Totally agree with you big man , when you find a a tyre centre that looks after your wheels and a independent jag specialist who looks after the car, it gives you peace of mind when handing the car over to them. My jaguar specialist told me he doesn’t what my money , he wants my business . Looking forward to the oil change 👍
I have the 19” Carelia style 10 spoke on my XK but have always preferred the 20” Sentas. Unfortunately they are $1000.00 a piece here in the states for nice ones. After almost a year of searching I found a back box from a 4.2 Xkr and can’t wait to get it cleaned up and installed. Your videos are awesome! Thanks again Paul!!
Agree , I've used the same tyre , wheels and battery guy for 20 years plus. Plus he's competitive. He also does my wife's car Seat FR and my daily which is a Mercedes CLA 250 4matic sport shooting brake. If there're good stick with them. He's a small independent. Just had mine detailed looks like show room condition plus steam cleaned the carpets. They did a fab job. Diamond Cut in Exeter. They could do the inside of the wheels as they were a bit pitted so will take to South West wheels in Exeter in a few weeks. then she's tip top.
Glad you got away with a repair. It's such a waste of a good tyre otherwise. Yes, those wheels look great. How clean! Silver wheels for me, any day of the week.
Back of your wheels are brilliant, l have a bench mounted buffing wheel and as you will know the Jag wheel nuts have a stainless steel sheath. I polished mine on the buffing wheel and they shine up beautifully. Brings that extra class to the wheels appearance 😊
Very jealous of the cleanliness of the inside of your wheels. Wish mine were half that nice. If your "soft" socket is one of the inexpensive one you can buy online, be sure to check after each use. They are good for not marring the wheel lugs, but they are not quality and will crack over time.
Hi Paul, could really tell your frustration about the flat, I felt your pain, just the same with me. 100% agree on the wheels, black wheels are very much an acquired taste....... or are we just old? What is totally baffling me is how the hell did you smuggle it into the kitchen???
I like gold wheels on a black car or bike. I got the same wheels as you but I will need to clean them up to make them as nice. I seen on another video that the wheel nuts/studs are a weak point, so I'm a little apprehensive on taking them off for the first time.
Paul are you planning on visiting any shows soon , I get my XK BACK tomorrow , can you show how to replace spoiler stop tail light as I will be having to replace mine
I recently had a repair done and I asked if they’d be plugging it and they said they’d be doing a vulcanised patch repair from the inside and that it’s rare for anyone to use plugs these days. I’m assuming yours was plugged because the hole is close to the shoulder/wall of the tyre?
Hey Paul, not sure how you feel about sharing your knowledge? I too live in the North East and would appreciate you providing links to your suppliers - either the ones online (which I know you've done before for the spark plugs), but also the tyre shop. As someone not in the know, its easy to look at the hundreds of options on the internet and end up somewhere it maybe better to avoid. Perhpaps a few collaborations with these companies (where you provide recommendations) could provide you with a better deal when you need new tyres for the Jag. Just a thought, but appreciate you may not be intersted in going down that UA-camr influencer type approach!
Xk convertable roof control button. Currently l find that you have to keep your finger on the switch while the roof goes up or down. Why is this not a one press operation? Can itbe made a one press operation?
That Rim looks lovely. Another great video Paul.
Senta Alloys are just the perfect Rim for a Jaguar X150
Your car is looking a million dollars. Those wheels 💥💥💥

Just make sure the socket is all the way over the nuts
I have about 5 or six nuts on my wheels that need replacing

Ha ha yeah I've asked a couple of suppliers if they would be interested. Maybe in the future 🤔

Hello thanks for watching
Yes it's possible using a modification
It's designed that way to prevent accidents or damage if the roof has an obstruction
I’m sure you could have plugged that yourself 😉
Yes I'm qualified to do tyres but I don't have the equipment, I actually enjoyed tyre fitting 😅
@@life_on_cars i thought you might be 👍
