucks. It's Hughes then Him. Petey has the points, defensive play, and the positioning. Miller is like #5.
@@irwinrommel2099 Completely wrong. Lank is better than pEtEy. IF Hughes and Lank weren’t on the team, this team is at the bottom besides Nashville and Chicago. And for this season, it’s Hughes, Lank, Garland, Boeser, Miller, DeBrusk.
Excellent breakdown of situation, thanks for going over this. I drafted Miller 13th overall, over Kaprizov like a dumbass, in fantasy league because it counts Hits and immediately regretted it 🙁 so please Canucks make a move that helps him get to at least point per game.
I don't know why they are called "REPORTS" that would indicate some kind of journalism. They're just spewing out rumors and non-specifics. 'If they trade one of the two centres, they want a centre and D back." Well duh!
If the Canucks were to trade one of these players, wouldn’t they have all the leverage in this scenario? Both players under contract long term. It’s not like they HAVE to trade one. Just because the noise is loud doesn’t need you have to trade one of those players. Especially if you’re getting a poor return
Seems like Vancouver is a magnet for locker room troubles... It's definitely blown out of proportion, but I agree with Friedman that Hughes just poured oil into the fire... That means to me that it's not as minor as they try to show, because apparently the locker room can feel the tension... If it was up to me I'd suggest to trade both of them and clean up the air over there... they both have high value that they can get quality pieces in return and spread the weight a little bit better... And decide if they want keep Boeser... Maybe ship him at the deadline... They can get a very good piece for him... Maybe get some draft picks and flip them for some players... and Sign Lankinen he's been 2nd most important man on the roster...
If One person is always part of the issue, that's where the problem lies so I would expect Miller to go. He had issues with other teams as well I believe
Alvin would be smart NOT to trade either one of these players. You are dealing from a position of weakness and the whole league knows it. To make a trade to solve a problem that may or may not exist (a good old four game winning streak tends to smooth a lot of these "problems" out), almost always works against your favor.
Well it’s good click bait for sure. If we were back in the non-internet days, I wonder if this would be just a story on the local radio station by some commentator.

So accurate and so sad 😢
If someone has to go it needs to be Miller it is always Miller and somebody else when there are issues .he is ultimately the problem if you trade petterson it will only be a matter of time before you have to trade someone else that Miller pisses off the problem will still be in the dressing room
The common denominator has to go, well said.

Caught on this aswell. No way he's gonna settle for 1,5M. Some sucker will pay him something similar Ottawa paid to Korpisalo.... but as a Finn myself, I hope that sucker will get a good starter in Lankinen :D

I'm just going off vibes and I'm not a Canucks fan so take this with a grain of salt but if I had to bet I'd say that if the Canucks trade Petterson he will become a great player again and if they trade Miller he will turn someone on that tram toxic too. I've just seen him do too much toxic stuff on the ice.
100%
It’s obvious moving JT is the solution. If they move Pettersen, JT could have a problem with another team member. If they move JT, chances are that the locker room will be a lot more comfortable
There's been too much comfort in the room for too long.
But what if petey’s on ice problem isn’t really miller and he just keeps playing like he has for the last 12 months
@@r.giuliano I'd rather take a chance on a player in a slump than a player with an attitude/personality problem. If EP is traded, JT will find an issue with another teammate.
I applaud your rational anaylsis of this situation instead on the mindless click bait you see everywhere else.
Just look at how Pettersson played when Miller took personal leave and compare this to his production when Miller is on the ice. Miller hasn't seen the same kind of bounce now that Pettersson has been side-lined (even accounting for Hughes' absence), so it makes sense to move Miller on especially as all the locker room bust-ups centre around him
Exactly
He's also 31 and overpaid, or will be in a year or two.

Better be option one. I'd be so torn if Miller left and I'd also hate to see Petey go as well.

Remember when Miller smacked the net to get Collin Delia to go the bench for the extra attacker 2 years ago? I thought that was pretty immature...
But it’s more mature for a professional goaltender to have his finger up his butt staring at the rafters instead of hauling ass to the bench? Pfft get real - JT shouldn’t have to coach his teammates.
Grow up.
Or the one time he intentionally checked that one guy in the back of the head and got a Double minor for it? Miller when he is being a baby is an absolute bum but when he wants to play he can play good like last season.
@@thegreatcanadianlumberjack5307 Miller is taking the heat each and every game in front of the net as a 1C. Miller's production as a Canuck usurps 11.6 in every way-inclusing PPG ,faceoffs, battle tenacity and took less $$ to remain a Canuck. 11.6 held out and then went MIA.
@@adamskinner-fu4vb he doesn't have to, though, that's why there's a coach. He let the whole league know he's easy to get to by doing that and now the Nucks are paying for it.

Vancouver needs a babysitter
Dont they already have that, by the name of Aquilini?
They certainly need an adult in the room...
I heard they now serve beer in sippy cups in Rogers Arena in Vancouver

If I was in charge of a team in a Canadian market, I would stop all of the players from doing any interviews during these situations. Release a statement saying, ‘media gossip is distracting our players’, just to see if the ‘journalists’, start blaming each other for lack of access. Media harassment of players is one reason that Canadian teams are on so many ‘no-trade’ lists, and they would be wise to address it.
Since covid they've barley done media. You can't hide 24 7
I hope they don't, but at the same time the media probably won't shut up about it unless we do so rip
The biggest problem is the media physically can't be held accountable for what they say because who's gonna make them stop when they can't stop them. They're free to make up whatever bullshit they want and then it makes its way to the locker room and causes rifts.
Get ya on the media, but I don't think the media caused this, they just reporting on it.

To me this feels like a case of EP40 needing to grow the fuck up and JT Miller needing to calm the fuck down. *smh
No kidding eh.
Yuuuuuuuuuuuuup
He's tired of the media asking about it.
Finally someone to help me make sense of the big thing dominating the socials right now!!!
If im briere i hunt pettersson like your team depends on it. You have the resources and cap, you have what they need, and pettersson is exactly what you need and what you've needed for a while. Just imagining a line with either tippett or konecny with him would be amazing for the flyers
petey is not even worth HALf of what he is being paid. i am so done with this lousy outfit
Maybe a small rift to start but driven by media out of proportion. You are really good at that
I couldn't agree more on not trading either.
Bold of you to call the current Canucks defense a couple #3s, a couple of 5/6s and then a couple 7s. More like Tyler Myers is playing the best hockey he ever has behind a d-core of #7s
Freij always droppin knowledge
"They'll be looking for a center in return"
John Madden of hockey over here 😂
Imagine they get traded together.
That's the funny thing. It was an insane run last year that no one expected.
So many players overachieved in shooting %. It was obvious that those numbers would come back down to normal this season.
Great take, dude 😄 Canucks fans are always over hyping star players. Especially true of Petterson and Demco . Both have impressed, but game breakers?
Demko reminds me of Freddie Anderson. Good goal tender and has way too many injuries. I’d replace him with Lanky for the Canucks.
Ride this one out, trade neither and wait for everyone to get healthy. It's a good team, don't blow it up for injuries.
I loved JT last year.
But tbh. Pettersson is here to stay.
He back checks, works his butt off.
Constantly asks to play against the top guys on the other team. He wants to win and do everything he can to win.
He even played last years playoffs with a lingering injury! That shows heart!
Then there is miller... who only shows when he wants to..
screws the team over in overtime multiple times, doesn't lead by example, wont do things to win unless he is told to( im guessing thats why when tocchet came in he decided to change his ways)
then this year jt miller is back to his baby antics. lol
Without pettey this team looks lost on offence....
Cuzz he leads by example.
Jt miller is not as elite as people think he is.
Im a die hard canucks fan. Miller is overrated and he has a massive ego and pettey doesn't like it. so thats why miller took the personal time. probably to decide if he wants to win and lead by example or just play how he thinks he wants to play. theres a reason why he hasn't lead a team to the finals( even with tampa and the rangers)
He is a second line center/winger. not a first line.
we better keep pettey or god help me lol
Yeah I know, JT Miller literally is a baby.
@@NerdAlert66 I fully agree, good points
Miller is over 30, with 6 goals this season, and Pettersson is more talented and younger - trading Pettersson wouldn't make any sense.
I like the Peteyand desharnais for Nelson, Nelson, and Dobson out of NYI
Our defensive core was better in 2011 when we had 5 or 6 solid number #4 defenceman, some of them being #2 or 3s as well. When injuries come up etc
U having nothing to trade lol
The Ranger trade is good for both, especially Vancouver in my opinion. The big but is the center coming to Vancouver might be spent, that is the risk.
The way I hear it from Friedman is that my Habs could get both players, either player or neither player. I am now excited and engaged. Well done Friedman 🤣
Montreal getting both EP40 and JTM would be the most epically crazy outcome, so that's the one I endorse
I would trade Dach, Mailloux and a First for Pettersson
That petey contract is really bad , would completely throw off the team salary structure .
Habs fans are always thinking they can get great players, well you gonna have to give up equally good players, then you’re stuck with our problems 😂
great hockey knowledge & opinion. Jeez, Shannon! Get a mainstream show on Sirius or TSN already!
As a Jets fan, I think Pettersson would solve a huge issue we're having right now with a lack of a strong 2C
11 million is too much for a 2 C
I thought he was a winger?
I have never been shy about calling out coaches, even for the Canucks. Tocchet isn't to blame for the roster not being good enough.
Put lotto line back together and tell them to ' figure it out!! '
Vancouver deals with injuries EVERY season. more than any other team in the league
The Canucks drama reminds me of the mid to late 80s Leafs drama....yah, I'm that old 😂
Leeman and …. Iafrate ? Someone’s wife ?
I'm an old Leafs fan, too. Are you suggesting that either Miller or Petey cheated with the other's wife, or something? LOL
Lank should get a 3 or 4 year deal for 2 to 2.5 million aav
Excellent point. As such the whole team has become imbued with Tocketness. Petey is a misfit.
@@Kyumilli good points but lack of finish sticks out so much I wonder is the no coaching regimen for shooting, same for skating.

To rid the team of the split in the room, assuming there is a split, both players need to be traded. Otherwise, the team will still be split, with the split even wider.
I used to bet on Peterson scoring, he would instantly pass it. trade him
No killer instinct. miller has it. Without that, you will never win a cup
Didn't a similar situation happen in Ottawa a few years ago between Stone and Hoffman? Both ended up being traded.

OMG imagine if Miller goes to the Rangers and Petterson stays in Vancouver the first game the have against each other is going to be crazy
I hope it's miller only because I have a pettersson reverse retro 😂
I think the best outcome is have them work things out. If not, it sounds like Miller should be the one to go as he had issues with other players too.
Pettersson for Marner

It would be really hard to move either of those contracts now, it seems more logical to do it in the off season.

I agree with THG. The Canucks are better with Miller and Petey at their best. It can still be rectified.
JT Miller is the problem with the Canucks locker room. If the Rangers are willing to trade Mika Zibanejad for him and another piece, that would be a steal. Zibanejad is an elite 1C with a great 200 foot game.
That was Zib 2.5 years ago. I imagine no GMs other than Drury actually believe he is a 1C now.
Tell that same thing to Rangers fans lol. “A 200 foot game” not currently.
Even without the EP40-Miller drama, the Canucks have this season had so many issues that have dragged them into at best a wildcard spot.

Excellent breakdown of situation, thanks for going over this. I drafted Miller 13th overall, over Kaprizov like a dumbass, in fantasy league because it counts Hits and immediately regretted it 🙁 so please Canucks make a move that helps him get to at least point per game.
The media has blown this out proportion. Thanx😢
I don't know why they are called "REPORTS"
that would indicate some kind of journalism.
He had issues with other teams as well I believe
the rift in van locker room has been on-going since mark messier
Unfortunately yes 🤣
30 years, eh?
If you move Miller your probably moving Boeser tooo just saying and does that mean we rebuilding or retooling
Alvin would be smart NOT to trade either one of these players. You are dealing from a position of weakness and the whole league knows it.
To make a trade to solve a problem that may or may not exist (a good old four game winning streak tends to smooth a lot of these "problems" out), almost always works against your favor.
As a Swede I would love the Zibanajed deal plus a defender. I think Petey and Mika would play great together.
No
I think the Miller/Petterson drama is blown out of proportion, and some people are just using it as a cope for how this season is going.
Well it’s good click bait for sure. If we were back in the non-internet days, I wonder if this would be just a story on the local radio station by some commentator.
No. Miller is a problem. If you call out players, you BETTER BE world class. He is not. Such a hypocrite. Redneck. Bush league.
It's funny when the drama is on another team, but not when it's your team. We don't need this junk. Trade them both to make room for Quinn's next contract.
hey Shannon, good post as always. Miller gone, history of not getting along with teammates. And a true leader doesn't take 10 games off after being benched...enough said.
Miller was banged up in the playoffs and was late to training camp for whatever ails him.
He still struggles with his skating even after his absence. Sit him or trade him but right now the bad outweighs the good in his game.
